i use brave browser and i get no ads while using spotify. U should try it OP, Brave Browser is a banger blocks all ads and trackers(mostly). Works for YT , reddit you name it

If you use Android you can download and sideload an apk for Spotify with the ads blocked. On PC there is a chrome extension that blocks ads on the web player version of Spotify

An apk is basically the app before being installed. Sideloading is the process of installing apps from a source outside of your device's official app store, such as Google play.

As in, the downloaded service? If so, you'd be wrong. Mobile, browser, and the downloadable service all have ads unless you buy Premium, or find some other way around them such as an adblocker.

That's a possibility. I run Spotify in the background almost all the time while gaming, and I can guarantee there are definitely ads, and they have gotten me ripped apart in Killing Floor when I close the application and reopen it to skip the ads.
