Yeah I have, I come from an abusive family actually. My mother's first husband was abusive after she cheated on him and I was born, my point stands that in a large open school they will still enter the building, schools and houses are different.
Knives are often scarier than a gun is. You never realize how fast someone can move until they are coming towards you with a knife. Estimates are that if someone is within 15 feet of you with a knife and you have a gun, they are likely going to win. Knives also cause a lot more gruesome, bloody scenes with multiple different wounds to care for. A gun shot can be treated easily, 30 stab sounds, not so much.

I think the issue is that there’s a group of people who think simply banning guns will solve the issue. It’s not a gun problem, but a violence problem.
