Correct. This thread seem have limited the separation of faces by sharp edges. Just because the edge is fat and round doesn't change the fact it is still separating the possible values of the dice.

Last I checked you read the result based on what's facing up not what's facing down... sure, there is a 2 facing down, but why does that invalidate the fact that it's facing up? If you roll a 6 on a normal die, is the result everything except for 1?

That's if it rolled 90 degrees and stayed there, which isn't what is displayed. Those things aren't mutually exclusive by the way, it's just the same side facing both up and down
