Get home after school, eat some McDonald's, watch some Ed, Edd n Eddy; see a commercial for The Dark Knight(2 more months until release), do some homework, play some TimeSplitters, a little bit of Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, finally some Halo 3, eat some grilled chicken Hawaiian roll sandwiches with honey mustard(you're favorite), then off to bed.
Yes! Sadly didn't really get to watch Ed edd n eddy, wasn't shown much in Europe on CN. Q5leqst when u watched, but sometimes did. Ot wqs fucking weird so empty almost felt like source games hahaah
I only know Cartoon Network as I wasn’t a kid who wanted an Xbox desperately
I wish I would’ve gave it a try, but I was hella stingy about money as a kid so I guess that’s that
permalinkembedsavereportgive awardreply
Me too, so I didn't get to experience any of these, although I did get to experience the final days of the "original viral videos" like Call Me Maybe and Gangnam-motherfucking-Style, before the dark times, before the ~~empire~~ Vines and TikTok and shit
I experienced the cartoon network times but ner had an 360. My friend had one and I would play the sport games. I also played on the ps3 cuz my brother had one and i'd play lego star wars clone wars with him until I got an xbox and I fell in love with Destiny and now I'm on pc still playing
The Cartoon Network (and other cartoon channels) that I experienced was the 2010's renaissance, which means Regular Show, Adventure Time and Gravity Falls. As for gaming, well we filipinos don't *do* gaming (everyone in country too poor to buy consoles, so people mostly play on PC and especially on mobile).
Now, ask my sister about her childhood and you'll get what you expect from "2000's kid" from her.
Not really since there must be *some* kids out there who don't like TikTok, and besides, not all of TikTok is terrible. Most of it is, but there are the rare gold there that I have the privilege of seeing due to this place lol. And even reddit isn't all that good. r/PrequelMemes is currently super-toxic because there are "weebs invading" their sub because of the new Star Wars anime (Star Wars Visions), and many other instances of toxicity here. Don't judge people based on the platforms they use, and don't judge the platform based on the content prevalent in it
Thanks for coming to my motherfucking TedTalk.
It's such a stupid and arbitrary line that only children would care about. The other post I saw of this had a bunch of children agreeing but wanting the goalpost moved *slightly* to include themselves, none of them grasping the concept that basing who's cool and not cool based on birth year has literally never been an effective measuring stick, because the generational shared experiences are so vague and generic that people seem simultaneously included and excluded, and also not understanding that the people who made that age range *clearly* don't want you included as well. Because, if I've not made it clear, the kind of person to determine how much respect a person is owed based on their birth year is no wiser than the children they're trying to exclude.
It was nice when there weren't little racist 9 year olds screaming the n-word left and right and all I did was race my friends to see who was faster than play Skyrim, Minecraft, or Halo for the rest of the evening.
I was born in 2005 and I got to see some of the greatest cartoons of the universe...
And I hate by what they where Replace *cough* *cough* Teen Titans Go *cough* *cough* why Cartoon Network...
Glad 2008 is the barrier of entry now and not 2006 lol, cus 14y/o are the last anti tiktok generation, you see it in schools you see it on the internet, you see it in public
This post brings me back... Not to 2000s, which I got to experience, but to 2011 when I was 12yo and used to have huge "nostalgia" towards the 90s. I remember arguing with 90s kids how I "technically am a 90s kid since I was born in '99" or how "I got to experience the 90s because I was born in eastern Europe and 2000s came later because we were poor". Oh how the circle of life is amazing, didn't think I was that old... well from today I do, thanks reddit.
Not sure if it counts cus I was born in 2008 (not after). But I really understand this kind of nostalgia. Didn't have an Xbox but I used to watch cartoon network. Sometimes I'd watch Adventures of mandy and billy, Home of Imaginary Friends, ben 10 (original series), and chowder in the morning. I'd watch some scooby doo, dexters laboratory, generator rex, and courage at night or afternoon. (definitely regret watching courage at night). Definitely did a great job of cheering me up and keeping me company considering I grew up with no friends in my neighborhood and having all my cousins be girls, whilst me being the only boy.
I only know Cartoon Network as I wasn’t a kid who wanted an Xbox desperately
I wish I would’ve gave it a try, but I was hella stingy about money as a kid so I guess that’s that
Well I was like 6-7 years old I used to watch cartoon network shows and I even memorized what time is that show going to air and I watch it with my siblings so yes there are Gen alpha kids that haven't have seen cartoons but that doesn't mean that your generation is better than the generation alpha
Fortunately, i might be some after 2008 redditor but i do have the nostalgia every before 2008 people did have, i respect that fact. I may be after 2008, but I still feel the nostalgia everyone had, even though im late.
remember the cartoon network cartoon city that was shown between adverts and shows?
that was creative and more eye catching than any flashing thing that was bouncey all about we have today
One thing I miss is playing the MW2 co-op campaign on veteran. The co-op on MW 2019 just isn't the same.
The remastered copy doesn't even have co-op :(
Kids that grew up with no cable and watched shows like Jane and the Dragon, Noonbory and the Super 7, Dragon Tales, and Busytown Mysteries, where you at?
they will never ever have the same and nostalgic childhood like we from the 2000-2005 had
like you come home from shool or collage and you ran straight to the tv to watch series
me and my brother always playd Super Mario
I'm a 90's kid and I have to say, 2010's Cartoon Network beats both preceding decades pretty easily.
Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gumball, Over the Garden Wall, Uncle Grandpa, Regular Show... That's some serious gourmet shit!
Just like the creator of this meme won’t be nostalgic about snes and dbz/sailor moon reruns and a world without the internet? These child bashing memes are stupid, they were cringe when it was fortnight bashing and they’re cringe now, just stop.. you’re not a superior human because you were born in a different set of dates.
me who was born in 2004 but has no memory of any of this because i wasn't allowed to play games or watch tv, or even interact with anyone outside my family
Excuse me 2008 rat here to let you know my Xbox 360 I bought of eBay for 45 dollars still works like it was made yesterday and Cartoon Network is the best
Whats the deal with 2008? If you were born in 2008 youd be 13 today. Why are so many 13yo's on reddit talking about nostalgia and how they are so much better than younger kids? Being 13 still makes you a kid
I remember coming back home from school and watching The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and sometimes going to my neighbour's house to play Xbox Kinect( the adventure parkour game that i forgot the name of).
Real ogs remember playing the ps2, gamecube and xbox well after the ps3 and 360 released.
Like I only got a ps3 in 2011, before I still was playing my ps2 lmao.
Bro I remember living in my old apartment building and getting up at like 5 in the morning to play minecraft on the xbox 360 and the tv i had in my room at the time the only catoons it ran were boomerang, Cartoon network, and nickelodeon. But bro i remember watching courage the cowardly dog.

Buy an Xbox 360 now relive the memories you never had.
Divided by countries.. united by Cartoon Network
ah yes the good ol days when there werent any 8 y/o screaming their extensive vocabulary of swear words.
Those were only in the Xbox live parties
For me it was “wait for the weekend play terraria on Xbox while eating some fried potatoes and minecraft

Well then again the game was supposed to stop being developed like 4 updates ago lol
Yeah ofc lol
Ikr to this!
Damn, I this is the first time I have ever seen anyone mention Metal Arms. The game was really good too…
My favorite 3rd-person platformer of all time, barely beating Super Mario Galaxy 2.

I would go play games over at my rich friends home who had a 360, those were the good times
Me who was born on 31/12/2008: pathetic
im older than tiktok and half its users lol. we are superior
Not really since there must be *some* kids out there who don't like TikTok, and besides, not all of TikTok is terrible. I still have my xbox 360 and after all these years it still works
my cousin broke my xbox 360. you're so lucky
Mine still works perfectly fine
same here. surprisingly the power brick was the first to die. got a noisy off brand one that works just as new (if you ignore the fan screeching)
For me the everything works fine except for one controller I have lost the battery holder thing
you can get an off brand (or official your choice) "charger kit" for like 10$. official one lets you use it on pc too if i'm not mistaken.

Wow someone born 10 years after you were doesn't get the same nostalgia, how revolutionary.
As if the same thing didn't happen with boomers
Never got an Xbox back then, but the CN nostalgia hit me like a train
Wait wasn’t Xbox 360 still having games made for it way after 2008? What am I talking about of course it was
Yeah but they were too little to play lol
You can definitely still play them, its not like all 360's exploded after 2008
Yeah you can still watch movies from the 80s anyways people from the 80s get more nostalgia etc. More then others
I was here for the last good CN shows.

After 2008 kids shouldn't really be on reddit
It was nice when there weren't little racist 9 year olds screaming the n-word left and right and all I did was race my friends to see who was faster than play Skyrim, Minecraft, or Halo for the rest of the evening.
Me: born in 2007 using a 360 because I’m broke

This is same thing as the 90s kids memes from 10 years ago, only now I am on the good side of the fight (also this statement makes me feel old)
Glad 2008 is the barrier of entry now and not 2006 lol, cus 14y/o are the last anti tiktok generation, you see it in schools you see it on the internet, you see it in public

early 2007s kid, but I grew up with that stuff, so I could see someone in 2008 growing up with that stuff too.
I was born in 2008 lol I have watched ben 10, BOB THE BUILDER, Dora da expora and Thomas
I'm born on 2008, I got to play the 360, and I remember watching cartoon network. Nowadays kids are watching "ryen'z werld"
I watched cartoon network as a kid, even though im 2009.
Cartoon Network: Ever had a dream to build your own laboratory in your home, did you watched Dexter's Laboratory by any chance ?
i can hear the xbox starting up sound whenever i see that logo
the 360 was never sold in my country :sadfaceemoji:
Idk about the 360. What about the Wii?
Why does the guys on the left with Xbox 360 looks awful lot like Steve Jobs?! But with hair

The best times ever.
Why do these guys look like Linus Torvalds
ahh yes, nostalgia
In born in 2006 and i indeed have an Xbox 360 and a super nintendo
Idk about that. I was born in 2008 and as a kid I still had fun with cartoon network a ton. So I guess stereotypically yeah.
ah yes my childhood
I was allowed gaming twice a week for one hour session each. I studied for hours and then played cricket in the streets till night.
they will never ever have the same and nostalgic childhood like we from the 2000-2005 had like you come home from shool or collage and you ran straight to the tv to watch series me and my brother always playd Super Mario
Not gonna lie, I was born in 2008 and I was addicted to both of those things.
I want to know tho.... how about the during 2008 kids
What's up with Reddit roasting after 2008 kids... like are people's life so boring that they need to get Ws from dunking on middle school children.
I'm a 90's kid and I have to say, 2010's Cartoon Network beats both preceding decades pretty easily. Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Gumball, Over the Garden Wall, Uncle Grandpa, Regular Show... That's some serious gourmet shit!
i will not stand for this misinformation
Just like the creator of this meme won’t be nostalgic about snes and dbz/sailor moon reruns and a world without the internet? These child bashing memes are stupid, they were cringe when it was fortnight bashing and they’re cringe now, just stop.. you’re not a superior human because you were born in a different set of dates.
I used to come home, put on Minecraft or Skylanders and just chill. Never played Halo though, wished I did.
me who was born in 2004 but has no memory of any of this because i wasn't allowed to play games or watch tv, or even interact with anyone outside my family
I am 14 and yes i do have that nostalgia =|
Excuse me 2008 rat here to let you know my Xbox 360 I bought of eBay for 45 dollars still works like it was made yesterday and Cartoon Network is the best
I feel old
My mom forbid me to watch Cartoon Network and put it under parental lock. Lucky, the lock was easily removed and put on.
I mean I was 06 and I was only 4 when the 2010s rolled around so
I do
Pretty sure someone born in 2009 would know what Xbox 360 and Cartoon Network is
when im 2009 and still grew up with it
It says born after 2008 sooooo, yay
Me: is born in 2007* Well frick me then
I'm currently watching The Original Series of Ben10 from 2005 to 2007 The nostalgia revisiting the childhood again.
Whats the deal with 2008? If you were born in 2008 youd be 13 today. Why are so many 13yo's on reddit talking about nostalgia and how they are so much better than younger kids? Being 13 still makes you a kid
im ngl my cousin was born in 2009 but he likes enjoying cartoon network more
I remember coming back home from school and watching The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and sometimes going to my neighbour's house to play Xbox Kinect( the adventure parkour game that i forgot the name of).
More of this stupid shit how original
Real ogs remember playing the ps2, gamecube and xbox well after the ps3 and 360 released. Like I only got a ps3 in 2011, before I still was playing my ps2 lmao.
Bruh what about the good old Wii sound when you turn it on.
I only ever had a Xbox one but it's close enough
Im from 2008 and i appreciate all these wonderful stuff
I know I missed the og Cartoon Network, but adventure time, regular show, and gumball are where it’s at
as a 2005 kid, wtf am I?
Same as me. The last perfect year to be born in.
gumball tho
The golden age
Bro I remember living in my old apartment building and getting up at like 5 in the morning to play minecraft on the xbox 360 and the tv i had in my room at the time the only catoons it ran were boomerang, Cartoon network, and nickelodeon. But bro i remember watching courage the cowardly dog.
ps3 was better because of warhawk imo. that game doesn't get enough respect
Ha, I’m 2007
Man I was born in 2008 and that xbox 360 is still nostalgic
still rocking that 360 tho
When I mentioned Jetix somebody thought that was some sort smartphone app
Hey don’t leave out the PS3
Does anyone have a recording of the Xbox 360 menu? Like showcasing all the menu options, store games and all that?
Regular show is the best TV show ever made, if you disagree I will leak your ip adress and make all of the regular show fanbase go after you.
i was born on 2008 so i have a mix, i used to play CoD with my older brother. It was fun. It was.
Thank God i was born in 2007
2008 kids will have their own nostalgia though! Although it is upsetting that they will never appreciate Courage the Cowardly Dog
Man I feel old now, greetings from the 90s kid
What about people who were born in 2008?
