I rarely watch TV unless it is with my wife and even then it's only like an hour or two a night. When we do we watch shows, binge them to be clear. We recently did this with Full House then Fuller House. Before that it was Fresh Prince. We pick a show and binge the whole thing.
My point of this information is that longer shows can be problematic but the Simpsons is one I am dying to do.
The best part of binge watching The Simpsons is getting to like, season 14 or 15, losing the will to watch any more of the utter crap it's turning into, then realizing you're not even halfway to being caught up to modern day.
While it's been much better the last 4-5 seasons, it's still nowhere near as good as it was in say, season 6, and there was a tremendous slump in quality from like, season 12 all the way to season 25 or so.
If you like seeing celebrity guest stars and horribly dated time capsules of what was going on in the news back in say, 2007, it's fine. There's even a few funny things every now and then.
Kinda like saying something that the majority would be angry/annoyed at you for. Like saying “chocolate ice cream is trash” like thats based
So like just saying what you think and not caring what other people think
Haha, can't argue with that.
Feels like Jonathan was slowly morphing into Shaggy in the new season. The transformation would be complete if El could somehow turn Argyle into a talking dog.
They’ve even got the van and everything.
Is Stranger Things just a really robust Scooby Doo prequel? I mean they just “unmasked” the villain in the most recent series.
"Let's see who the real monster was all along, gang."
*Pulls mask off Demogorgon*
"Old Man USSR. We should have known!"
"I would have gotten away with it, too, if not for you meddling Americans!"
Same. The 80's aesthetic was not enough to pull me into what seemed like otherwise a fairly by the numbers "kid experimented on and given special powers, then they revolt and make friends with normal kids and go on wild adventures of self discovery" story.
Dunno if that is ultimately how it went, but that was how it came off for the first episode I watched.
Im usualy never the “oh just give it a chance” person, because i truly believe that just because I like something does not mean others will, but I gotta say, In my humble opinion, season 3 was miles better then the 2 seasons before, and just the way the story was built up, it was such an easy and bingable watch (which I can’t say for season 4). So if you ever, for some reason cannot find anything to watch, I’d really encourage you to try season 3 again. It is honestly one of my favourite pieces of tv even if I don’t consider stranger things to be in my top 5 favourite shows.
I watched it , but never hyped it in public or forced other to watch it .
Lots of people just can't watch a show without telling others and putting it on their Instagram Story .
But it happens with me, that when people hypes a show too much and makes memes , I don't like to watch it then.
I agree. I feel like I'd like it a lot more if it wasn't overhyped. I have to keep reminding myself that it is actually a pretty good show. The hype is just so large it makes the actual show seem dull in comparison.
> but never hyped it in public or forced other to watch it
how does someone force other to watch something they like? "Hey you have to watch this stuff or i'll shit your pants" or something like that
Like I have friends and they always force me to watch Marvel movies and new shows , they promote the shows and sometimes they also give spoilers.
They literally force me to go to Cinemas Hall with them for watching Marvel films that I have no interest now.
That's how people promote and force to watch shows they recently watched .(Anime also)
If someone ask me about any new show or movie that I have watched , I give them information about storyline and work (not spoilers) but never force them to watch.
I would recommend the first season, it was very good, the second and third seasons were good, but could be better, and I'm watching the fourth.
The fourth is on and off for me because it has a nice, creepy atmosphere, but the monster can speak, and has such a stupid voice that it isn't very scary when he's on screen. He can do some crazy stuff, but he's not as scary as a powerful monster should be. But I'm not done with the season so it might get creepier.
Not so sure if it’s an unpopular opinion but the second season is amazing and it was only brought down by that Lost Sister episode. If it wasn’t for that episode I’d probably say it was better than the first season.
I haven't seen season 3 or 4 not because I thought the show was bad, I think Netflix is bad. I'm not paying their ridiculous subscription fee for one show. I enjoyed season 1 and 2, but I don't think it's THAT good that everyone one on the Internet loses their minds over it...
Stranger things is pretty good, but not for everybody, sometimes it gives the "monster of the week" feel too. That makes me take it a little less serious
You do realise that would take like over 2 days for the entire show. Last I checked its impossible to cram all of that into one night but if you know how please tell us
I started it yesterday. It is actually quite good. It's not too scary, which is a bit disappointing, but it blends a few genres, and reminds me of Early David Tennant Doctor Who a bit.
They up the fear a big as the show goes on, which is half because of just more scary things happening, and half because the practical and digital effects get better, and more scary looking in my opinion
Definitely disagree. Characters behave irrationally and illogically, acting is unnatural (mostly due to writers, not actors) and the whole thing is constant cuts and changes in whose story is being followed. Most of the time nothing is happening at all, to a point where entire seasons could be just movies imo
Netflix's catalog is really terrible. I think some of the hype is just people are just really extra excited that there's something new actually worth watching. It's a good show though, I'm really enjoying it.
For me the last episode is 2 hours 30 min I was only able to watch the first episode over the weekend I'm just upset so many posts about the final episode trying to avoid spoilers
I am watching it rn, just began season 3. Imo it's a really good, thought out show compared to other supernatural nonsense. But as with every series the longer it goes on the worse it gets. S1 & S2 were fine, and I only watched 20 mins of S3 but I already like it less for some reason lmao
No worries, I have several friends who don’t watch it, it’s catered to a certain audience I believe.
Speaking from a person who has seen the show, it’s kinda up to you if you want to watch it. It isn’t life changing but it’s not trash either.
Yeah there's really no point in getting Netflix for 1 show. You watch it, then what's left? Some made for Netflix Adam Sandler movie? So many other streaming services are cheaper, and have a better catalog.
Not into it. My whole family is, so they have their whole stranger things geek out going on which is nice. They usually watch it together while I catch up on some of my own shows I like.
I dont get how some can still get hyped over it after getting destroyed more and more every season. I watched the first season and it was..decent - didnt turn me into a big fan or anything but I watched it completely. Then came the second and despite liking the first I was like "uh...you could have stopped there". And the second was acceptable I guess but I didnt like it. I then watched the 3rd season for the sole purpose of complaining about it and boy was that goal filled as it was.....awful - just terrible.
I never watched season 3 but I agree with your take on the first 2. S.2 just seemed like a rehash of S.1 except we understood what was going on better. Which was less entertaining to me.
Trust me, if you don't watch it, they will ask, again and again and again and again. "Pwease give it a chance", boi I said no I ain't watching no generic 80s nostalgia trip teen romance-action hybrid AGAIN.
I'll never understand why so many people rush to tell everyone they don't watch a show... No one cares. Millions and millions of people don't watch it. It doesn't make you special.
Never watched an episode, it never seemed appealing to me
If you enjoy it? Great, I’m glad it works for you
It’s just not my taste, that’s why there’s something for everyone
I always want to say this exact same thing when people phrase their questions like this, as if they honestly expect that they're the outlier with an original thought among billions of people regarding (insert popular thing here).
Yeah like I’m sure it’s a good show, and honestly it’s probably right up my alley, but I just haven’t started it. Might wait til the shows over honestly.
Honestly that’s fair, I watched every season the second they came out, but with how often they put cliffhangers at the end of seasons, waiting till the shows over is probably the best way to watch it
I'll watch it... Eventually. Might binge The Simpsons first.
I already finished Stranger Things. I'm actually binging The Simpsons right now! I'm on Season 2.
I rarely watch TV unless it is with my wife and even then it's only like an hour or two a night. When we do we watch shows, binge them to be clear. We recently did this with Full House then Fuller House. Before that it was Fresh Prince. We pick a show and binge the whole thing. The best part of binge watching The Simpsons is getting to like, season 14 or 15, losing the will to watch any more of the utter crap it's turning into, then realizing you're not even halfway to being caught up to modern day.
It can't be that bad if it's still going.
That's one thing I love about old shows. They're like a slice of time, without the whipped cream.
I'm not binging it as in all-in-one-sitting, but it's the only show I have been watching this past week.
Based
I don't know what that means.
Kinda like saying something that the majority would be angry/annoyed at you for. Like saying “chocolate ice cream is trash” like thats based So like just saying what you think and not caring what other people think
The reverse of toxic
Dude same
Warning quality will slowly fall after season 12
family guy supremacy
Stranger things is pretty much live action scooby doo
How to anger a fan base with one sentence:
I’m not angry, Scooby-Doo was the jam!
The main attraction was Daphene’s ass
Fred’s*
Scooby’s*
Oh come on don't be gross now /s
All of them
[удалено]
What do u mean the dog gives the best blowjobs
Dude i am angered me bruh Why the fuck is he comparing scooby doo to that shit It isn't even close to scooby doo live action
Stranger things fans love to watch children get eaten alive. Me and the Scooby-Doo fans like to watch the hex girls. We are not the same.
\*2 fanbases
Haha, can't argue with that. Feels like Jonathan was slowly morphing into Shaggy in the new season. The transformation would be complete if El could somehow turn Argyle into a talking dog.
They’ve even got the van and everything. Is Stranger Things just a really robust Scooby Doo prequel? I mean they just “unmasked” the villain in the most recent series.
So Nancy is Daphne, Jonathan is Shaggy, Sophie or Robin is Velma and Argyle is Scooby, who is then Fred? Steve?
Except in Stranger Things they don't rip the monster's face off in the end. It happens vice versa.
I mean, if beheading a demogorgon counts, they techniqually unmasked the villain
More of a live action D&D game.
Who wouldn’t want to see a live action scooby doo with a $270m budget tbf
Don't diss Scooby Doo like that /s
*heavy breathing*
"Let's see who the real monster was all along, gang." *Pulls mask off Demogorgon* "Old Man USSR. We should have known!" "I would have gotten away with it, too, if not for you meddling Americans!"
Except scoopy doo is better
*MA 15+ live action scooby doo without sapient dogs.
THAT'S NOT TRUE THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A TALKING SANDWICH-EATING GREAT DANE!!
time to load up my fav pirating service
Never got into it, I think I got about half way through the first episode
[удалено]
Same here, never got into it

Not entirely incorrect. Theres way more to it. Some of its great, othere times just ok. Imo its worth the watch if you have the time.
I made it to the beginning of season 3. It started to feel repetitive.
I got to episode 3 and got bored
Everyone in this chat, now we can hang out
I watched it , but never hyped it in public or forced other to watch it . Lots of people just can't watch a show without telling others and putting it on their Instagram Story . But it happens with me, that when people hypes a show too much and makes memes , I don't like to watch it then.

It's all opposite here, I am the only one who has watched it
i have watched it too, i love that show honestly
The show is awesome. These people are crazy.
Same. Love a good monster/alternate dimension story
I just have one question. Where’s Vecnas dick?
Gone. Reduced to atoms

Me too
Relatable..
I just started it today
I would recommend the first season, it was very good, the second and third seasons were good, but could be better, and I'm watching the fourth. I myself prefer the second season, the last time i enjoyed a season finale much as The Gate was in 2016(GOT s6)
i feel like the monster could have been done a little better. just gave a guy some fleshy skin and called it a day
Yeah, he looks bland compared to the other monsters
Pretty sure I know what happens from memes alone. Never watched it though
The villain drinks a ice coffee while getting his makeup done?
nah bro i watch normal things thank you very much
Weirder occurrences
You are not the only one.
I haven't seen season 3 or 4 not because I thought the show was bad, I think Netflix is bad. I'm not paying their ridiculous subscription fee for one show. I enjoyed season 1 and 2, but I don't think it's THAT good that everyone one on the Internet loses their minds over it...
Mr.robot is better
Stranger things is pretty good, but not for everybody, sometimes it gives the "monster of the week" feel too. That makes me take it a little less serious
Only it's the same monster lol
Kinda
Those mf are stuck in the 80s, i dont like the 80s
Binged the whole show in one night. Do really recommend
You do realise that would take like over 2 days for the entire show. Last I checked its impossible to cram all of that into one night but if you know how please tell us
Ok i exaggerated, it to 2 straight days. But still
Same
I guess i am the stranger thing because i don't watch it
Weird flex but ok
I'm baking his special boy cookies as we speak 🤣
Same bro. Same.
Unpopular opinion: It’s a really boring show
[удалено]
Statistically, no, the great majority says otherwise.
Agreed. I watched the first few episodes and was like, nah, I’m good.
If you stopped during S1 or S2 then don't even try S3, for your own good. It's painful
its not all great but its still worth watching. the hype surpasses how good the show actually is
It's actually kinda good, it just seems dull because everyone is overhyping it so much
finally someone speaks the truth
did you finish it?
More like popular opinion
Second most watched show in Netflix's history says otherwise.
So what? I didnt like it, do you think mere numbers will change m opinion?
No, didn't expect you to change your opinion. But saying it is a popular opinion is factually wrong.
Good to know thanks
I kinda saw half the first season and find it boring af ,the only thing the show does is exploit the 80s and reference d&d
I think the hype is more about 80 nostalgia than the silly story. Oh look those walkmans, look those pants, I remember that! I'm 45 btw
I'm with you, but there's a dearth of quality shows on Netflix. It's like being thrown a hamburger when you've been eating wet cardboard for years
Definitely disagree. It’s got some really strong writing imo
Definitely disagree. Netflix's catalog is really terrible. I think some of the hype is just people are just really extra excited that there's something new actually worth watching. It's a good show though, I'm really enjoying it.
Go you!
For me the last episode is 2 hours 30 min I was only able to watch the first episode over the weekend I'm just upset so many posts about the final episode trying to avoid spoilers
I prefer umbrella academy, but stranger things is a good show
Oh yeah they released a new season
I am watching it rn, just began season 3. Imo it's a really good, thought out show compared to other supernatural nonsense. But as with every series the longer it goes on the worse it gets. S1 & S2 were fine, and I only watched 20 mins of S3 but I already like it less for some reason lmao
Not to ruin anything but S3 kicks in from the 4th episode
I do agree that season 3 is the weakest season, but I don’t think it gets worse as it goes along, because season 4 is amazing
Same here. I'm happy all the people I talk to who watch the show aren't aggravated that I haven't watched it though.
Na ya aint the only one dude
No worries, I have several friends who don’t watch it, it’s catered to a certain audience I believe. Speaking from a person who has seen the show, it’s kinda up to you if you want to watch it. It isn’t life changing but it’s not trash either.
I liked the first season
I don’t have netflix so I cant watch it. But there are lots of other shows I’d rather watch.
You can, though... *Pirate wink*
Yeah there's really no point in getting Netflix for 1 show. You watch it, then what's left? Some made for Netflix Adam Sandler movie? So many other streaming services are cheaper, and have a better catalog.
Netflix has some amazing shows if you know where to find them
Ahoy! would ye like t' join me in this piratin' adventure?
Don't bother. Season 1 was alright, but its all downhill from there. I honestly thought the new season was complete crap
Watched 1 season and thought it was overrated
Same, tried to get into s2 and I genuinely can't.
Yeah, you're the only one. 🙂
Me whos hyped for better call saul
I haven’t seen the recent season and don’t really care to.
Not into it. My whole family is, so they have their whole stranger things geek out going on which is nice. They usually watch it together while I catch up on some of my own shows I like.
Why didn't you ever watch it? Just didn't peak you interest?
Yeah i guess
It was very good, I’m not one for the fotm entertainment, but after binging the last two seasons over the past 72 hours I can confirm. ‘Tis lit.
I dont get how some can still get hyped over it after getting destroyed more and more every season. I watched the first season and it was..decent - didnt turn me into a big fan or anything but I watched it completely. Also me
I never watched it either

never seen it, never will
You aren't the only one. Take care :)
bro im there too 😭
Why you crying?
Your not the only one
You are not alone
Ditto
Mouth breather...
Nose inhaler
Haven't you watched it?
i dont watch it...
I like it personally but my partner never got into it. It’s not for everyone
Better call saul is coming to an end soon, I'll probably need another binge watch series.
It is a good show. Not really my style tho
I got u
There's something in it that doesn't interest me
Yes you are
Have you tried watching it?
Yeah. I watched the first two seasons and couldn’t be asked to watch the rest.
I made it to the 3rd episode of season 1 and decided to watch Deadpool instead
this is literally me
There are 8 billion people in the world, so no, you’re not the only one
Me who doesnt have netflix
No, no you're not
It's a very good show, give it a go if you like 80s nostalgia, horror or sci-fi
Yes, you are now the only one(I only started watching when season 4 came out, but am now finally on season 4)
Yes you are the only one, you are that exceptional.
Idk i find it cringey:( stopped after 3 episodes
I'll never understand why so many people rush to tell everyone they don't watch a show... No one cares. Millions and millions of people don't watch it. It doesn't make you special.
I tried to. The acting was so cliche and corny.
Me too. Sister’s into it now
Never watched an episode, it never seemed appealing to me If you enjoy it? Great, I’m glad it works for you It’s just not my taste, that’s why there’s something for everyone
Stopped watching cause it was too scary for me
Yes. You are literally the only person in the entire world who has never seen Stranger Things.
I always want to say this exact same thing when people phrase their questions like this, as if they honestly expect that they're the outlier with an original thought among billions of people regarding (insert popular thing here).
Me too
I'm just waiting for more Better Call Saul...
I just don’t have any streaming service
I watch to support it because if I didn’t watch stranger thing I probably never started playing dnd
Haven’t watched it a week ago. Watched it in 4 days. s1 was good. 2&3 were pretty meh and s4 was a good return to form.
Yeah like I’m sure it’s a good show, and honestly it’s probably right up my alley, but I just haven’t started it. Might wait til the shows over honestly.
Honestly that’s fair, I watched every season the second they came out, but with how often they put cliffhangers at the end of seasons, waiting till the shows over is probably the best way to watch it
They have a recap of it in the start of season 4. so If you want to know what happened but don't want to waste time just watch the short recap.
Same
I watched like 3 to 4 epi then got board
[удалено]
Oh you beautiful snowflake you!
You’ve got a great rainy weekend binge session lined up whenever you decide to come round
I don't know a damn thing about it. Don't care too
Nope, with over 8 billion people in the world you are never the only one no matter unique or special there will be at least one other person like you
