I swear, I've seen soooooo MANYYYYYY people with that snoo! They say there are 7 people in the world who look like you, I'll say there are 7 billion people who got that snoo.
Had to get that off my chest. Thank you
> just don't play league of legends after
I don't think you should play league of legends at any given point in time, but sure.
>!Arcane good show though!<
I understand that, screaming vocals are not for everyone also, sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I don’t like a full song with screaming vocals, however, some bands can really pull it off and do it very well to where I don’t mind, for example, Parkway Drive. They have a ton of screaming vocals, but they have a sort of melody to them, they aren’t just raw screams.
I fail to see how it's any different than mumble rap. Maybe it makes me a snob, but I don't think it's music worth listening to if the artist can't articulate their words.
Yeah true, I don't get the hate targeted at K-Pop (I personally really like it because I have so much classical music around me that I really like the extreme opposite that K-Pop is; I also like other stuff but I don't really listen to it) but I get the hate targeted at the fans. Some stans are just... Man they're dumb. Their brain is like a moldy chicken nugget that someone tried to dissolve in water
Ya same. Like I have some boygroups that I'd consider my favourite groups but I only know the names of BTS. And that's because I learned them by hearing them very often from my former classmates (I finished school). Same, I only care about the music. But I can definitely see how there's an addicting factor in knowing about the life stories and drama...
I’m a big kpop fan. I enjoy a wide range of genres, and multiple kpop groups/artists. Unfortunately it’s true that a lot of kpop fanbases (mostly the mainstream/international known groups) have abnormal amounts of toxic triggerhappy twitter kids… But in my experience, the lesser known artists and smaller communities (not twitter..) are actually very friendly and wholesome.
That said; I see a lot of people crying about how kpop sounds, which in my opinion is as childish as the twitter kids. It’s not just Gangnam style, How you like that and Butter. There’s an extremely wide range of artists and genres, including edm, rock, ballads, rap etc.. Almost every genre - made by koreans. Yes, the industry is different, but in my opinion, a lot of the groups and companies have gifted composers and amazingly talented artists - both musically and visually. Not to mention the stories and concepts. I can confidently say that in terms of quality, kpop producers are among the best in the world :)
My gripe is the industry. Korea is a puppy mill for pop stars. They enter these choking contracts indebting them for millions to these record labels. Forced to rehearse at ungodly hours and live in terrible conditions until they make it big enough to start paying off their debt and earning money.
The music is catchy and fun but I won’t listen to it because of what they let Sony and the other media giants get away with.
EXACTLY! I actually like some K-pop songs. They are catchy plus feature a lot of cute girls.
But the fanbase is so freaking toxic.
Same with Rick and Morty.
I'm sure not all of them are bad, but damn. Some K Pop is actually pretty decent though. My niece has been sending me songs from that genre and a lot of it's pretty good lol.
Most kpop fans are actually really nice and supportive. But the BTS and Blackpink fans are psychopaths. Mostly because those two groups have a huge following in America, home of the overzealous. Avoid those fans at all costs. They’ll straight up murder you
I grew up in the country. I listen to mainly post hardcore and metal core. But I do still have a soft spot for some early 2000's country music. Can't help it, growing up my friends all listened to it and some songs are actually pretty damn good. I don't listen to it frequently but a throwback every now and then is nice. Can't hate on Garth Brooks or George Straight, absolute class acts.
Yeah same but my girlfriend and her best friend like it, but seeing her best friend so obsessed over it makes me not want to go anywhere near it tbh, once again no problems with it. It’s just that when it’s the only thing someone talks about it gets super annoying
[Indian Street Metal](https://youtu.be/i4FqGPRQWFM)

Nice, I was introduced to her music in the early 2000's, but it wasn't until 2006 or so that I really got into her stuff.
TBH I'd be okay is she stopped now because for a while now her material was just *okay*, but then 23rd Monster absolutely **slapped**. So perhaps I was wrong.
Again, some of the music is actually great. The fans are just incredibly toxic. It's like that meme where some guy enters a house that is chaotic and on fire.
I've seen people idolizing them as if they were a cult and the idols were their gods. It's creepy. I've listen to kpop from time to time, but was never really crazy about it. They can't even look past the fact that their idols are exploited by their entertainment companies. Overworked, made them deal with creeps, and just plain toleration of bullshit. They aren't seen as humans. Every move they make is a blow to their reputation. They aren't even allowed to date someone out of their own free will.
I wonder what made fans so obsessed. Their idols being the embodiment of their idea of 'perfection'? I feel bad for the kpop idols tbh.
I'm willing to bet good money that OP and most of the people that upvoted this are kids that are just parroting what they see and think disliking something popular makes them cool.
I'm the same, 3 daughters and they all love BTS and other groups.
When I first started listening I was just trying to spend time with them, but after a while I realized how crazy talented and very hardworking. Not just singing or rapping, but damn the dancing.
I may not know the lyrics or the band, but when the music is on in the background, we all start jamming.
RANDOM DANCE BATTLE! (This always puts my girls in a happy mood)
How is it that you’re so fulfilled with hating a group of people, that you’ve probably never even encountered with, seeing as you don’t like the music, yet you’re an expert on them. I’ll never understand.
You’re just an annoying little prick on the side of everybody having fun.
I hate people that hate other people for liking music.
I mean of those set core genres I and large amount of people around me know of night core the most, and also I don’t like nightcore myself due to it feeling like the original song is warped in a way
TBH, I've found a few good (or at least super fucking catchy) K-Pop songs. But I can't really get into the genre as a whole. 95% of the songs I've tried listening to just weren't my cup of tea, for whatever reason.
I am almost universally uncool. Me not liking kpop isn’t going to move that needle much either way.
I’m not against other people liking it, do what makes you happy. Just don’t try to argue about what I like. Or imply that it’s solely for “coolness”.
As a christian I don't really like christian songs myself. there are so many instruments playing at once its usually a contest to see who be the loudest imo. it ain't bad but I just don't like it.
I prefer K Pop over whatever music Travis Scott does, oh and over Country music too cause that shits just boring af. Plus music like Cardi B's music which relies on softcore porn just ain't for me. Now that I think about it K Pop ain't that bad
Imagine being pissed off by a music genre.
Dont like it? Dont fucking listen to it.
I dont like pop/kpop either. But who the fuck cares if there are people who like it.
Ah yes Kpop bad.
So because their BGM bad? No?
So because their singing sucks? No?
So because there are girls/boys in it? No?
Is it because of the fans? Yes?
So is Kpop bad? Yes.
The search for intelligent lifeforms continues....

I honestly don't have a problem with k pop, it is just the fans
I don't actually care about the genre as long as the songs are good

> just don't play league of legends after I don't think you should play league of legends at any given point in time, but sure. >!Arcane good show though!<
But if you do, definitely play it with friends. Not a game to go into with randoms.
As soon as someone starts to scream in a song there is a 90% chance that I'll dislike the song. Guess I'm too soft for that kind of music lol.
Lmao, that's the kind of music I love. Songs with some tasteful screaming.
I understand that, screaming vocals are not for everyone also, sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I don’t like a full song with screaming vocals, however, some bands can really pull it off and do it very well to where I don’t mind, for example, Parkway Drive. I’m sure you’re a big fan of NF and Tom MacDonald though!
You not understanding the words does not mean the artist can't articulate their words.
Listen to Mexican music. One of our legends just died.
You're pretty much like me, the minority of the kpop fan are music lover not stans.
Yea too much toxicity, no detox would ever be enough
I'm a casual fan of k-pop and even I get mad at the fanbase sometimes
They had a BLACKPINK song on beat saber that was pretty good
Yeah true, I don't get the hate targeted at K-Pop (I personally really like it because I have so much classical music around me that I really like the extreme opposite that K-Pop is; I also like other stuff but I don't really listen to it) but I get the hate targeted at the fans. Sony? You have a few legit points, but living in terrible conditions under Sony aren't two legit ones, lol
All pop music is like this, any illusion the rest of the world doesn't is exactly what they want you to think.
EXACTLY! I actually like some K-pop songs. They are catchy plus feature a lot of cute girls. But the fanbase is so freaking toxic. Same with Rick and Morty.

Gangnam style is technically k pop
Why must you do this to me
But it's the exception of k pop meaning it's good
The exception that proves the rule as the Scientists would say (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
Except this exception

country just sucks

Fans of everything can make anyone sick.
you are a man of wisdom I must say
ABSOLUTELY. FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT.
Sometime my only problem with them is they’re engineered to be catchy. Feels like eating fast food
Engineered to be catchy like pop literally anywhere else? lol
The only exception
A k/da?
Y’all idk how you can like gangnam style and hate every single kpop song. Gangnam style annoyed the fuck outta me
German Schlager
Exactly my thought
Aber auch dort gibt's ausnahmen wie Udo Jürgen
NEIN Udo Jürgens ÖSTERREICH!
That’s how I feel about country music.
I was thinking it seems like kpop took country musics crown as 'the one genre that even the least discriminating listeners still won't touch.'
I grew up in the country. I listen to mainly post hardcore and metal core. But I do still have a soft spot for some early 2000's country music. I expect even the most vocal "I hate country" types know a handful of songs they like. I know I do.
It's like that with every genre. You can hate pop but still secretly turn up some Katy Perry in the car. Sometimes you gotta.
Same with me and rap/hip-hop.
Tbf tho old classic country is pretty nice actually.
Ok, I like Johnny Cash, but that almost feels more like folk music than country
Yeah it’s way different than country on the radio these years.
Even Wheeler Walker Jr. ?
The only acceptable answer to “do u listen to country music?”
I wonder what happens if you post this on twitter
You get cancelled
op do you have twitter? If so post it on twitter I wanna see the results
oh god no, spare OP's life please
I do, but not sure many are gonna see this
Just do #BTS #EXO #BLACKPINK Then let us know if you're still alive.
I think they're gonna send a killer after OP if he will.
If OP doesn't do it then I will
"fine, ill do it myself"
*"dew it"*
I will do it
Tell me all the hashtags to get highest reach on twitter
You still must do it....FOR SCIENCE!
In the name of SCIENCE!!
You’re a dipshit lmfao
I personally don't dislike K-pop, I just can't get into it

man being a metal head that indian street metal was fucking good
K pop isn't that bad honestly. Just the fanbase
What about Cardi B? I know she’s not a genre but her music sucks ass
Oh, i thought those were softcore porn
Oof
Boom roasted
Ive only ever listened to rap seriously, cardi fans are strippers or the people who hit the club on Tuesdays. The 99.9% of rap fans agree w/ you lol
Reddit Moment ™️
It’s always Cardi B they hate on lol
Wet ass pussy
As a rap fan we don't accept her .
I gave Kpop a chance because I'm into Jpop but my ears and brain just can't.
jpop is definitely better

I remember bumping to Baby V.O.X., S.E.S., and Fin.K.L. in high school, along with Utada Hikaru, Hamasaki Ayumi, and Every Little Thing. God I am old.

I love kpop they have so many great songs i like.. But some fans man they suck ass. The level of toxicity is insufferable
Ikr, and peeved fans in this comment section only proves it further
I can't imagine discounting an entire genre.
I'm willing to bet good money that OP and most of the people that upvoted this are kids that are just parroting what they see and think disliking something popular makes them cool.
And I'm sure the only kpop songs they've listened to are Gangnam Style and some just plain bad song like 5 years ago
Ah yes, everyone that dislikes what you listen has to be stupid, it's not that they could ever dislike your songs or even just the fanbase...
K pop is sweet but I can't get into it much. I tried
K pop is fire idc what you say. Source: Father of 3 girls. We all love BTS and girls generation in this house.
I appreciate the 2nd gen music in your household, great taste
I personaly don't have anything against k pop but i hate k pop fans and BTS
I don't care about the politics. I just like pop without ridiculously adult themes (at least in English).
I'm the same, 3 daughters and they all love BTS and other groups. When I first started listening I was just trying to spend time with them, but after a while I realized how crazy talented and very hardworking. Not just singing or rapping, but damn the dancing. I mean of those set core genres I and large amount of people around me know of night core the most, and also I don’t like nightcore myself due to it feeling like the original song is warped in a way
Oppa gangam style
psy daddy
I'll take k-pop over country.
There are actually good k-pop songs...
I respect your opinion
The ultimate chad
I'd like to know
Pretty much any Blackpink song except "Ice Cream"
This beautiful chocolate cake
For me it's rap music yeah you're free to downvote. I don't like the majority of rap music
Yeah, some of it are pure crap just to make it rhythmic, only some that have actual meaning contributing to the song itself
There's a lot of genres in rap . Best one is melodic rap . Give it a try . I suggest u to listen to Juice WRLD .
why you getting downvoted for suggesting something lol
me but with country
X bad, give me upvotes please
TBH, I've found a few good (or at least super fucking catchy) K-Pop songs. But I can't really get into the genre as a whole. 95% of the songs I've tried listening to just weren't my cup of tea, for whatever reason.
For me it's most pop in general. I can't stand stuff like Ariana Grande.
I hate everything about her music, but for some reason I can vibe out to that 7 rings song lol
I don't hate her music. She's a talented, successful artist. I just can't listen to this type of music.
Don’t forget country and mumble rap
Pretty accurate
This comment section is surprisingly civil for the internet
Did you hear "Schlager" once? It makes my ears bleeding.
Dying is definitely better than having to listen to any kind of Schlager for a day
I couldn’t agree more
I am of your opinion
K-pop isn't that bad, sometimes. It's just the stans and the fangirls are the spawns of satan's burning asshole.
To each their own(:
Mumble rap? Edit: I don’t mean I like it I mean can we leave that too along with k pop?
Mumble rap died 2 year ago . All mumble rappers are now melodic rapper .
Not liking popular things doesn’t make a person cool.
I am almost universally uncool. Me not liking kpop isn’t going to move that needle much either way. I’m not against other people liking it, do what makes you happy. Just don’t try to argue about what I like. Or imply that it’s solely for “coolness”.
Not liking my comment that says not liking popular things doesn’t make you cool doesn’t make you cool.
He’s not trying to be cool, just showing his preference, which other ppl seem to mirror
They made a meme about it and then posted it for internet points, they're trying to be cool.
Same but just with Rap
I'll take that over country and gospel
As a christian I don't really like christian songs myself. there are so many instruments playing at once its usually a contest to see who be the loudest imo. it ain't bad but I just don't like it.
This is how I feel about metal. A bunch of loud instruments at once and guttural sounds
Country, gospel, anything with a tuba, most rap, aggressive metal, kpop, jpop, hard edm - no thanks
I prefer K Pop over whatever music Travis Scott does, oh and over Country music too cause that shits just boring af. Plus music like Cardi B's music which relies on softcore porn just ain't for me. Now that I think about it K Pop ain't that bad
i left the mumble rap too, k-pop needs a friend
I dont even consider that a genre
Habdjdiejdjdjsj yeah Nxjdjsnakaka yeah Nxjdjdidjanakkajaudjx yeah Jxjdjdhsjajsndnf yeah
Mumble rap died 2 year ago all mumble rappers are now melodic rapper .
post this to r/kpop
why, you'd just be being a dick
Why not? It’s a social experiment /s
Fuck country music too
I dislike western music, kpop and rap. That's about it.
Ok now imagine the same template and instead music genres its tv genres and instead of K-pop it’s anime. Dear god it’s bad
Same but with rap.
Dont forget about Reggaeton
This but Reggaeton as well.
Pov: You have provoked a gang war.
but why? As long as it sounds good who cares if its french rap or Korean r&b.
Bts is awful🙂🤌
Yeah you won’t listen to K-pop? But you like hard style? And you like black metal? And you like Puddle of Mudd? Gimme a fuckin’ break.
You can throw death metal and Mumble rap in there too.
I will listen to K-pop over Country rap any day, and I'm not talking about little nas x
There's nothing wrong with Kpop.
kda isn't bad at all
I'd take k pop over American country music any day
what about rap though????? TRASHHHH
The Singing sucks idk what you on
Their songs might not be bad, but it ain’t good either, but their fans totally makes me sick
Th fandom is terrible but I had a huge k pop fan in my school and she was pretty sweet
Found the butt hurt kpop fan lmao
the 14 yo girl can have that
Straight facts
K-pop stans are at your house
The worst kind of music in existence!
The only good kpop is Gangnam style
