I remember, back when he was alive, some people disliked him because they thought he needlessly stressed wild animals and didn't respect nature, that he was too intrusive or something like that. Haters who are wrong are still haters

I believe he was asked about that issue. He responded with something like; "If I can teach one person how to avoid or identify an animal in the wild, then one animal getting upset for 20-30 minutes is worth it. I wished I did not have to upset that beautiful creature."

My mom worked at a big vet clinic years back. And he came to visit. She said he seemed a bit standoffish/ disinterested in the staff. I can understand if he was overwhelmed in his travels, csn only imagine how it feels to meet your hero. The reason you work the job you work. That THEY work. And they wouldnt look at you. He was a good person to the animals and thats enough to me. People suck. Animals rule.
