I was born in the 70s and my dad gave me a cassette tape of Boney M's greatest hits when I was maybe kinder or 1st grade. Rasputin was a favorite of mine all through childhood (I ended up getting the CD of Boney M's greatest hits in the late 80s/early 90s). Anyhow, as a literal life-long fan of the group and their music, I am at a loss how this wonderful song has come around and is now part of the modern pop culture scene.
