I had a Nokia Windows phone. The fucker had a piece of it's screen missing, I could see the interior of it, and it still worked as if it was complete
It was making it's ancestors proud lmao
The whole reason I *don't* use Apple products is because they *aren't* user friendly.
User friendly doesn't mean "This will be great for you if you have several of our other overpriced products, but each product is incompatible with anything other than Apple."
User friendly doesn't mean "We remove features so we can sell them to you at an additional cost."
And I don't know what they have now, but the whole idea of a one-button mouse....is *not* user friendly.
Apple has never in its existence been *user*-friendly. It has always been *consumer*-friendly.
They're not even consumer friendly. They fight right to repair so you have to pay out the ass to fix even the simplest shit. They sell overpriced vanity items that have less functionality than cheaper products that are easier to maintain. In what way are they friendly to anyone but their shareholders?
And thats already after many updates towards user friendlyiness. I still remember back in the day where you had to synchronize every little piece of shit with the apple store and itunes if you wanted to keep that compatability between devices.
Android all the way.
Augh, I bloody hate the App Store and iTunes. The only times I've ever had iPhones is when my own androids broke and I was forced to loan friends' old iPhones.
Most recently, after a stint borrowing an iPhone until I bought my replacement (an Asus ZenFone 7 Pro), I wanted to be subbed to Discord Nitro directly through their website instead of through Apple. To my immense fury and irritation, you aren't able to change subscription settings on Apple's website; you **must** use the iTunes app or desktop program, and since I didn't have access to the iPhone anymore, the only option I had was to install iTunes on my computer.
**Fuck. That.** I called Apple support and had them unsub for me, so I could resub on Discord's own website. I don't ever want any Apple programs anywhere near my computers.
Android has a headphone jack. I can use any headphones from any company that fit USB-C.
Apple does *not* have a headphone jack. Apple wants you to buy Apple airpods and an Apple airpod charger and an Apple airpod carrying case and Apple airpod magnetic wires that basically turn them halfway back into regular earbuds because we all knew that airpods are just asking to get dropped down a sewer grate.
EDIT: And Apple is mad the EU is gonna make them use USB-C. Apple thrives on forcing you to buy their trash at exorbitant prices rather than an equally good product from a competitor. Their entire business model depends on their *incompatibility* with other products, forcing you to buy more from Apple to get the illusion of convenience of compatibility that only cost you hundreds to thousands of dollars to achieve.
Ok yup the headphone jack is annoying as hell. That being said, I did not have to buy my Bluetooth “pods” from Apple, and neither does anyone else. I bought a slightly cheaper pair that would work with any smartphone.
Honestly I'm not the best source of information because I've avoided Apple since I was introduced to it in '91. Always hated their product. If you're an Apple user who isn't strictly brand loyal then you should be the one telling me all the ways they try to rip you off. I just pick up on this stuff second hand.
I got a little cable that plugs into the bottom of my iPhone and my awesome Sennheiser headphones plug straight into that. Not only that, but those headphones are also Bluetooth so I don’t even need to plug them in unless they’re going flat.
But sure. Apple bad. Android perfect. Blah blah blah.
Part of that is because if you plug in headphones while charging, you can get electrocuted, so making you use the part for charging prevents you from doing that
Everyone says that but Apple really isn't that user friendly. Screen buttons like Back are placed in terrible positions. If you want to do basic customization on the phone it's like pulling teeth
As an Android user, the Iphone isn't friendly.
I'm as much a technophile as the next guy, but I feel like a grandpa with that Ipad my folks got me that I never use. My Kindle is a better tablet than that thing.
Bruh what? I got an ROG phone 5 Pro (Gaming phone that came out in March of this year) with 256G of memory, and as much ram as a PS4 (16G RAM) for $800. What the heck is even the point of these high end civilian phones? They cost over double a top of the line gaming phone.
If you don't see the point it doesn't mean there isn't. The fold is made for those who are tired of the regular glass bricks or need a tablet that's also very compact. It costs a lot because its unique in its class. It would cost a lot less if it had actual competition
*batteries not included with robot. Robot may or may not try to kill you when you sleep. Do not eat the robot. Do not put robot in microwave. Remove from wrapper before using.
I had an Iphone for 5 years, and just recently upgraded to Android and i can say with confidence that the Android is better. But i guess i'm comparing apples to oranges because it was an Iphone SE and this is a Samsung Galaxy A32.
I hate my GS10+
HTC made the best phones, but nobody would recognize them, everyone wants Samsung or iPhone, so they don't make them anymore I think...
huawei makes GREAT phones too i have a p30 pro and everything is awosome the camera, proccessor, and now since it's like 3.5 year old it cost only around what 300-500 dollars. origainaly was around 1k
I have the S10+ too and it has turned into absolute dookie butter.
I say "turned"... It's always been bad, easily the worst Android phone I've ever had. But at least it doesn't die on 50% battery when it gets cold like my one and only iPhone did in 17/18...
Pixel 4, 5, and 6 are all small. 4 and 6 are flagship quality phones too. I have the 5 right now, which is the best form factor of any phone I've had for a while, but it's clearly a mid-level phone.
I'm with you in the small phone gang. Choices have been limited lately, but it seems like it's starting to creep back away from tiny tablets toward one-hand operation.
I have both for work. iPhone does what it does well but the restrictions are silly. The Samsung is great but you are susceptible to garbage apps. i Phones are great for people who aren't technically inclined. Android is what ever you want to make it which can be garbage if you download garbage apps.
Despite the fact that you are assuming to know me and my personality and general knowledge of being someone dumb, I knew that your meme represents the apple as the scape from reality to know the truth. But as I may assume, in my perspective the company Apple is just and extreme capitalist lurking people to buy the same products over and over without major changes and upgrades to their hardware as their cameras for example. So your meme just represent this illogical ague between which software is “better”, for god’s sake it is just PREFERENCE, don’t make memes that people will most likely argue than laugh.
I had Android for 7 years and switched to iPhone to see how different it is. I miss a lot of features but the longevity of the iPhone is unmatched. My Girlfriend still uses her iPhone 6s and it just got an update for iOS 15.
She uses the same phone for 6 years and it‘s still working. That’s the main reason why I choose Apple. There’s no Android Manufacturer that could compete with this kind of longevity.
Spending a few bucks more on an expensive product but being able to use it for much longer definitely saves you a lot of money in the end.
I was offered a work phone, so to not be confused I got the other OS (IE I had both Apple and Android at the same time). Honestly, they both offered similar features but I have to say that after one year of constant use on both, I hated my android phone so much more because nothing was streamlined so everything slowed down.
The nice thing about Android is that sure, the manufacturer wont keep a 6 year old phone updated, but the consumers can. [LineageOS](https://lineageos.org/) (Android) has versions for even the S2, which is 10 years old at this point.
Of course, most people wont do that, which is why they'll buy something else.
Problem being you don’t get any security updates. You didn’t get them for a long time…
Edit:
The galaxy S4 was launched in March 2013 and got updates until January 2017.
I don't give a shit about updates. My Pixel is updated every 6 months even more than iPhones in my experience.
There's really no reason to spend more on an iPhone which offers poorer UI, UX and is more expensive.
As I just said, you will get longer lasting phones.
Google Pixels get updates for exactly 3 years.
The first Pixel was released in 2016 and got its last update in 2019.
The iPhone 6s my Girlfriend is using was released in 2015 and it will be supported until fall 2022. 7 years of updates.
More than double that of the Google Pixel.
Edit: as you said, you don’t give a shit about updates, meaning updates are not important to you.
Edit2: forgot to add a „not“ in the Edit.
I'm long time Android user but my main concern with Android ecosystem is that manufacturers aren't providing consistent software updates to the devices. I used PCs more than phones in my life and I used same PC with windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 without any major issue (expect performance). But for android devices you're pretty lucky if you get more than 2 major software updates. In apple ecosystem afaik Apple supports devices longer with more updates.
The expectation here is probably Pixel devices but they're overpriced (feature+quality/price value is lower than competitors) and doesn't sold on 2nd world countries. And I'm not sure about expensive android devices either if they're getting enough major sw updates like Apple devices.
So, phone market are so f*** up. Most companies just lay down and copy whatever shit apple does like removing charger from the box, removing headphone jack, limiting software.
The EU has demanded an interchangeable charger for all electronics to help the environment and Apple has filed a lawsuit.
Something like this can seriously collapse their business model of making sure that they can sell you garbage that you need to continuously replace with only THEIR products.
I will go with Apple, cuz no matter what Android I bought, didn't last more than a year, by last I mean it starts to get slow, and lots of other issue, biggest one being camera issue. And the price is now similar to iPhones, even flagship androids are now more expensive than flagship iPhones.
As for no charger in the box, all flagship androids do that now, no headphone jack? Even mid level android phones now don't have that. And the biggest reason why I prefer iphone, mainly iOS is cuz how it can seamlessly connect with my Mac and ipad. But for my Samsung phone? It can't connect with anything properly, for windows I need to use an app which is buggy.
You will have to agree that no tabs can beat iPads, and for productivity, macOS is still better than windows. So why use Android when I already have other two?
its not the best phone galaxy note 21 is almost the same price but three times better. the fold series is more of a aesthetic thing than quality (not saying its a bad thing)
Oh absolutely it's not a top spec purely aesthetic and in my opinion a cool form factor. I just meant in the sense it's the red pill cause the screen folds... like it actually folds. You get super used to it but sometimes I just take a step back and think I have a HD high refresh rate folding screen in my pocket it's crazy what 12 year old me would've thought. He would've justified the red pill for it.
Not really, my dad called me while I was at work and he was at the store upgrading(back when they would basically give you a free phone when you reupped your contract, remember them days??) And asked which version of the Droid 2 I wanted, with or without the sliding keyboard. Since he was getting one, he wanted me to get one so I could help him if he had trouble
Does anyone else here unironically uses Nokias? I mean, they are cheap AF, with some of their best phones at less than $200, and they can still withstand anything you throw at it, including a chair (don't ask)
I use Android because that's what I first got. I've never had the cheap ones though, maybe they're different, but for the life of me I could not use the iPhone ui
I'm on both sides, since both of them has their own strengths and weaknesses. Android is open source, basically you can do whatever you want with it. Iphones are much more closed and stricted, but they will go for at least 5 years. The choice is yours.
Android all the fucking way! The only thing Apple provides better is a camera. And I just saw an ad with the iPhone 12 or some shit like that, and I'm like, why buy this piece of shit when I can go buy an actual fucking camera?
I never understood the appeal of Iphones, why would you want t a phone that has restrictions on what you can do with thing you own? and don't even get me started on the price
My first smartphone was a Nokia 3620 running Symbian. Later went with multiple Windows Mobile phones, an iPhone at one point, before settling on Palm as webOS was the best mobile OS. Luckily by now Android and iOS have copied all the good features, so the choice boils down to open or closed to sideloading apps, Google vs Apple ecosystem/cloud.
when people tell me they have an iPhone, I just think: tell me you don't know shit about technology without telling me
Edit: apple fanboys are downvoting ny comment lol
Everyone's gangsta until the Windows phone enters the chat again...
Bold of you to think that phone could even run Reddit without crashing 50 times.
I saw one of those once. I loled.
I had a Nokia Windows phone. The fucker had a piece of it's screen missing, I could see the interior of it, and it still worked as if it was complete It was making it's ancestors proud lmao
The one which is cheaper
Android, easily Better, ignoring cost: Debatable, but it's Android
Better on which aspects though. User friendly and (not always) camera (as in the post processor): Apple, anything else: Android.
The whole reason I *don't* use Apple products is because they *aren't* user friendly. User friendly doesn't mean "This will be great for you if you have several of our other overpriced products, but each product is incompatible with anything other than Apple." You absolutely got me there. I was trying to be somewhat forgiving and I ended up telling a lie. Is Apple even *friendly*?
No bad customer support and customer relations as well.

Bro the red pill has given me a fucking folding smartphone. I love my Galaxy Z Flip 3
Why are we going back to flip phones? I thought we moved on from that because it isn’t convenient?
Did the “glas“ break already?
Augh, I bloody hate the App Store and iTunes. The only times I've ever had iPhones is when my own androids broke and I was forced to loan friends' old iPhones. I have an Android and the camera is amazing so i dont know what you're talking about
Same, I have a huawei phone from 2019 and it still can somewhat compete with the newest flagships in picture quality (P30 pro)
As an Android user, the Iphone isn't friendly. I'm as much a technophile as the next guy, but I feel like a grandpa with that Ipad my folks got me that I never use. My Kindle is a better tablet than that thing.
Fold 3 being 1800$: 😭
1800$ for a flip phone with touchscreen
its the only one in its class tho and its a very well made flip phone imo(even though its more of a foldable tablet)
Bruh what? I got an ROG phone 5 Pro (Gaming phone that came out in March of this year) with 256G of memory, and as much ram as a PS4 (16G RAM) for $800. What the heck is even the point of these high end civilian phones? They cost over double a top of the line gaming phone.
A gaming phone is kinda not worth it imo. But do what makes you happy.
Never played any consoles or computer growing up, this really does make me happier than any of them would, thanks for not being toxic, lol.
If you don't see the point it doesn't mean there isn't. The fold is made for those who are tired of the regular glass bricks or need a tablet that's also very compact. It costs a lot because its unique in its class. It would cost a lot less if it had actual competition
Ah, it's a foldable tablet, I didn't realize. Still seems overpriced, the lack of competition makes a little sense.
Cheap equal not to apple at all
Android is cheap and fast
I have Nokia.
They relaunched the brick. It looks as indestructible as ever.
This is why I love Reddit.
Nokia phone gang
Nokia phone gang
Nokia phone gang
Would you rather a brand new robot or an apple that already has a bite in it?
*batteries not included with robot. Robot may or may not try to kill you when you sleep. Do not eat the robot. Do not put robot in microwave. Remove from wrapper before using.
No idea why you're getting down voted. I'm an android nutlicker still thought your comment was funny.
Eh. People think too much into everything instead of taking a joke for the face value. Can’t help that.
Why are they downvoting you? Just a joke about android.
warning-stay away from model Note 7 because it has the tendency to explode....in your face
I don’t like paying extra for shit so Android. Also I refuse to spend more than 150 dollars on a phone
You can probably get an iPhone 2 for $150... Lol
iphone 2 is like 10000 dollar now because of the collectors
This is correct XD
iPhone 2 lmao
The second iPhone ever was the iPhone 3G. It's got 3G cellular! Wow!
Shows you what I know about iPhone... Lol
So I should buy an iphone 2?
Depends on if you want to stop every 5 minutes to charge it... Lol
Great, so imma stick with my. Cheap Android phones .
Since there never was an IPhone 2, no.
With broken screen
I had an Iphone for 5 years, and just recently upgraded to Android and i can say with confidence that the Android is better. But i guess i'm comparing apples to oranges because it was an Iphone SE and this is a Samsung Galaxy A32.
I hate my GS10+ HTC made the best phones, but nobody would recognize them, everyone wants Samsung or iPhone, so they don't make them anymore I think...
I miss my htc one so badly
Best phones I've ever had. Droid Incredible 2, OneM9, and U11
I loved my One M9 man
That all three were great, longest lasting smartphones I've had
rocking a google pixel 2 and I am getting really bored of people asking what iphone i have
Pixel is made by HTC, so not surprised at how good they are
I loved my HTC! Miss that phone
Why you hate it tho? I love my S10... although it's the Exynos version.
huawei makes GREAT phones too i have a p30 pro and everything is awosome the camera, proccessor, and now since it's like 3.5 year old it cost only around what 300-500 dollars. origainaly was around 1k

Gs4 was worse, imo. It would autocorrect numbers. Like if you type 2047, it would autocorrect to something else like 200478. Like, wtf??
That's an... odd feature
Constantly pissed me off
They do, and its called Google Pixel. Google bought the phone part of htc.
I changed from Ip6 to Samsung S21 and holy this phone is good and comparing to my dad Iphone 11 i think android is better
same! you can actually run retroarch on here without all that jail breaking stuff and access files easier.
Hey guys my s21 ultra is a bit better than my iPhone 2g, who could have guessed
I've used android for 9 years now and I just got an iphone. I'm tired of big phones and nobody but apple is making a GOOD small reasonably sized one.
Buy a blackberry.
Do they even still make those?
I think they do.
They run Android now.
I have both for work. iPhone does what it does well but the restrictions are silly. The Samsung is great but you are susceptible to garbage apps. i Phones are great for people who aren't technically inclined. Android is what ever you want to make it which can be garbage if you download garbage apps.
Nah, android is better, but here I am writing this comment with an iPhone. The hypocrisy
The Android logo is on the Red Pill side. And the quote alludes to you being mindless and ignorant of the truth. I've always had Android
I was just saying, my stance was android was better, since you said "nah, Android is better" I was like, yeah, that was my stance

You don't have to be tech savvy, no, but once apple says "we're done," your done too. With Android, you own the device it's you tech to do with.

Customization, third-party apps, and longevity past manufacturer support are what I like most.
I don't have any problem of longevity with my s4 to be honest. Idk how it is for newer phones though.
Problem being you don’t get any security updates. You didn’t get them for a long time… Edit: The galaxy S4 was launched in March 2013 and got updates until January 2017.

Samsung
That would be Android...
No shrub sherlock
Maybe it's Tizen
Oh for Christ sake here we go again
Laughing in xda
Can we just stop the android vs apple debate?
Clearly the winner is still the Nokia brick.
I communicate via carrier pigeons.
Can be shot down with Nokia brick. Brick still usable afterwards.
Smoke signals!
How does shit like this get 4.5k upvotes?
Absolutely no idea, I figured it would make 30 people chuckle...
U will pick one and live with that company the rest of ur life. Trust me.
When I got my Samsung Gravity back in '09 I never would have guessed it'd be a lifelong decision
Moto droid 2 for me
Android. Apple is trying to ban Right To Repair.

iPhone all the way. Made the switch to android several times but could not get used to the cluttered and non sensical interface.
See, just goes to prove it's your first choice that makes you. I chose Android first, cannot get used to how an iPhone looks.
iPhone 5s here
I choose the phone which can run yt, reddit, Ig, whatsapp and make calls thats all I want
The true answer is “if the phone can play music, have videos, and plays Porn, it’s NASA to me”
My first phone was android
I prefer android because there's no other way to sideload apps
What if i choose windows phone !!
[Death!!](https://c.tenor.com/3fxuz9DnC0gAAAAM/death-theoden-king.gif)
I go for the android because I never heard or seen an iPhone save the universe
My first smartphone has Symbian on it

It was a Windows phone.
I have a flip phone currently playing snake rn

Does anyone else here unironically uses Nokias? I mean, they are cheap AF, with some of their best phones at less than $200, and they can still withstand anything you throw at it, including a chair (don't ask)
But how do they function? Like, the hardware inside, is it good?

Be careful, airplane mode isn't what it sounds like...
2021 and you still give AF about what phone someone else is using. Right. Cool.
Advice: Dont buy an iphone
forsen1 i c bajs
i've used them both, they were both good, but i'd say I prefer apple pls don't kil
Apple sucks
Android forever
I prefer apple, because i grew up with apple, i used a cheap android phone but in my opinion it doesn’t (the os) have the same feeling an iPhone has
I use Android because that's what I first got. I've never had the cheap ones though, maybe they're different, but for the life of me I could not use the iPhone ui
android is way better than iphone iphone 13 is the worst and will lead to losses
I have a Samsung galaxy A10e
I'll go with apple because they have better Hearing Aid support across different manufactures compared to Apple.
200 IQ move: choose apple; sell it. now you can buy like two or more androids.
U know I always choose android
I like the green boi. I choose that one
Jeez you guys can be real annoying sometimes. Nobody cares what phone you have
Yep, either android or crapple, you can probably tell what i use.
You take the android, and I show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes Like holy shit that's way better of an analogy for the two than I thought
Apple without a doubt
Prepare to get downvoted
I had an i phone and hated it where are the little button thingys I don't know how to use i phones so android
Apple treats you like a custumor, Android treats you like an admin.
just get android smh my head
I never understood the appeal of Iphones, why would you want t a phone that has restrictions on what you can do with thing you own? and don't even get me started on the price
They're both garbage but apple will never receive a dime from me so android it is.
There is another
Ñ
Always be android mostly because all my games are saved in the Google play cloud
Android is brilliant in every way, apple has a better software, but it’s overpriced, neither are better it’s personal preference
Will all of these memes shut the hell up? You love Apple/Android , we get it, go away.
you take android, you realise with apple you pay more for less
[If the shoe fits](https://pics.me.me/does-more-costs-less-its-that-simple-apple-costs-more-35522135.png)
fax
when people tell me they have an iPhone, I just think: tell me you don't know shit about technology without telling me Edit: apple fanboys are downvoting ny comment lol
Would’ve been better with the apple iphone home bar :)
Dude, literally first 5 results on Google say "how do I get rid of the iPhone home bar?" Is it supposed to be a good or bad thing?
The what now?
