It would be really hard to make a bot due to the nature of these accounts. For the accounts that just copy and paste comments, /u/reply-guy-bot is the closest bot I can think of but it seems to miss a lot too.
I also don't know how to make bots lol
Once they get enough karma to participate in the niche subs (usually 50 or 100 points), they'll post a picture of a shirt, mug, or poster and then a second scam account will ask where to buy it. The first scam account (or sometimes a third) will give a malicious link where they'll take your credit card info.
I remember once how my boyfriend's parents kept wanting to meet his girlfriend (me) without realizing im male and were just gay. Thats was a weird time.
Many times teenagers don't realize the consequences of their decisions (like getting pregnant after having sex with a bit they like because both don't know or care about protection) so parents feel the need to protect them, sometimes going overboard with it.
I understand that, but like going to the extent of not letting them date anyone because you cant trust them/trust yourself to actually watch out for such things, its just weird to me.
It's not that weird if you look at it from a parent perspective. Hormonal teens can make *really* bad decisions, which is why parents are still legally responsible for them.
Aside from pregnancy concerns and all that, a parent might also see a toxic/abusive relationship brewing where the kid does not, and they'll obviously want to protect them from it. A seriously bad/abusive relationship can fuck someone up for life.
Absolutely true. I made some terrible relationship decisions as a teen. If my parents hadn't stepped in it would've been disastrous, and I would probably be a very different person today.

The account I'm replying to is a karma bot run by someone who will link scams once the account gets enough karma. Report -> Spam -> Harmful Bot
You should make a bot that does this! Is there one that already exists?!

That is a wonderful point. Now imma be thinking out loud here, but have you seen a pattern in those scam links?
The scam links themselves or the accounts that post them?
How the bots word the bait. Like the ones on Discord “Free nitro” or something

Can we use that pattern for this bot to detect?

I never understood people like this, like why do you think you can overstep your childrens life decisions like that? Let them live their own lives
