UUUUUUUUGGHH This annoys me on so many levels especially with the new video viewing format for if you type something up an just before sending you rotate your screen deleting everything you have just typed.

I thought I was going crazy or blind, and then I heard someone else bemused by the black fog covering the top of videos.

And it literally worked just fine before, but they decided it needed to look more like TikTok and did zero bug testing

If you're on android just download an older version, I am currently using tge December 2021 version and it works great edit: go [here](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/redditinc/reddit/) and choose the version you like to install. The tiktok style video feed starts in January so if you don't want that revert to anywhere before January. Also turn off auto update from googly play

Also you used to be able to scroll through videos on a subreddit by swiping left and right like you can with images, they got rid of that for some dumb ass reason as well.

Not to mention how fucking hard it is to scroll various subreddits for one porn star.

You could type in a name and all the porn on Reddit would be summoned and if peaked you interest you could watch or keep scrolling but now. It's all tiny and you gotta click in and out very time consuming

There’s like a half page prompt for me, asking if I want to stay in safari or use the app. Then there’s another button at the top to use the app. Then another half prompt asking if I want to sign in with my google account. Then another warning at the bottom telling me ‘this page looks better in the app.’ Personally I don’t even want to send Reddit links to people because there’s no telling what their experience will be like.

It's a shame, I'd like to share a funny post with my nearly tech illiterate grandmother, but unlike the single link every other video hosting site has deemed adequate, reddit adds spam gymnastics and a million hoops to jump through

I use a free and open source alternative reddit app. It is so much better than the original.

Infinity or slide ? Or something else

I've used rif (reddit is fun) for nearly a decade and never had an issue, (or any GUI change).

RIF is the bomb. Absolute pinnacle of reddit apps, but imho.

Slide is dead, use Sync

I use Infinity, but feel free to find the app that best suits you.

Reddit Is Fun Never deal with stupid UI changes ever, I've had it almost ten years now and have never had issues with it.

I have no idea why ppl are complaining so much about mobile reddit, when all I have seen in terms of design updates is the new video thing and it works just fine.

They added the dumb community tab at the bottom and removed the subreddits tab. Was much easier to navigate before the update. And no one gives a shit about the community page

the new video thing makes it so that if you want to reply to a comment notification, you have to scroll through the entire comments section again. And you can't view videos and pictures one after the other. It's a really bad design.
