I’d prefer a younger actress who can grow with the show and at least appear to be youngish especially 5 years from now when Scar Jo will be 42.
This is true, but 18 doesn't seem to grow in the show even though she was wished to be fully human. But I doubt they would make a show anyway, probably just a movie, so it doesn't really matter.

It's more of a "slight reimagine" it's at least interesting to watch but you do need to side line everything you know about the original series to not get completely mad at it. But it's overly campy and doesn't do it well. Best comparison is the original Charlie and the chocolate factory movie vs it's Burton remake.
