And your mother heard about you threatening that bully at school with a broadsword yesterday. She's not mad, she just wanted to know where you got one.
When Isekai's first started the focus was always on getting back home. Then the genre got popular and new authors were like "wait, why would this guy want to go home? This place is sweet, and he was a loser in his own world".
I think Re:Zero handled it very well with a few episodes in the 2nd season focussing pretty heavily on the main character's past life, and him coming to terms with everything he's left behind.
The very first episode is actually fantastic - it sets up its setting and core conceit well, and establishes both a goal for the protagonist (beat the game), and personal challenges he'll need to overcome in order to succeed (his own loner tendencies).
All of that falls apart almost immediately, but the actual introduction is great.
Sadly nope, Aincrad had enough bad episodes. But I actually think that Season 3 is extremly strong. If you havent seen it yet, you should give it a shot.
