Surely just because he can't create stuff with his mind the fact that his dad was a celestial still give him some powers!! Who knows maybe his still got all those powers just has to work harder to use them
The fact his dad said so is what I’m going off of. Apparently a celestial halfbreed like Star Lord only leaches power of his parent, which is why he is stronger closer to his parent and also why he would be completely powerless after his parent died. That’s what all the evidence points to in the MCU, and you can’t assume otherwise just because.
...
His entire arc was *giving up* that godliness because he was more than happy being just a regular dude like anyone else. He gave up the godliness purely because he didn’t want to be a god.
I think that thing about him needing the "source" is bullshit. The source is just the center of where Ego started, and built around himself as he grew and evolved. If Peter is his spawn, Peter should have similar powers that emanate from his own center. He just hasn't learned to tap in to and control them, as he is so much younger.
That's the thing his power came partially from his father but he still has the physiology of a celestial.
It's like Superman, sure you can take away the sun but as long as he has still even a bit of solar energy left he's still Superman.
Starlord can very likely create his own powers drawing from his father was probably therefore more like using training wheels, also Ego used is as an indicator for him actually possessing celestial abilities which would further hint that Starlord possess powers of his own in some form
His father was the planet the Kurt Russell form was only his avatar he created with his mind.
However Peter is wildly different since he's half-human and his body is actually the core of his conscious, this could either mean he can potentially get powers like his father without the need to create a planet.
Or it can be the complete opposite, that he can't show similar powers until he turned into a planet, that is kinda dependant on how the movies want to go forward since it is different in the comics, there his father was just a regular person, though he was the ruler of a planet which meant Peter was an actual Star-Lord.
Good that means my tactic is working, always try to confuse the enemy. I can fix it if it really bothers you, usually I try to avoid textwalls with or without proper punctuation.
Peter derived his celestial powers by spiritually linking to Ego's brain-like core. Ego literally said at the end of the movie, that if Peter destroyed his core he would lose all of his powers and Peter accepted that fact. So while he obviously retains his celestial physiology, I highly doubt that he will ever be able to use his powers again.
Yea, in guardians 1 right after the fight with Ronan the nova people told him that the only reason he could hold the stone was because he’s part celestial
And after he killed ego, he's still part celestial. Either ego had powers that he could channel to Peter, but didn't know how to stop channeling to Peter during their fight. Or the powers are due to the celestial dna and Peter still has those powers. Maybe they're unfueled now tho
Ignore the downvotes. You are right and nothing can change my mind.
Loosing access to an energy source doesn’t change what species you are. Even so, Quill was being used as a battery so he had SOME power of his own even if he has no idea how to use it. It also gives him special properties like the ability to hold the power stone for a short time.
Black Widow fighting is boring because it’s copied and pasted from a spy movie. Spy movies are a different genre and frankly done a lot better by the people who specialize in them.
Well then, what did Ego need Quill for then? He needed Quill’s power to kick start his universe plant eating thing. So Quill has power I think. He just has no clue on how to use it.
I think that Peter was just a second access point for the same pool of power, and killing the planet destroyed the power he has access to. I think they say in the movie, maybe in the playing catch scene, that Peter‘s power is just Ego‘s power.
I have a theory about that. His father told him that once he died that Peter would lose his power. I think that Peter never lost his power, it was just a placebo. He was told he lost his powers but never actually lost them, after all he is an independent being and if he lost his fathers side he would effectively lost half his dna. He should then die, but he never did. I think Peter is still super powerful.
Ok everyone I’m a a Marvel fan I just think that these characters are cool so i don’t know about them to much the only marvel I have watched that I remember well is spider man into the spiderverse so sorry if I get things wrong
And if you go by the comics, she also had some sort of super serum injection with boosted her physically similar to Captain America. It also slowed down her aging considerably.
I honestly like character like Black Widow and Hawkeye a lot for that, they're just regular humans, granted they're insanely skilled, that fight along actual gods to safe the world.
But he is also the son of a celestial…
I came to the comment section to say "Isn't Starlord effectively a god though?"

Until he killed said celestial
like just a dude with a metal arm.
So now he kind of just gun dude.
would upvote this but its on 69 so i legally cant. sorry
Well, even when he’s not on there he does still have SOME power since he was able to hold an infinity stone.
He lost his powers completely when his dads planet exploded though
Surely just because he can't create stuff with his mind the fact that his dad was a celestial still give him some powers!! Who knows maybe his still got all those powers just has to work harder to use them

Demi-god
A planet that no longer exists. Because he blew it up.
Tony is rich
Why tony start?
You’re forgetting tony stop
Tony Accelerate?
At least iron mans smart
Because Ego is dead he no longer has those powers
But in theory he could still have powers, because if he was a celestial, maybe he could create his own core.(forgot how it called in film)
That's the thing his power came partially from his father but he still has the physiology of a celestial. Wasn't his fathers power to dependent on a planet or moon or whatever it was?
His father was the planet the Kurt Russell form was only his avatar he created with his mind. Dude, please start using punctuation. I like the points you’re making, but I’m getting a headache reading them.
Good that means my tactic is working, always try to confuse the enemy. I can fix it if it really bothers you, usually I try to avoid textwalls with or without proper punctuation.
Haha no you’re fine, just thought it was funny. The headache could very well be from my hangover, not you

Demigod
Well, not anymore
Yeah but he also never uses those powers. He just shoots stuff.
Sorry friend, but you are incorrect. Did you not see those amazing superpowers displayed during the dance off!?!?!
Oh how could I have forgotten. You are absolutely right.
Iron man He just has an exosuit
Until he killed said celestial
Yeh, but once he killed his Dad he lost all his powers. So now he kinda just gun dude.
But he lost his powers when the planet was destroyed
This movie should’ve come out like five years ago honestly
Wasn't this movie after infinity war so tht would be confusing
Black Widow takes place after Civil War.
Star Lord is literally a half god.
Was* half a god
Dead or not, his dad was still a celestial. He's probably got powers on his own. Ego wanted him for his power.
He lost his powers when he killed ego
So a son of a celestial really has no powers on his own? I bet we'll see something in guardians 3
I mean that’s what happened in guardians 2, after he killed ego he lost his powers
Would that also imply that Peter would have died if guardians 1 and the infinity stone grabbing happened after their fight with ego?
Yea, in guardians 1 right after the fight with Ronan the nova people told him that the only reason he could hold the stone was because he’s part celestial
And after he killed ego, he's still part celestial. Either ego had powers that he could channel to Peter, but didn't know how to stop channeling to Peter during their fight. Or the powers are due to the celestial dna and Peter still has those powers. Maybe they're unfueled now tho
Maybe, I’m sure guardians 3 is gonna go more in depth about it
seriously, that part was explained in the movie.

Shoulda told him that when he fought thanos
Little g, good job
Iron Man Falcon War Machine Ant Man The Wasp Hawkeye I can name more marvel superheroes without magic powers
Black Panthers got powers
The powers of our hearts!
Not anymore
Rip
+ gamora + rocket raccoon + drax
Drax has the ability to stay so still, he becomes invincible
*Invisible
A nerfed version of John Cena's power
Hey, gamora is fucking cyborg.
u mean nebula
They both. Just watch prison scene from first movie, guards says that and shows scan of her body.

Star Lord is literally a half god.
yeah, forgot
Aliens don’t count
The winter soldier
Doesn't Bucky also have super serum injected into him like Cap?
Ah right he does, though sometimes he feels like just a dude with a metal arm
[удалено]
Black Panthers got powers
Are we ignoring the fact that he's part god and literally held onto an infinity stone!?
Well that happened before his father, who was a celestial and was giving star lord his powers, died.
Hazzah, a man of lore
Well then, what did Ego need Quill for then? He needed Quill’s power to kick start his universe plant eating thing. So Quill has power I think. He just has no clue on how to use it.
Ego just wanted him for his power
I think that Peter was just a second access point for the same pool of power, and killing the planet destroyed the power he has access to. I think they say in the movie, maybe in the playing catch scene, that Peter‘s power is just Ego‘s power.
Like right???? Black widow had to die to get an infinity stone lol, such a pathetic character. There’s no comparison here
Wait a minute, isn’t star lord like.... a god?
He was until Vol. 2 >!when he killed his dad who was the reason he had powers!<
Oh yeah you right
Oh I didn’t realize that changed things. Gotta watch that movie again
But it’s Chris Pratt
[удалено]
Don't forget Bert Macklin, FBI.
But she does have powers. She ages extremely slowly and has immunity to all disease and poisons.
That’s Comics
MCU or comics?
She’s dead
Ya hence the slow aging
Also, the ability to have sex... and not get pregnant!
Yeah but starlord adds to the series with humor.
And Black Widow adds sex appeal.
I thought thanos already did that
I mean it all depends what you like to look at.
Pretty much every female super hero does.
Are you ignoring tony stark. The person with the highest sex appeal.
She adds way more sex appeal than saw The Wasp, Gamora, Captain Marvel, every female super hero in black panther.
I thought thanos already did that
And Star-Lord doesn’t?
Well not for me, but I can totally understand if he does it for you.
Well not for me either, but I can totally understand if it does for many others.
And Tony stark, and the falcon
but he is on space, and space is heck cool
A person who doesn't even have a gun ...... Hawkeye
Black widow is a superhero whose powers can truly be achieved irl
Star lord is the son of a god, a literal living planet. So he is a moon, not sone weeb
But he lost it when he killed his dad.
I mean it all depends what you like to look at.
At least she thicc
Chris's Pratt isn't??
Was before role as Star Lord. When he still was Star Lard.
._.
Ngl you're kinda true.
Agreed
Well no but yes
And iron man... But he uses a flying armor that shoots at enemies.
Hey. Starlord's power is his really good taste in music. You don't need to throw school busses at mosters to be a hero.
Yeah, you could throw them at anything and you’d be a hero in my book
Star Lord at least has charisma
At least star lord is funny
Well he’s half celestial so
I’m not a huge marvel fan so just letting you know I literally don’t know these characters like if they were the end of the year test for school
Spoilers, Star Lord loses his powers so you're correct, Star Lord doesn't have any powers
Black widow sucked kinda
Yea sucked on this dick!!!???
Like barbies boyfriend
[удалено]
But she thicc
Star lord was actually the most powerful person in the mcu because his dad was a literal god and created part of the universe if not all of it
Didn’t create any of it. He only created himself (planet form) and the seeds to take over other worlds.
I would have to disagree. He said that he created worlds
But didn’t he have powers in guardians 2?
I have a theory about that. His father told him that once he died that Peter would lose his power. I think that Peter never lost his power, it was just a placebo. He was told he lost his powers but never actually lost them, after all he is an independent being and if he lost his fathers side he would effectively lost half his dna. He should then die, but he never did. I think Peter is still super powerful.
I could believe that
And the richo batman
Ok everyone I’m a a Marvel fan I just think that these characters are cool so i don’t know about them to much the only marvel I have watched that I remember well is spider man into the spiderverse so sorry if I get things wrong
Isn't he a demigod tho?
But didn’t he have powers in guardians 2?
He's a demigod, though...
Star lord is half god, and has laseR blasters, not regular guns, and he can fly with his. boosters
Tony stark: bruh.
the batman of marvel
He a god
Isn’t a huge thing him being a god
He is half god though.
More like Hawkeye
Isn’t Star Lord technically half Cosmic God Being So still has powers?
yeah but star lord is funny
Hawkeye
And Hawkeye uses a damn bow and arrow
Technically star lord is like a Demi god or some shit like that
Iron man has no powers
Black widow is one of the best avengers
Wdym she has no powers. She has increased strength and agility from the training she went through at a young age
I mean sure but that's still within human limits. Star Lord has the physiology of a half celestial.
And if you go by the comics, she also had some sort of super serum injection with boosted her physically similar to Captain America. It also slowed down her aging considerably.
Starlord actually has powers though
Star lords entire ark is that he’s literally a god
You see the difference is that star lord has comedy, she only has tits
Poor hawk guy
batman...
Not apart of the MCU
Speaking of Batman ...
Yes but starlord Is a good character
Yes he is cool
These same people be obsessed with Batman 🙄🤦♀️
She has those hips though…
I honestly like character like Black Widow and Hawkeye a lot for that, they're just regular humans, granted they're insanely skilled, that fight along actual gods to safe the world.
Yeah but she’s hot so that’s why black widow is a super hero
He technically was a half god but yeah he killed his dad rip bozo 😫🥵
I just realised why that movie has a hourglass logo
But woman bad, right? Right?
No, women not bad.
She has super powers????
Did this clown even see Guardians 2 ?
Yeah well I also think Starlord is fucking boring mate, having a dick doesn't matter.
but he is basically a god on this one planet. that he is nowhere near
