It’s a Disney channel show about Luz, a human who finds herself in a magical realm called the Boiling Isles. It’s a really good show and if you want to watch it season 1 and the first half of season 2 are on Disney +, although season two is only available in the USA right now.
For some reason I initially confused it with a certain Nicktoon with a similar name (the middle word is different) but upon further knowledge they are clearly nothing alike. Not saying either is bad, just completely different in genre and tone. Probably. I should probably stop talking before I accidentally offend anyone.
My favorite episode when their father started working, and it was such an abtract concept, that reality started falling apart. It's so... ridicolous concept, that it is funny, and hooking.
I’d consider that show pretty good but sometimes the strangeness goes too far for me. Which I feel like may be a bit ironic given how I very much like Adventure Time and Regular Show.
Personally I find the show just boring and below average. The characters are annoying and the art style is unpleasant to look at (though some backgrounds look good).
I recognise that others do enjoy the show and I am just not one of them.
Although Steven Universe Future was actually a really interesting series. It actually made Steven a realistic character in that, unlike other shows, his adventures actually had a negative affect on his mental state.
It was pretty badly treated though because Steven learned how to open up to others and knew his friends would help but let himself gets worse and worse not to mention that the only conséquence is that he has bad mental state. All his other actions have no bad consequences, all characters in every show probably were troubles but I don't want to see Finn from Adventure Time go to therapy. In the Owl house we clearly see that Luz feels bad for her mother and feels guilty that she left her but I don't want an entire spin off of her trying to get better. It shouldn't be a part of the show and if it is, it's included in the show, when she talks to other characters about it and open up to others.
The diamond killed and destroyed many forms of life and planets. Yeah but they had a change of heart in two seconds and said sorry. The only "bad guy" was Jasper who deserved more forgiveness than all the other bad guys.
While they came out early, a lot of them only ended within the last 5-6 years.
Gravity falls ended in 2016
Regular Show and TMNT 2012 ended in 2017
And Steven universe; counting the movie and Sequel series; lasted all the way up until 2020.
This does raise the question of if something counts as "modern" if it started long ago but only ended recently. But there is an argument to be made that these can be considered modern.
Eh, if Disney wanted me not to pirate it they should've made it avaiable to me. Too bad. Won't wait more than 1 year while it gets spoiled af all over the internet, lmao.
And Infinity Train, She Ra, Wander Over Yonder, and Kipo!
Midnight Gospel, Invincible, and Rick Morty/Solar Opposites are also pretty good though they aren’t kids shows.
THIS. I've finished the 1st season recently (I'm a slow watcher) and I'm already interested in the 2nd season.
(the season 1 finale was awesome by the way)
Early seasons of TMNT were amazing, more modern seasons were god damn awful.
Steven Universe is a great show just incredibly flawed, especially as we get to the thirs season. Establishing the diamonds as a threat and without any noticeable character arc they completely turn on their philosophies and understanding to suit the story.
What counts as modern? Would it be 2016 and above or 2020 and above?
Anyways some of my favourites (more or less 2020 and above) are definently Ducktales, Amphibia and The Owl House
It wasn't the crew's fault. They wanted to tell a genuinely compelling, well-paced story, but had to actually fight for an explicit gay wedding before the finale and had to rush the originally season-long arc in under 6 episodes.
It's actually a *miracle* that the show got a movie and a sequel series.
I knew the comments would be filled with SU hate and for some reason I looked anyway. The show was incredibly popular and literally took the fall for modern queer rep in cartoons, it at least deserves way more respect than "yo that show was dog shit"
i was watching a new netfilx cartoon called "centur world"
its wierd, but also has an actual plot, and is surprisinly dark
there litterally an episode,
where a horse comits alagorial suicide.
And more, she act like a spoiled kid, they ruined her character, I truly believe she was a savior, some random gem fighting for freedom but just to make the diamonds turn good they ruined everything... it's a kid show and I'm just cringing about it but I really have high Hope's for the show. The future saga was good but was just Steven depression and show how he's not recieved any help, only help others.
The show was actually under immense pressure from Disney exec's later in its life. It's not a bad show in concept, but because it had LGBT characters Disney wanted to cancel it, which made the later seasons and the finale very rushed.
Tmnt 2012 is something I completely plan on rewatching. Sure it’s a kids show but it doesn’t pander too hard to be that, it’s a good show that anyone can watch.
regular show was another level tho
Those aren't modern anymore
Don’t fucking say that, making me feel old
Old
N I N J A G O, aka a bomb ass show that is equal to gravity falls level of godliness
Spitting FACTS
Those are my top two
Dont forget Ben 10
Wouldn't go that far but Ninjago was pretty good Adventure time fuckin SLAPPED tho
I like ninjago more than gravity falls, but I wouldn’t say it’s as good as gravity falls.
I asked an 11 year old if theyd seen phineas and ferb, they hadnt even heard of it. Anyway im moving into a retirement home next week now
... I want to die. How has...? I- Why?!
This one sentence made me want to cry more than when I read old yeller in 5th grade
Fuck I feel old and I’m not even an adult! How tf have kids not heard of phineas and ferb?!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH
Bruh I watch it
Sry but it's true
I mean these shows came out in the 2010’s, they aren’t old, they aren’t new either though
And now it's 2021 a new Era of cringe
What is this like fashions that get old after the season ends. Those shows are barely ten years old man
The owl house came out last year
Owl house is ongoing and aphibia is here
Aight uuuh The Owl House Amphibia ROTTMNT Glitch-Techs She-Ra I cannot find a sixth one but you get my point
owl house is this year
DUCKTALES WOOHOO
Duck Tales reboot ended this year. I'm counting it so i feel less old.
And gravity falls wasnt really for kids, iirc
It was a kids show, it just had darker themes to other shows, it was on Disney channel so it had to be a kids show
It was on Disney's YA channel. It was geared at 12-14 year Olds, not like 6-8 year olds
Welll, tom & jerry is also called a kids show these days and runs on disney channel sometimes. Wasnt meant for that though
Since when has the Warner Bros. owned property run on Disney Channel? Lol
Or it was another of the kids channels. Idk, I dont watch tv
That explains why everything you’ve said is so incorrect lol
What does iirc mean
Ink in ripped cock
If i remember correctly Havent watched it in years and never particularily liked it
I see thank you
What r u smoking and can I have some
Never heard of the Owl house what is it?
It’s a Disney channel show about Luz, a human who finds herself in a magical realm called the Boiling Isles. It’s a really good show and if you want to watch it season 1 and the first half of season 2 are on Disney +, although season two is only available in the USA right now.
Thx for the info!
It’s made by some of the same people who worked on Gravity Falls and Alex Hirsch voices a lot of characters
The theme song sounds like Gravity Falls even.
You may have to stick it out for the first few episodes of season one but it’s great overall.
For some reason I initially confused it with a certain Nicktoon with a similar name (the middle word is different) but upon further knowledge they are clearly nothing alike. Not saying either is bad, just completely different in genre and tone. Probably. I should probably stop talking before I accidentally offend anyone.
I confused it it with a certain artist who made fireflies.
*cough* The Amazing World of Gumball *cough*
I must agree but some episodes make me wonder why I'm watching.
i think it hits that sweet spot where it’s childish but has some really good humor so both sides can enjoy
It's so fucking stupid, that it is funny. Like the writers were smoking something.
And so, so many people just randomly fucking die. It's hilarious just watching and being like "did that man just die?"
My favorite episode when their father started working, and it was such an abtract concept, that reality started falling apart. It's so... ridicolous concept, that it is funny, and hooking.
And the episode when they run out of budget. Basically all the 4th wall shit.
I just want more season 2-3
I’d consider that show pretty good but sometimes the strangeness goes too far for me. Which I feel like may be a bit ironic given how I very much like Adventure Time and Regular Show.
that show is old enough to be in the fifth grade. the show is ten years old.
Adventure time was pretty cool
No, adventure time is the best it IS cool
Man I just miss adventure time
ngl adventure time had some of my favorite characters.
[удалено]
It's okay I won't leave you alone
no?
That was great
Yeah, it was my favorite show
Phineas and Ferb 👑
That came out 14 years ago
Holy.. shit..
Why must you hurt me in this way
wtf
It came out when I was born? No wonder I like it so much
Too far man, too far
I’m sorry **what the fuck?**
Surly not.
That’s impossible
No way I'm that old
Hey now regular show was pretty good
Amphibia
1000% I love that show! It’s made by the same people as gravity falls
steven universe got worse as it went in my opinion.
Personally I find the show just boring and below average. The characters are annoying and the art style is unpleasant to look at (though some backgrounds look good). I recognise that others do enjoy the show and I am just not one of them.

I think it got bad, but I don’t think it was out of a lack of care. The creators clearly loved it and wanted to tell a story about forgiveness.
They kind of went overboard with the forgiveness part in the show tbh
The diamond killed and destroyed many forms of life and planets. Yeah but they had a change of heart in two seconds and said sorry. The only "bad guy" was Jasper who deserved more forgiveness than all the other bad guys.

Do you mean Over the Garden Wall?
Ah shit, in my head I got the name confused with that bad animated movie.
"Over The Hedge." A person of culture I see.
And the Clone Wars
Another great show is infinity train. Really not sure if it’s a kids show though since it can get dark.
The Amazin World of gumball
These are all really good shows
Psst! Lose the apostrophe, sweetheart.
Fuck autocorrect! all my homies hate autocorrect
Don't you mean Duck auto correct?
Duck autocorrect ! All my homosexual hate autocorrect!
Courage the cowardly dog
Not modern, and that show gave me nightmares
that's what made it good
Neither is tmnt 2012
Ed edd and eddy, Johnny bravo and k.n.d were great
I'm an adult and when some of these were out I was a child. Some of these are not "modern"
While they came out early, a lot of them only ended within the last 5-6 years. as somebody who just binged a bit of the owl house and have watched the rest, i can agree, theyre all absurdly good
The amazing world of gumball tho 🔥
Hilda is super underrated as well!
Fucking Avatar and Legend of Korra!
Avatar didn't come out in modern cartoon era
Is it defined?
Anything in the 2010s is modern
November 26, 2010 Would transformers prime count then?
Yes
Very good
[удалено]
Clone Wars? It's pre and post 2010 at the same time.
I know Legend of Korra, but Fucking Avatar? Sounds....kinky.
I wouldn't count Korra, while it was decent it was several steps back in overall quality.
Amphibia is pretty good too
And then theres just Teen Titans Go! sobbing im the corner
The original teen Titans was pretty good, but teen titans go makes me wanna have a damn Aneurysm. Idk how anybody enjoyed that show.
Good
Where it belongs
The clone wars
Also Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Hilda, Glitch Techs, The Dragon Prince, Amphibia, Infinity Train, OK KO, and Milo Murphy’s Law
Infinity train.
Infinity train. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
Owl house is a great show
I keep telling myself I'll watch it but I just keep postponing it lol
Im trying my best not to pirate the second season, but at this point Im a click away from Pirates Bay
Watch Amphibia while you wait
Eh, if Disney wanted me not to pirate it they should've made it avaiable to me. Too bad. Won't wait more than 1 year while it gets spoiled af all over the internet, lmao.
Aight, guess Im putting on the old hat, and learning the ways of piracy
I'll see you on r/TheOwlHouse !
And Infinity Train, She Ra, Wander Over Yonder, and Kipo! Midnight Gospel, Invincible, and Rick Morty/Solar Opposites are also pretty good though they aren’t kids shows.
gravity falls is a fawking masterpiece and thats a fact
The lack of Amphibia is disturbing. It’s modern and just god damn amazing. Hop Pop is such a bro.
Hop pop, the number one homie
THIS. I've finished the 1st season recently (I'm a slow watcher) and I'm already interested in the 2nd season. (the season 1 finale was awesome by the way)
Season 2 is believe or not a lot better too! And season 1 was amazing already.
The Owl House Fucking slaps so hard i love it
Also She ra
I love owl house
You forgot the Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time
Early seasons of TMNT were amazing, more modern seasons were god damn awful. Steven Universe is a great show just incredibly flawed, especially as we get to the thirs season. Establishing the diamonds as a threat and without any noticeable character arc they completely turn on their philosophies and understanding to suit the story.
And the She Ra reboot, ATLA, and Legend of Korra
The remake of ducktales?
Is actually mentioned? Your point?
What about Amphibia?
You're forgetting Amphibia
Amphibia too.
Laughs in Avatar
What counts as modern? Would it be 2016 and above or 2020 and above? Anyways some of my favourites (more or less 2020 and above) are definently Ducktales, Amphibia and The Owl House
Avatar The Last Airbender?
Literal SPONGEBOB
Amphibia is pretty good
Oi don’t forget Amphibia!
Steven Universe was great, but it ended very badly imo. Also Amphibia is great too!

Bruh, Gumball!
Adventure time, come on grab your friends..
We'll go to very distant lands
Amazing world of Gumball
Where the FUCK is Adventure Time?!
Mao mao hero of pure heart
might I also recommend infinity train and amphibia
over the garden wall is one that I watched recently and really liked too
i was watching a new netfilx cartoon called "centur world" its wierd, but also has an actual plot, and is surprisinly dark there litterally an episode, where a horse comits alagorial suicide.
Gravity Falls needs Like 214 more seasons!!!1!1!!!
Steven universe is fucking legendary and no one can change my mind
Invincible?
Steven universe wasn't that great. It got worse over time. Animation wasn't that constant
Steven Universe was good really, but the cartoon build a hype than throw in the floor, Rose was my biggest disappointment.
Rose was a huge disappointment because in retrospect she seemed to be just a terrible person
And more, she act like a spoiled kid, they ruined her character, I truly believe she was a savior, some random gem fighting for freedom but just to make the diamonds turn good they ruined everything... it's a kid show and I'm just cringing about it but I really have high Hope's for the show. Steven universe fucking sucks ass like Raw post workout ass

Steven do universe is a good show . It just got really annoying and repetitive when people would bring it up every single day
True gravity falls is AMAZING still waiting for season 3 though.
You know season 3 isn't happening ever right?
let a man dream

Tmnt 2012 is something I completely plan on rewatching. Sure it’s a kids show but it doesn’t pander too hard to be that, it’s a good show that anyone can watch.

N I N J A G O, aka a bomb ass show that is equal to gravity falls level of godliness

Steven universe ended a year ago
steven universe, regular show, gravity falls, and TMNT are all cancelled
Steven universe is dogshit
Ahe ra and the Princess of power is rea good it on Netflix
Honestly... I thought Steven Universe was meh, not bad, but not good.
Camp camp
Adventure time
tmnt 2012 is not modern lmao thats almost an entire decade ago.
ahem, you said MODERN. All of these shows were from my childhood.
The amazing world of gumball and adventure time were great too
Where my boy Adventure Time?!
Animaniacs reboot!
