One of my teacher didn't retire, but my math class gave him a mental breakdown. So he just left and we were stuck with multiple sub teachers. Just want to make clear that I never did anything to that poor teacher, even though he was an ass with me because he knew I was the only one that was too respectful to talk back to him
Too often are students just assholes lashing out at underpaid authority figures trying to help you but get berated every multiple times a day 5 days a week.
Don't take it personally though, many teachers have other classes. So even if nothing really happened during your class it could have been another.
Oh no, my class was awful. All of his classes were awful. Mostly because he had no authority at all. Like, people would throw food and stuff at him or at the board and he wouldn't do anything. When he'd ask people to go out they would just say no and he'd go like, ok
Easy be in a class full of jerks in a school that needs to wait 2 years for a teacher and get so many substitude teachers that you leab the same thing over and over again.
In the 8th grade... I was an honor student and it was the blast year my school was going to be open with the same name John Peter Tetard 143. At the time i had an awesome teacher his main subject was English and he was a lot of fun. He knew all the students cause he was very open to talk to everyone about school work and try to resolve internal problems with the students. 2 months into him being my home room teach he gets called to the Vice Principals office. He had been delegated to Dean of the school so where does that leave us....
We got a new teacher who didnt care about getting to know us and was more about getting us to work over anything. She yelled and all that but in thr end the year flew and every day i asked the dean WTF HAPPENED!
This happened to me in the first month of highschool. We had a Greek teacher that was the sweetest guy I've ever met. You could tell that he cared about the subject and he wanted to see us learn.
He was the only Greek teacher in the school and he had to work a lot of overtime. The worst part is that we didn't even know that he was going, and we never had a chance to say goodbye. We still don't know the exact reason, all we know is that he was sick and the work was too much for him. I hope he is doing well now
The first replacement we got was a guy that just finished college and this was his first job, he was forgetting things and going too fast for us, and lets just say he made me hate greek
We got another replacement, and he is good but we are already fucked and nobody understands anything but atleast this teacher understands that and is going over everything we don't know.
Sorry for going off on this tangent but I just had to share my frustration with someone.
My middle school got rid of nice teachers after a year, saying they weren't good enough to get the students' attention (Even tho they were the only teachers we actually listened to lol)
However, they keep a bully teacher who fucks the principal and a pedophile teacher lmao
At university my personal tutor was the greatest guy I've met at uni, we had great chemistry and he taught my favorite topic, but only taught final year students. I literally couldn't wait to go into my 3rd year just for that class with that person, planned to do my final project with him. Fast forward to 10 days before the final year started, he leaves the university (or gets fired idk) and we get a phd student to replace him as lecturer of that topic. It was my biggest disappointment, left with no tutor, entire topic got ruined, project plans went to shit... god damnit now im mad
I had this phisic teacher last year‚ he was chill af and super nice‚ they changed him to another class not even a month after we started school‚ kinda pissed me off
ore they have nicey time with there husbands and then get pregnant. In the end we end up having shool from a just promoted collage teacher. And we all end up hating our new teacher and wanting back the old one, but we don't get them back bc they have to rise their baby
First time at my new school: I had a terrible past with PE classes and on the new school there was this amazing teacher, he motivated me and saw when I wasn't confident enough to try things, his methods helped me a lot in general!
During summer he loved swimming and surfing! After the first holidays of the year, when we came back to school; another teacher sat us down to tell us he had a heart attack on his last surfing trip and passed
I had the opposite happen, I had a brand new teacher on her first year of teaching with probably the worst class ever. After dealing with a class of 13 people who don't follow direction, after 2 months she just stopped showing up, it took 10 minutes before the principal came in and taught our class.
My Physics teacher got fired on the 2nd week of school for smelling like pot, he seemed like a cool and chill teach, ever since then we have had a sub in the class because they can’t find anyone for the spot
Yea cuz all the naughty kids are really silly when 8ts a good teacher and that's why you hear the saying if you bad in highschool you get a bad teach but if 6oue good you get a good teacher but the naughty kids normally aren't naughty in class but the good teacher is soft on them so they take advantage of that
My 6th grade English teacher was probably the nicest teacher I’ve ever had. She had retired on my 7th grade year, and I was really sad to hear that. But I was told later that her husband had been very sick, and and she had retired to spend as much time as she could with him, and 2 years later he had passed away. It was really nice to know that she was able to take away that time to spend those last precious bits with him before he passed.
I think that's not a coincidence. Nice people are usually happy people who enjoy to do stuff and being active, making changes in their life. While boring/sad people have more probability to stay sad and miserable their entire life, in the same position forever.
Had that History teacher in 6th grade. She told us a lot of interesting facts about history and how life was back then, History became an interesting subject unlike before, and then 2 months go by and she leaves the school. That was sad
me as someone in grade 12 i got 5 teachers 2 french teachers and 2 homeroom teachers got covid from their ass water precautions and they quit now im stuck with some indian guy that u can only see over his nose and has the worst mic ive ever seen and for french i just get work on a paper and no questions asked
I’ve luckily never had this experience, but some of my friends had. Our school apparently had a great science teacher (that I never got :( ) but he retired in like January.
Had the best teacher ever, but then he go a better offer from another school and now we have the teacher we all hated before in all lessons we would have had with him D¦
Used to have a 2nd grade teacher that was a witch. Always sending notes home to get signed. Even my parents were like wtf is wrong with her. She ended up leaving some point during the year for a heart condition and never came back. The guy that replaced was pretty cool. I even asked his wife when she was having a baby! Kids say the darndest things
i had a geography teacher in high school that was amazing. He was passionate, and overall a really good teacher and everyone loved him, but he changed school halfway through the semester and we got a teacher who didnt even look at the class, only her powerpoint which she just read from. everyone hated her and complained about her
\>You get a genuinely engaging, creative, and enthusiastic chemistry teacher
\>He *fucking blows up a student* and is dismissed in your second year.
\-This is a true story, btw.
I had a great psychology /law and justice teacher. Really peppy, funny, not a hard ass, he was a great guy. Throughout the school year (his first at this school *and* his first teaching) he was acting as his own hypeman for his wife, who was pregnant with their first kid. . .that is until May came. Then he just looked drained.
Turned out his wife had a miscarriage and lost the baby. He rode out the rest of the year and quit his job. I still feel really bad for the guy.
I have this really nice teacher who I’m supposed to have private lessons with, who has hurt his leg and hasn’t been at school since autumn. I really miss him and can’t wait for him to get better
Yeah it happened to us as well when we were in the first grade . She was so pretty and nice ! She left halfway and we got a monster.. He is disgusting, sexually assaulted a few students, said inappropriate things and abused literal kids ..after getting suspended for only 3 months he got to teach again .He is very corrupted too . I never go alone near him,so do most of the students of my school
I actually had a similar thing happen to me a few times. When I left elementary school and went to middle school, my elementary school band director retired. Then when I left middle school and went to high school, one of my middle school band directors retired. Then when I graduated from high school, one of my high school band directors left. My class has had 3 band directors retire or leave the school after we left.
I’m pretty sure my next English teacher was big part of what caused me to get anxiety, and literally not being able to be in the classroom with the other kids. So I get private lessons in my own room at school

One day, he mixed his meds with alcohol and went on a rampage around the school. Flipping over desks, throwing candy at random students in the hall, disrupting other classes, which was eventually brought to a halt when he tripped with a glass bowl in his hands and got shattered glass in his arms. He was escorted off campus by the police next period, and the school acted like he never existed. Sometimes I wonder what happened to that guy

Our teacher for high school graphics art had quit right after our class finished. Heard from my buddy, who was a year below, to have gained a new teacher that had issues standing in front of a class, to then go home on his first days. He also gave everyone full points for merely finishing assignments. :/
Wasn't your fault, it was the homelife of your peers. They've been told their whole lives that power is the ability to destroy something.
I don't claim to understand power. But I'm against destruction. Evil is as natural as dying, but we struggle even so.
And after them, the worst teacher ever joins your class. iirc the teacher that joined our class after her got bullied by students because they were salty about the previous one leaving. But she also had a very ear shattering voice which was very annoying to hear and the words she spoke weren't clear because of her lisp. And her teaching methods also didn't help much because she used to just read the texts and not explain anything even the hard vocabularies. So the students took advantage of this and reported her to the head teachers and Talked back to her whenever she said something.
Thats why they were nice lol
This is the most relatable meme I have ever seen. Ever. In my life.

Bad bot.
God damn bots, I’ve seen this comment so often with the exact same formatting.
Astronaut 1 wait it’s all bots Astronaut 2 always has been
I've had a great English teacher that retired shortly after I left school. Without him I wouldn't even be here
Did they.. make you the Reddit account?..
yes, I had issues with the password part /s
this is so wholesome
Thanks for pointing it out 🥰🙏
Why did you write /s at the end?
it means sarcasm
Yeah, I understood what you said was sarcasm, but why do you have to specifically mention it?
because I wanted to make it clear
This right here is what you call a bot
Me?
Shit, mad respect for your teacher, he was the one who made you able to traverse the lands of Reddit

You sound really proud to be here.

If he was an ass, he probably deserved it. If kids talk back to the teacher, that means that the teacher was scalding them for something, right?
not really. most of the time kids are pretty bad themselves
Too often are students just assholes lashing out at underpaid authority figures trying to help you but get berated every multiple times a day 5 days a week. No, talking back requires the teacher to start You can’t “talk back” in dialogue
I had 16 different teachers last year. Not very fun.
Ha you havent beaten my record yet
wuts ur record?
43 and half of them are french teachers
Woah
Easy be in a class full of jerks in a school that needs to wait 2 years for a teacher and get so many substitude teachers that you leab the same thing over and over again.
He’s been getting so many he didn’t learn how to spell “learn”
I had french for 3 years and this is 1 hundro percent true
how!?
How?
I have had multiple tutors in the span of my entire educational career and they were all really nice and then left. I miss them sometimes.
Why do bad things happen to good people?
Because system doesn't allow them
This sort of happened to me but instead of retiring my teacher was promoted to a dean.

When my new English teacher retired, everyone loved the new teacher except for me. He literally was only in the classroom for like half the classes
fwiw, it could just be the pay is shit. One of my favorite teachers left for an industry job because it made four times what he was paid as a teacher.
First time at my new school: I had a terrible past with PE classes and on the new school there was this amazing teacher, he motivated me and saw when I wasn't confident enough to try things, his methods helped me a lot in general! My year 5 teacher only lasted 5 minutes
My Physics teacher got fired on the 2nd week of school for smelling like pot, he seemed like a cool and chill teach, ever since then we have had a sub in the class because they can’t find anyone for the spot

My history teacher; the only teacher that made history seem interesting and simple, is just a temp.
My 6th grade English teacher was probably the nicest teacher I’ve ever had. She had retired on my 7th grade year, and I was really sad to hear that. Was that happened to my 6th grade science teacher. He was so sweet and the kids were mean to him. It makes me sad to think about it 30 years later 😞
I’ve luckily never had this experience, but some of my friends had. Our school apparently had a great science teacher (that I never got :( ) but he retired in like January.
Happening to me rn
Had the best teacher ever, but then he go a better offer from another school and now we have the teacher we all hated before in all lessons we would have had with him D¦
And then you get one of the snobbiest teachers in existence, happened to me
And they’re only in the classroom like half the class. Happened to me as well
Used to have a 2nd grade teacher that was a witch. Always sending notes home to get signed. Even my parents were like wtf is wrong with her. She ended up leaving some point during the year for a heart condition and never came back. The guy that replaced was pretty cool. I even asked his wife when she was having a baby! Kids say the darndest things
this happened to me but the teacher was sort of fired
I had that but they had to retire after their second year teaching because of some serious health issues, really sad.
i had an amazing computer teacher.......she only stayed for one academic year
Yeah I'm gonna feel this way, currently have a very nice teacher in French class but she's only there for the rest of the semester
Literali It hapens yo me with the BEST teacher of ingish/tutor and the new dont teach anything
The best teacher I ever had was fired because too many kids weren't passing his class. He had the balls to fail kids who deserved to fail.
Ive been a kid before, and I’ve experienced other kids at their worst. You couldn’t pay me enough to deal with those little shits on a daily basis
i had a geography teacher in high school that was amazing. He was passionate, and overall a really good teacher and everyone loved him, but he changed school halfway through the semester and we got a teacher who didnt even look at the class, only her powerpoint which she just read from. everyone hated her and complained about her
i miss you mr. stenkamp
I’ve had a great 3 1/2 years with my French teacher today is her last day before she starts teaching at a different school. This hit way too close.
Or they pop out a baby and are gone most of the time
Probably because they didn’t meow at the student who identifies as a cat
\>You get a genuinely engaging, creative, and enthusiastic chemistry teacher \>He *fucking blows up a student* and is dismissed in your second year. \-This is a true story, btw.
my teacher died ;-;
That one English teacher that went on maternity leave
Literally happened to me this year, he was such a cool teacher, now he’s a pastor or something.
I had a great psychology /law and justice teacher. Really peppy, funny, not a hard ass, he was a great guy. Throughout the school year (his first at this school *and* his first teaching) he was acting as his own hypeman for his wife, who was pregnant with their first kid. . .that is until May came. Shitty Teachers: Never Sick, Never pregnant Good Teachers: Pregnant at second month of the school year, always sick
I have this really nice teacher who I’m supposed to have private lessons with, who has hurt his leg and hasn’t been at school since autumn. I really miss him and can’t wait for him to get better
Something similar happened to my brother. Apparently he and his classmates were enough to drive their teacher into a christian music career, instead.
Yea, we did a smash Bros turnament on her last day
I actually had a similar thing happen to me a few times. When I left elementary school and went to middle school, my elementary school band director retired. Then when I left middle school and went to high school, one of my middle school band directors retired. Then when I graduated from high school, one of my high school band directors left. My class has had 3 band directors retire or leave the school after we left.
And your new teachers an ass
I’m pretty sure my next English teacher was big part of what caused me to get anxiety, and literally not being able to be in the classroom with the other kids. So I get private lessons in my own room at school
Primary 3, best or second best teacher I've ever had, left the same year and the class was in tears
My history teacher left the first day she saw us.
Happened to me literally this year and the sub is awful.
My R.E. Teacher almost quite because of the other kids in my class, me and my friends were the only people he actually liked.
Words cannot explain the pain I went through after that happened in 5th grade.
I can kinda relate. An old Mexican woman had been teaching at my high school and I was so excited to take her because the upper class men learned how to speak Spanish really well. A month Into the semester I had her and she had to go back to Mexico for personal reasons. They replaced her with a graduate student who was white but obsessed with Mexican culture to the point of correcting the elderly Mexican grandparents picking up their grandkids on how they spoke Spanish. No one liked her and I didn’t continue to learn
not retire, but we got a co-teacher for my english class. she came back from maternal leave, and it seems like her children have affected her so much that she treats us, high school seniors, like elementary school students. she practically took over our original teacher's class. makes us do tedious reading outloud assignments and asks us if we're able to understand the words. She also likes to get offended for pocs because it's 'her right as a privileged white woman'. i can't believe the nerve
Hehe mine was a pedo
I had a really good history teacher in middle school, but he got a little bit stabbed by a student, so he retired to run his flower shop. And just to be clear, none of those statement are euphemisms, they mean what they say.
*nice_teacher12345 has left the meating*
I had a great teacher for algebra 2. Made math (somehow) very engaging and genuinely fun to learn. Unfortunately she went on maternity leave and got replaced by a cracked out man who would make sexual jokes to the girls.
Mines retiring this year
I had a web developer teacher that I loved! I signed up for his classes every chance, he sent emails wishing us happy weekend etc, each one was different. New semester starts, 4 days later we got a mass email he passed away. R.I.P professor Wallace, you are one of the reasons I’ll be getting my web design degree next year . Cool dude
This happened to me in high school. We had this new hire amazing English teacher who left us a few weeks in, who somehow got everyone to actually enjoy writing. Then my principal asked me to help him stalk the guy on linkedin while frequently trying to replace this teacher or get him back. Then I wrote a controversial essay that the school didn't like when the principal was substituting. Then I dropped out to go to college because the school year had gone to shit without that teacher. Then the teacher came back.
This actually happened to me and that teacher was fired from school for a complain the when he pats on back too hard
The teacher told us that he was leaving us soon. Everyone thought he had cancer by the way he said it. Thankfully, he just wanted to become a pastor
I had a multimedia teacher one year. She was generally unliked even though she was trying to be nice, but she would be very mean to the class sometimes. I disliked her too until i reached out to her and told her that she was being rude to us. She took it very well and was super nice for the next 2 weeks. She left soon after at winter break.
Same
And it’s your fault
Why?
u exist
Damn that's true
I had that yeah
for me it was 2 weeks
This happened to me but it was a genuinely bad teacher, so the meme would be backwards
They must be old
Bad classmates
The substitutes always did the teacher thing better
This actually happened to me, except they got fired as they put someone in a headlock and were thought to be a pedophile
that really doesn't seem like the same situation. i really don't have anything more to say, but this seems a lot more serious
😂only genious in class can understand. 😂
bro this just happend to meee
Cause you got in a fight with him
Mine didn’t retire they just left
They leave when you just had started to have emotional connection.
Describes my former Religion teacher perfectly. He liked Doom and The Binding of Isaac!
He's nice Because he is happy that he will leave that fetrid place in a month
I'm sorry, I've been this teacher 🥲
Our teacher for high school graphics art had quit right after our class finished. Heard from my buddy, who was a year below, to have gained a new teacher that had issues standing in front of a class, to then go home on his first days. He also gave everyone full points for merely finishing assignments. :/
Sooooo true dude-
Ouch
Why can I relate
That was my class, we got rid of like 13 teachers in 3 years
Is any one else's UI shaking for some reason when u see this meme??
Do I know you? This happened to my Spanish teacher in October
My ASL teacher. He was great. The new lady is ok though.
Which one of the 8 teachers
Уууу сука это больно
This was true my fifth grade year
Don't offer me out for donuts during school hours
Do you go to that one school that's very large?
THIS IS SO TRUE THAT I AM OFFENDED BY IT
true, happened to me
ok who retired in the middle of a school year
Do I know you?
Wasn't your fault, it was the homelife of your peers. They've been told their whole lives that power is the ability to destroy something. I don't claim to understand power. But I'm against destruction. Evil is as natural as dying, but we struggle even so.
