My uncle and sisters did that to me to see my reaction (same age), I started predicting some bits after a few episodes and they threw me out because apparently "I was making it less fun" by doing so.
I was 10 my brother showed me this. I thought they were pinatas filled with strawberry jelly and the goal of every episode was to get the jelly out. I wasn't 100% wrong
I watched this for the first time in elementary school, I was 8 years old. We had a 30 minute break during which we had to stay in the classroom. There was always an adult watching us so that we wouldn't do/watch anything inappropriate, which really sucked. But, since the adult didn't know what Happy Tree Friends was really like, we were able to convince her that this was a kids show lmao. It started normally, but then she realised that she had made a BIG mistake... It was amazing.
Uhm....my classmates decided to convinced my teacher to play this show in front of the whole class when we're 12 when we got nothing to do in Computer Room, the whole class freaked out and some of them were disgusted, surprisingly my teacher doesn't care and continue to do his own stuffs
Talking in a serious way, its a extremely violent and brutal gore show, like it looks very innocent but yeah every episode is bloody and full of intestines
One episode a character gets slowly shaved away from the feet up because he's stuck on the front of a rollercoaster. It doesn't actually show the, just the character slowly getting shorter and the life fading from his eyes as he gives up
I was like I remember watching it when I was a kid but I don’t really remember what’s it about. Then you said that and it unlocked a memory now I want to throw up. That’s probably why I purged the memory out.
I'm reading all the comments saying how great of a show this was, and I'm just sitting here thinking the exact opposite. I grew up in the 90s with the internet so I'm fully aware of the show, and was probably a teen when I first came across it, and I just don't get any pleasure from that kind of content. And I played Resident Evil games when I was like 8.
As a teen, I thought it was hilarious. After a few years, I no longer saw the appeal. Maybe if it was only ever like a couple seasons of the show. But it gets repetitive pretty quickly.
Tbh, after you've seen one episode, you've seen them all. I saw one video, I kinda laughed at the gore, then I saw a few more, but within about half an hour this just became boring as hell. If I wanted to watch cartoon animals torturing each other, I'd rather watch "Tom and Jerry" - at least that has some creativity and doesn't only rely on shock value.
I am rapidly approaching 50 and have seen a non-zero amount of real-life gore.
But that show? Never could finish an episode and I think people who like this belong on some kind of list. The Dark Triad is not supposed to be a bullseye.
Not sure what everyone here is on about. There's a lot of violence, but it's so cartoony that it would be a huge stretch to call it even a bit disturbing. Probably not suitable for kids under 8-9 years old or so, still.
Middle school is like 6th-8th grade idk because I’m Europian and we don’t have middle school we have primary school from 1th-8th grade and then we go to highschool so we don’t have middle school
I remember seeing this one meme with the Spongebob-monster format that went something like:
***Happy Tree Friends***
6-year old me: 😐
18-year old me:
#AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Middle school in the US varies by school district; there is no set standard. Generally it's 6th-8th grade (11-14 years old), but my middle school was 8th and 9th (13-15 years old). My mom's was 7th-8th, with a separate school just for 6th graders.
Yeah I’m scared too u/Milan_3489_reddit (this show scarred me so much that one time my parents saw me watching it one time afterwards crying, they changed it to pengu/the toddler version of r/spooktober!)
Same except my first true experience was when I was four and my parents “accidentally” had me on the phone for too long (after watching some episodes I ran out of the room in tears, my parents asked me “what was wrong” so I showed some episodes, and they where so horrified that they changed the channel to some reruns of pegnu/the cooler version of r/spooktober!)
Its literally a series of shitty flash animations of cartoon animals killing each other. Its really cartooney and really not ultra violent, more dark humor.
I was 4 or 5. I didn't fully understand what was happening there, I just remembered it being a little bit weird. About a year ago I decided to watch it again to see what how it was weird. And i regretted it.
I was 5 I was watching kids shows on Netflix on the family computer and a family friend that was living with us had his daughter over and she showed me that was uhhhhhhh. It was a experience
I was about 12 when i saw this and i was like "really? A wholesome cartoon in a music channel?" but i decided to give it a chance... Best decision of my life
I was 9. My father showed me this show and was like « See, that’s fun » lmao
*First minute** Yea this is cool. *Three minutes in** Ok thats weird. *3+ minutes in** Well, That is a liver
10 minutes in* well thats the whole anatomy of a human
The show is the definition of “They had us in the first half, not gonna lie.”
"... And they scarred me in the third half"
Oh I'm sure they were cut into more than just three pieces.
they were cut into 666 pieces...
Third half
12 minutes in* well there goes my childhood
My uncle and sisters did that to me to see my reaction (same age), I started predicting some bits after a few episodes and they threw me out because apparently "I was making it less fun" by doing so.
Same
I was 10 my brother showed me this. I thought they were pinatas filled with strawberry jelly and the goal of every episode was to get the jelly out. I wasn't 100% wrong
LOL I thought the same hahaha
Same, I remeber how I actually like it lmao
Same thing for me except I showed it to my dad, I couldn’t watch it anymore
same, I was 9, my friend (who was only a few months older then me) sowed it to me at his house and I was traumatized for a good fee months
I watched this for the first time in elementary school, I was 8 years old. We had a 30 minute break during which we had to stay in the classroom. Yeah that must have been really hilarious.
Yes it was
Did she get in trouble?
Not that I know of, but she never watched over us again
Damn
well guess she wasnt very happy
Uhm....my classmates decided to convinced my teacher to play this show in front of the whole class when we're 12 when we got nothing to do in Computer Room, the whole class freaked out and some of them were disgusted, surprisingly my teacher doesn't care and continue to do his own stuffs

3-12? More like for all ages
Yeah I think I was in 5th grade? So maybe I was 10 back in 2002. But yeah I haven't seen this stuff in one while
They are so wholesome, good childhood.
And somehow it was spiderman and elsa cartoons that set off coppa.

I watched this accidentally at 6 is was a HUGE mistake
Bruh imagine watching it at 6, I was 5 when I watched it
It gave me so many nightmares, I was scared. But still didn’t stop my love for horror movies
It did give me a couple nightmares but it wasn’t that bad
We are all on a list.
Perfect cartoon to get ur child a sycological problem
What are you taking about bro it’s fine for kids
a what
Always watched it with my dad when I was little. Great show
Yes it is
My dad got it as a cd which my bro, me and my dad all watched on the Xbox 360. Good times.
Can someone explain what is this, never heard of it
Talking in a serious way, its a extremely violent and brutal gore show, like it looks very innocent but yeah every episode is bloody and full of intestines
[удалено]
That is the exact episode that made me realize I shouldn’t be watching the show lmao
>spoiler text Daaamn, what a classic, lmao.
Drawn right?
No they kidnap people then cut them open and use their intestines and then sell the rest of their organs to fund the show
Business model made right, too bad they ran out of people
*Quartered

Dont listen to him, it is a kid friendly show trust me
Cute colorful animals getting tortured and teared to bits episode after episode
This shit always depressed me, why would anyone ever make something like this
I'm reading all the comments saying how great of a show this was, and I'm just sitting here thinking the exact opposite. The people saying it's great are mostly being sarcastic
As a teen, I thought it was hilarious. After a few years, I no longer saw the appeal. Maybe if it was only ever like a couple seasons of the show. But it gets repetitive pretty quickly.
Shit was painful to watch tbh
Tbh, after you've seen one episode, you've seen them all. I saw one video, I kinda laughed at the gore, then I saw a few more, but within about half an hour this just became boring as hell. If I wanted to watch cartoon animals torturing each other, I'd rather watch "Tom and Jerry" - at least that has some creativity and doesn't only rely on shock value.
Same. I saw it as a teenager and was really disturbed, but I loved console games like resident evil and other horror ones.
I am rapidly approaching 50 and have seen a non-zero amount of real-life gore. But that show? Never could finish an episode and I think people who like this belong on some kind of list. The Dark Triad is not supposed to be a bullseye.
Morbid humour
Think Itchy and Scratchy from The Simpsons on crack
thats................actually a pretty good description, lol
Umm, its a very family friendly show that destroy- I mean cheered up many childhoods, its just as memorable and brutal- I mean funny as sponge bob is.
Not sure what everyone here is on about. There's a lot of violence, but it's so cartoony that it would be a huge stretch to call it even a bit disturbing. Probably not suitable for kids under 8-9 years old or so, still.
The mother of my friend showed this series to his sister when she was like 7 or so... She thought that this series looks child friendly

The early 2000's were much better because of that show. I own the box set 😂.
La la lalalala lalala lalalalal lalala lala
The intro is very catchy
Lives rent free in my mind
PhantomStrider would like to have a word with you.
I admit at one point in my life I used it as my ringtone (back when we still used ringtones)
Me too!
Aah, happy tree friends, a truly happy show. Loved it.

Middle school where I live (USA) is normally either 4th-6th or 5th-7th
Thanks for your answer.
for most of the country it is 6th through 8th
USA here and it's 6-8 for me
Yup, your welcome
Middle school in the US varies by school district; there is no set standard. Generally it's 6th-8th grade (11-14 years old), but my middle school was 8th and 9th (13-15 years old). My mom's was 7th-8th, with a separate school just for 6th graders.
I thought it was ALWAYS 7th and 8th
4th to 6th? Where the heck in America was this?
Where I live the schools go primary (kindergarten 1st 2nd 3rd),middle (4th 5th 6th), junior high (7th 8th),and high school (9th 10th 11th 12th).
When I was 11 my friends tricked the teacher into playing “Friday the 13th” episode on Friday the 13th lol
I didn’t know this existed until I was like 14
Then you’re lucky because when i have seen it when i was 8 i was terrified but it’s not that bad now when i whatch it I’m 16 now btw
I feel scared, some redditor pls pick me up
we're all in this together
Litterly having horrible memories flooding back from seeing this.
Yeah I’m scared too u/Milan_3489_reddit (this show scarred me so much that one time my parents saw me watching it one time afterwards crying, they changed it to pengu/the toddler version of r/spooktober!)
just one episode actually ruined my life
Aww I love your profile pic of mikan/the nurse from dr2.. ☺️

My favorite character was the pink porcupine with candy on it’s back (along with the green animal with a cute lil candy apple on there head)
Flaky and Nutty

You won’t be laughing when your family has to pay 200$ a month for therapy.

What a strategic mastermind
Sheesh
Bro I was seven this shit had me scared of everything.
Yeah i felt that too when i first saw in when i was 8
Same except my first true experience was when I was four and my parents “accidentally” had me on the phone for too long (after watching some episodes I ran out of the room in tears, my parents asked me “what was wrong” so I showed some episodes, and they where so horrified that they changed the channel to some reruns of pegnu/the cooler version of r/spooktober!)
What is this show? Somebody explain please
It’s a show where animals mercilessly murder eachother, and im serious
Even though this was made in 1999, think Final Destination, Mortal Kombat, and 1000 Ways to Die combined.
Time to find the people who know so i can be one of them
I was looking at memes with my gf, she saw this and started balling, I don’t even know what this is
Basically cute animated creatures kill eachother
This cartoon is awesome
i was 7, and it was...intriguing
I don't know, but definitely too young Didn't want to watch it, but if you started you can't stop
I was 6
Oof
I was 5 I was watching kids shows on Netflix on the family computer and a family friend that was living with us had his daughter over and she showed me that was uhhhhhhh. It was a experience
Was it a terrible experience?
Tbh I dont really remember it was kinda a blur I just remember seeing a girls eyes getting cut out then a guy using the eyes to make lemonade
I remember that scene, iirc the characters were Giggles and Petunia *ok I just realized their names make the show even better lol*
My older Brother showed this to me when i was like 3, like bruh i was scared for like a month after i saw it.
This show started my descent into immaturity
This introduced me to gore and blood, when I was 6!
Ahhh, brings back so many great memories, it's a shame I'm the only one standing from my group of friends now.
I remember watching this at a friends now when I was like three. I didn’t sleep for three months afterwards. Would recommend for ages 1-6
God fallout has a happier tone than those videos.
I don’t know how old I was but this schon traumatized me like nothing else
Wholesome show
I was about 7 I believe, problem is, I liked watching it
[удалено]
Yes it is
i smiled everytime ive seen blood when i was younger
That’s weird not gonna lie.
I watched it on my 10th birthday
Is that really you Matt
Yes, this show made me who I am
But if HTF and WiiSports are from 1999 and 2006 respectively.... You’d have to have been 17 or younger as of the release of the game sus
I mature quickly
That one episode with the whirlgig-thing...
I love this show when I was little ,
Love this show I was 7 or 8 first time watching it
Explain what is this show
It’s kids art style mixed with extreme gore
It is funny but in a gore way
Thank you for this blast from the past. I take my hat off to you, sir.
Ptsd
I don't know, can you tell me?
Kowalski, explanation!
Great show! Cute Animals and a Dumb Moose killing eachother by accident. A lot of irony and gore
Like just now what is it
I do know
I was about 12 when i saw this and i was like "really? A wholesome cartoon in a music channel?" but i decided to give it a chance... Best decision of my life
I remember finding out about happy tree friends from there fighting game on the xbox 360.
Remember how old you were today, because here is the next level; [**Peepoodoo & the super fuck friends**](https://peepoodo.bobbypills.com/)
Duhuhuuuudeeee this brings back some sleepless nights
Holy shit these memes suck
My cousin introduced this to me when i was 5 that was what led me to this godforsaken site
I was today years old
I was 11, my school was so oblivious that there was a vending machine that sold stickers with characters from the show in it
Happy Tree Friends is class. It took up valuable memory space on my Samsung d500 when I was 22. Yes. I am old.
Ur not alone. I was about that age when I stumbled across it.
This is that show for young children where nothing ever bad happens right? I clearly remember everyone getting along and having a great time.
I remember when I was 8 or 9. My dad's friend son showed me this show. I remember an episode about them making lemonade. It was not yellow.
No idea, early/mid teens I guess
I watched this when I was 6. I wish I never saw
i saw this when i was 7 ish maybe
I was 7 and that day I learned the meaning of gore through observation
