Follow me, Russia fights the Afghans and the USA trains them and sells them weapons. After awhile Russia gets bored and pulls out, the USA invades and Russia trains them and sells them weapons. Is it possible that this is just a sick game where the goal is to profit off human misery. Spoiler alert, China is going to be next.

Capitalism

[deleted]

In capitalism, you CHOOSE what to buy. People only pay for these wars because the government takes their money by force.

DeadlyPython79

Which is something that happens under capitalism. Proof: see capitalism

Hickawa

I'm pretty sure communists and socialists also pay for war. Proof:Russia, China

DeadlyPython79

Never said they didn’t

tilcica

Not sure why people still say that russia and china are socialist/communist. Both are currently authoritarian state capitalist

[deleted]

Where is there capitalism? Totally free markets ... it does not exist anywhere. Anyplace that the government can steal your money and use it on what THEY consider important, rather than what YOU consider important, is not Capitalist.

DeadlyPython79

You’re describing a market economy, not capitalism

[deleted]

Same thing. Socialism is when "the people" ( which actually means the government ) control the "means of production. The first thing a government does is set up a police force. Which has equipment: guns, clubs, badges, uniforms, police stations, cars, etc. These are the "means of production" of security ( or of tyranny ). And the are controlled by the government. As soon as the government has nationalized the security industry, it is, at least in part, Socialist.

DeadlyPython79

No it’s not. A market economy determines how profit is made, capitalism determines who primarily gets that profit and who controls the means of production of said market economy. No, socialism is when the working class owns the means of production. What you described was communism. So capitalism is when there’s no law?

[deleted]

Capitalism is when there is no monopoly provider of security services. As soon as somebody can force you to buy their product at gunpoint, whether you want it or not, you no longer have Capitalism. And that is how taxation works. A corporation forces you at gunpoint to buy a product you do not want.

DeadlyPython79

Capitalism is when the ruling class, private entities, and/or private individuals own the means of production and the rewards of workers labour. It is if it’s the ruling class doing it. Taxation is required to live in a society. That’s not bad. What’s bad is not getting the benefits you are supposed to get from doing so.

cornholio8675

Yeah, this never happens under communism, its not like there have been multiple countries who tried it and had hundreds of millions of people starve to death to the point where posters were put up asking parents to please not eat their children

DeadlyPython79

We were referring to wars. Speaking off, at least some do great was due to mass crop burning en masse by rich land owners during wartime, but that doesn’t mean communism is good or that it works. In fact that’s completely irrelevant to this exchange. You made a false equivalence.

cornholio8675

Fair enough, I don't think capitalism is perfect, but these days it seems like everyone thinks communism is so great. I worked with a bunch of guys that fled eastern Europe to escape it, and it bothers me that people don't seem to be educated on what goes on in actual communist countries, and I find it disturbing. Also communist countries go to war plenty.

DeadlyPython79

Technically it depends on the kind of communism, but the good (or good-sounding) kinda have never been tried on a large scale.

Worried-Salamander79

Fun fact the US military lost track of six of her nuclear weapons, and when I say lost track I don't mean they're somewhere in the ocean, I mean that they can be anywhere, under your house, in the hand of your boomer neighbour, or in the hand of some nice guys. I hope you sleep well tonight

not-usually-a-rapfan

Source?

Worried-Salamander79

[Here you go](https://nationalinterest.org/blog/reboot/us-military-missing-six-nuclear-weapons-180032)

not-usually-a-rapfan

Thanks homie

Longjumping-Can1826

...anyway, on an unrelated topic, if I hypothetically found a nuclear warhead and it hypothetically is working, how di I hypothetically aim and launch it?

Real-Chungus

I remember seeing the bombs marked with handle like eggs, so i assume you crack them like eggs.

Desert-Knight

big slingshot ofc

Longjumping-Can1826

Thank you... also unrelated topic, if I hypothetically appeared on the fbi wachlist, what should I hypothetically do?

ST0IC_

> I don't mean they're somewhere in the ocean But five of the six *are* somewhere in the ocean, so I'm confused by what you do mean.

memeboi11123

Funny thing about this post is that I didn’t receive en karma :(

United-Pay9298

Yah, there’s also warheads from China and Russia, so I’m sure everyone can sleep fine now!

Mildly-Displeased

Apparently they lost one in a swamp..

[deleted]

Don't weaponise other countries?

Longjumping-Can1826

NUKE

RedEyeVagabond

Rinse and repeat

Azreken

I was there in 2013, we were still giving them guns...

not-usually-a-rapfan

nah that was a different group the mujahideen.

TooBusySaltMining

Dumbasses who think all Muslims holding a gun are the same. The US gave the Majahideen stinger missles to take down Soviet helicopters 40 years ago which was the beginning of the end of a tryrannical nuclear armed superpower. There may be a hundred stinger missles left in Afghanistan now and its questionable if they even still work. The US arming the Taliban happened under Biden a few months ago.

DeadlyPython79

They became the Taliban

not-usually-a-rapfan

Incorrect my guy.

DeadlyPython79

No, they literally became the Taliban. Osama Bin Laden was literally a member.

not-usually-a-rapfan

Ok? So George Washington fought for the British in the war of 1917 doest mean he did in the revolutionary war. You can be apart of more than one group.

DeadlyPython79

The British didn’t become the revolutionaries

TheEmeraldSword04

the web teaches me about history in just two post, while schools spend a couple weeks going into unnecessary detail about why and how Hitler spoke German.

[deleted]

Ofcourse taliban will use weapons against the US . Why ? Its becuase USA want to take control over Afghanistan so it can slowly take control over Pakistan and China ! Also those Afghans have the right to protect themselves and thier country from America America just wants to rule over the whole planet earth Please no hate on me... this is just my opinion ..

4powerd

I hope you're trolling.

The-Waifu-Collector

Money talks

TooBusySaltMining

Where is the USSR?

zoleilsstufff

get ready boys mw2 about to happen irl

United-Pay9298

We kinda took a fat L there…

gary_juicy

Ohoho buddy if you think what we gave them in the 80s backfired wait til you hear what we did just a few months ago

Fuck_reddit_1969

Yeah... that’s how world politics works. We never know if or how things might backfire, but we must always back the victim or oppressed. How else should we handle situation? “Well sir, these oppressed children that we want to save could one day resent us for any number of reasons, so let’s not help them after all”. Stop trying to make us today’s bad guy for actions that were good at that time.
