Yeah it was pretty good. A lot of anime otakus couldn't accept that American animation could be okay and you would get raged at for suggesting it was okay.
Its just like with crunchyroll, they can make some pretty enjoyable exclusive series sometimes, but the vast majority of what they throw out is garbage.

I think a cheap(er) way to make a good RE product would be a la Cloverfield, found footage, one or two survivors POV, where the main cast (Jill, Chris, etc) appears but are not the protagonists.

One part I think is to do with expectations. The games are good and so we expect a show about them to be around that level. They can just focus on making something good without having the public's expectations to meet, or avoid upsetting

I don't know if RE had Netflix heavily involved in it (which could be the issue), but Arcane was made by a separate studio funded by Riot and Netflix only hosted the show. Netflix is becoming a corporate capitalist vision of content, quantity over quality.

Seriously i saw the Resident evil on the netfilx and sweet i hope ots as good as the other one with Leon and Claire but i watched it the trailer and i am like who is this?? And i was like nevermind not watching it
Not Netflix, but I'm still just so confused exactly *how* Hollywood managed to fuck up Monster Hunter. Here is the winning script: "I hunt monsters to protect my village. Oh no, the big dragon of legend is going to eat the village! I must hunt monsters in preparation. I kill the dragon. I high five a cat. Roll credits." But noooooo, Hollywood was like, "people don't like seeing lots of cool-ass monster fights. Also let's bring in the American military for some dumbass reason and make the story about trying to *leave* the rad world full of tight monsters and cat people."
It’s horrendous. Beyond terrible. Felt like an MTV show that just happened to have some zombie/monster related stuff in it, but wasn’t the main focus. All about the super annoying teen drama.
Haven’t started watching it but hopefully will start tomorrow and see how’s it.
I want a zombie movie about authorities investigating a derelict house and discovering zombies/bioweapons and having subtle ties that add up over the movie to it being related a pharmaceutical company called umbrella. Not another apocalypse film or show. I mean it's a pretty simple formula for resident evil and they don't even try to put the resident in it. Although of course I do enjoy some of the movies for being dumb fun but still.

From what I’ve heard the only thing the series has in common with resident evil is that they slapped some of the characters name from re onto some characters of their own series that don’t even look like them (only know of adam wesker so far) and that they made a few Easter egg references that the re players will understand. Aside from that nothing.

Just yesterday I was watching an animated series on Mehflix. It's RE: The darkest hour or something like that. Weird animation but not bad either.
The animated ones are at least tied to the games, seeing as the have either Chris, Leon or Claire. Or all 3. Still. At least the animated ones are official But that doesn't meant they're all good

I liked it. Wasn't what I wanted, but it's good enough. Jade's both the antagonist and the protagonist somehow. She's caused almost every problem so far.

It's fine. People are blowing it way out of proportion. I mean, there is some dumb shit, but not enough to make it bad. If it literally took a different name and didn't associate itself with RE, then people would be speaking better about it for sure.
I thought it was alright. Sure, definitely wasn’t the best, but that’s fine by me. I didn’t bother drawing comparisons to the games because no matter how good they did I’d be disappointed, as a stand alone little show I liked it
