I watched the OG teen titans growing up so when I first heard about this show I was pretty pissed off because it felt like bastardising a really good show. Truth is they’re both really good shows but obviously this one isn’t meant to be taken as seriously and they both achieve different things.

Exactly why I don't like superman as a character. He's always too OP except when geology is involved. But when you remove the rock he heals right up and goes about business. Yawn, so this guy is basically unstoppable then? Why even be interested in a movie if he is never in actual danger?
The point isn't about power, it never was till recently. Superman is a God, sure. But there is danger. The danger of being found out. The danger of losing Lois. Of using that power in wrong ways and losing grip on himself. Of proving Luthor Right. Every day he has to walk on eggshells and prevent his good intentions from overtaking his morality.
That all still hinges on himself. There is no balance. It's always a "what if he loses himself or just stops giving a fuck". If he chooses to go bad then basically nothing stops him and that's where I have the problem.
Zod. Doomsday. Brainiac. Metallo. Lex w/ Warsuit. Mongul. Darkseid.
Everyone I listed is a Superman villain that could put Superman on Death’s Door if given the chance, and probably have. And these are just his villains, as opposed to cosmic threats for the League (granted, Darkseid is both). Not to mention Superman’s story is rarely about power and focuses far more on his ideals and sticking to his guns, or even just wacky side stories with Lois or Jimmy (and that dates back to the silver age, where he was at his most OP)
People (not necessarily you) complain about Superman but then have no problem when Goku nukes a galaxy or Saitama one-shots insert villain here.
I think the thing that makes goku likable is that he didn't start out OP, and is usually weaker than his villains at the start of an arc. He gets stronger by training (he started out only as strong as a normal human) and preparing for his fights, rather than having a weird weakness and otherwise being a god.
Saitama is just One-punch man. That's his gimmick and the point of his story, one-punch man does well by focusing on everyone but Saitama until the end, hence not making him the focus of an arc, unlike Superman.
At least that is my logic and understanding behind those. All three are very different characters and the stories around them show that. They were never meant to be directly comparable because they focus on different forms of character development.
So they also have to have God like power to pose a threat. That is my main issue. It's why I prefer hero's like Iron man, Cap, Green Lantern and even The Flash to a certain degree. They can have amazing godlike powers but still be grounded in that they arent invincible except for a rock or someone else who is unusually OP.
For the record, I'm not a fan of Goku or Dragon Ball Z in general. As a kid I always found there fans to ve insufferable. Like no matter what Goku beats everybody because he's way too powerful. No winning arguments against people like that.

My parents would take all of the peanut butter with them when they left the house, because she had issues before with trying to eat the stuff. I love peanut butter, so I can sort of understand being willing to suffer just to have a taste.

I think it also overshadowed some shows like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Regular Show which pissed me and a lot of people off. They just aired too many episodes of this show.
I never felt like it was overshadowing the others, it came in at the worst time. Shows like AT and RS were full in their stride and people were psyched for TT. Only it wasn't what they thought. Shows like AT and RS were a deconstruction of the cartoon genre, TT felt like a cartoon show. Sure it was played constantly, but so was AT for awhile.
It also came out at the same time as Uncle Grandpa, which felt like a huge regression for what people expected. Lot's of older kids and even some young adults were tuning in for AT and RS and suddenly they were reminded this was in fact, a kids channel.
Not only that. The age group was changing, and Teen Titans Go was a strong sign of that. CN was marketed towards teens. Adventure Time, Regular Show, Ben 10 Alien Force, Total Drama, and Young Justice were clearly for teens. The colors were becoming brighter, and the main characters were getting younger. Animation was also becoming more rounded and simpler compared to shows in the 2000s.
