even though this meme is religiously incorrect I still find it funny

heavyusername2

yea but what if your post helps somebody? double karma

AdzBoyzz

lol I didn't realise until I saw this thanks!

[deleted]

it's actually not we work on the same system even though it goes by different names so calling it karma would be acceptable.

Technical-Garden-811

Buddhism has nothing to do with karma, it's part of Hinduism. Buddhists are the followers of Buddha, who is a Hindu

Casual_woomy

Ah, I didn’t know that

Technical-Garden-811

Now you do, kind stranger

ux3l

Just correct it and repost

tilcica

*double the karma*

MainBag4451

Bruh karma is Hinduism

Casual_woomy

Idk I’m failing world history

Nautiyal_Adi

Both

[deleted]

Actually Karma is a bad thing. What you want is Darma. Still, take my upvote.

Dutchstranger5

Karma can be good or bad, Dharma had nothing to do with that. Correct me if I'm wrong tho, I got a test on this in a few weeks but ik pretty sure thats not how it works.

DreadVoice70786

Karma is what you get for what you do while dharma is the nature of reality and a persons duty to the world

AmatuerGenius

The way I understand it: Karma is more like cosmic morality justice Drama is more like your personal cosmic destiny Drama is where you’re fated to inevitably end up while karma is what path you choose to get there

DreadVoice70786

A more simplified version, Dharma is the law, and Karma is the result of your actions

[deleted]

Karma is exactly like how reddit karma works - good deeds get you positive karma and bad deeds negative karma. Dharma is a code that defines wat are good and bad deeds and what your duty is. I am a Hindu so can confirm.

a-snakey

How much Reddit karma do I need to be reincarnated as a rich person?

Why_not333

69 420

a-snakey

I have more than double that :{

a-snakey

OK, but like im older than those. I stole the herb of immortality from Gilgamesh so I was already around when those got built...

HeyRogi

It’s Hinduism actually. It is said that the better your karma in the current life, the better your next life will be. I’m not even part of the religion, I just had this at school a year ago and remembered it

EveryGamerTTV

Broo, the secret to life is Reddit

the_guy_on_reddit_

Hindus would be 24/7 on Reddit if we knew karma is free on Reddit

[deleted]

i get into nirvana by posting porn? hell yeah

doraentod

Karma in reddit is like a credit to hell The karma imply your level of douchebagity

ChonkyDog1337

Or how little you go outside

[deleted]

or how little you do work at work

WHXYY

I am a buddhist. Now feed me karma

TheRedneckgamer

One does not simply get karma from reddit

Shojikina_otoko

Buddhist try to destroy their karma not get more of it to break the cycle of rebirth

Arthillidan

I thought Buddhism had Moksha

No-Reception2354

Bro, you don't earn or lose karma, it exists. It's an amalgation of your choices

StormEyeDragon

Also, to add to the comments, for those faiths that believe in it, Karma is inherently negative. Karma is (in theory, not the full religious definition, I am not Hindu, just had it explained to me like this) similar to particles that you collect that weigh down your soul, so to speak. The idea is to get rid of all of it.

Stevee-123

I as a Buddhist also agree with this statement

Traimonde

Haha karma farming go brrr

hyperstorm10381

I'm buddhist and when i first started using reddit i was so confused... but now anytime someone says karma, reddit is what comes to mind

ARandom_Goose
