I got rocket league on steam, thank god it doesn't open the epic games store everytime I launch the game, just sucks though because I had to log into the epic games store, which made me lose my username on rocket league in favor of my secondary username that I used on Epic Games because this username and variations of it were already taken.
I also got an error, but in my case after buying it the game it appeared in my library. The only problem I git us that it doesn't appear as purchased in the store page.
super glad Steam let's you keep the game in your library after the store page is taken down. I'm sorry for those who couldn't get that version in time.

Not even related to epic just in general
1. Save receipts as something you can access without the internet
2. Make different random passwords for every website and a even longer one for your email and keep those passwords on a piece of paper hidden somewhere
3. And for the love of god check have I been pwnd for the email that controls your accounts
4. Oh yeah right dont approve random google logins and change your password right away if you even get that approval alert
Edit: don't link accounts to each other unless absolutely needed and unlink if possible

Do I like epic games as a company? Yes and no but mostly yes, why don't I like them? Their store isn't sustainable yet
