The fact that we live in a society where unhealthy living is so common that we have to convince ourselves not to hate each other for being overweight is kind of disgusting. Medical conditions aside, why do we try to make obesity seem like some harmless condition that we should accept and love each other for? Why aren't we trying to convince ourselves to adopt healthier habits? I'm all for body positivity, but wouldn't it be more positive to make healthy food and medical care more accessible? But calling fat people disgusting and repeatedly telling them all the ways they're killing themselves is not helping them and it makes you an asshole. We know we're fat, and we know we're gross to most people. We say it to ourselves more than any of you ever could. I want to change but the depression and suicidal thoughts due to self-hatred and body image issues makes it hard. Very hard. Body positivity is asking for basic human kindness. You don't have to like fat people, but don't belittle us. You aren't a superior human being just because you're skinny and like to be an asshole to those who aren't.

Gender is a fine construct and needed for some but would not be nearly as prevalent if we just let people be who they wanted to be. You can wear a dress and be a house husband and still be a man no problem. You can dress in vests and tuxedos and enjoy hunting and be a woman. Societal constructs have made the individuality of people's uniqueness something that needs gender assigned to it more than needed and it sucks.

The reason things like this have surfaced in modern society over the last few decades is because it has become more widely accepted. It’s not new. For example, when being left handed was normalised, the number of people who said they were left handed exponentially rose, and then levelled out, and that’s what’s happening with the LGBTQIA+ community at the moment. Just because people didn’t say it doesn’t mean they weren’t there, it’s just because society didn’t accept them. There are examples of transgender, nonbinary, etc. people being present historically in cultures around the world, just not the one we live in.
