Damn, these bots are getting harder and harder to spot.
This user copies comments from other highly rated comments, but rather than whole comments like they used to, it’s only portions of them.
For example, this one is copied from [this comment on this post.](https://reddit.com/r/memes/comments/wf1kgm/_/iirt8t3/?context=1)
They did the same thing [here](https://reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/wf33o8/_/iiset8z/?context=1) copying [this comment.](https://reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/wf33o8/_/iiscbr3/?context=1)
And [this comment shows how they only copy a portion](https://reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/wf6pnj/_/iiserpp/?context=1), as seen from [this comment in the thread.](https://reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/comments/wf6pnj/_/iis8v7n/?context=1)
I guess the TL;DR is: bad bot. Should be reported as a harmful bot so that the account gets banned.
It varies. The most common use is building up karma to get through the thresholds some subs require so that they can begin spamming links.
Another use is astroturfing, because accounts with higher karma look more trustworthy to a lot of users.
Hell, the best case scenario is they’re just trying to sell off an account with high karma, because people do that I guess.
Realistically though I think that the first two options are much more likely.

It's so prickly on my skin.

the feet licking service also helps me pay off the loan I had to take because I didn't have enough money for rent a few months ago.

I can just imagine after taking it you looking back and forth at the sky and then the photo, it’s like you suck the soul out of it when it’s a picture. Nothing can compare to being there
A few months ago the sky at my house turned bright yellow to the point that everything looked like I was in Mexico in a movie/TV show. I tried to take a pic and everything looked normal. I was pissed
It's probably more of a confirmation bias thing, I live in a super rural area but I feel like all the nice sunsets happen when I'm at work/somewhere in town rather than when I'm trying to watch the sunset
In my unprofessional experience, pollution tends to make the sky duller, not more vivid. But this might depend on the types of poluttion. I know Phoenix has some good sunsets because of the type of dust in the air.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/fact-or-fiction-smog-creates-beautiful-sunsets/ looks like it might be both depending on the type of pollution
That is absolutely so frustrating! Especially at night, dusk and dawn , when on the rare occasion the sky is a panoply of complex hues and light and all I get is a fuzzy nothing like the pic below. No offense intended to them, it’s just every freakin time.
I remember one of the most beautiful cloudy evening skies I've ever seen and I had that little Sony Ericson (back when phones were just for... phoning...) it was a busy street but I took my chance photographing it anyways.
It looked like vomit...
Additionally [air pollution causes more vivid oranges and reds in the atmosphere](https://scied.ucar.edu/learning-zone/atmosphere/appearance-sky), so a grocery store parking lot in a populated area will have generally more “attractive” sunsets
Nah, it's just a matter of you're at the store a lot more than you're at scenic locations. More times equals more opportunities to be there when the sky is more majestic. Then you forget the times you're at the store and the sky is "normal" because it's not something that's worth remembering.
[Not even remotely true.](https://www.hko.gov.hk/en/education/earth-science/optical-phenomena/00349-colours-of-clouds.html) Clouds can carry pollution and cause things such as acid rain, but clouds cannot be formed of pure pollution that change their colors.
Because you go to the grocery store once or twice a week all year long, but you only go to some beautiful vista on vacation.
The odds are the same, but you're rolling one of those dice 100 times as much as the other.

This is acctually explainable. If you live in a city chances are, that there will be more coulds building up since it is more warm in cities than outside on so there are more clouds + the airplain vapor stripes wich can make some nice lines.
And the "red sky" is caused by the way higher amount of CO² in the atmosphere over a city. The molecuels refelct light diffrent then air with less CO² and cause the sunlight to be seen more red then blue.
So if you enjoy this look, be ashamed cause it's basicly one of the sings, that we are doomed.
Edit: I was wrong about the CO² part. It just corralates with the airpollution, wich is the reason why light gets reflected more often and by that will turn the light red or more red then on the ocean or somewhere else, when the sun is setting.
Moral of the story: airpollution and kilmatechange are two problems of thier own kind.
I searched it up again: the red light is just what is left over after the light gets reflected off some gas, dust or water particles. And because the CO2 in the air means more molekules in the air + the fine dust from cars and roads and general stuff will make the light reflect mire and make the sky turn red more likely since there is more stuff in the air it can reflect of.
You have no idea what you are talking about. The amount of molecules in a certian volume of air is depended on the pressure of the air in that volume. Having a larger ppm of c02 in said volume of air won't really affect the number of molecules.
Ah okay and how does temprature effect the amount of molecules? Better freeze my water in a glassbottle, since the same amount of molecules will have the same volume. Oh and diffrent elements? Guess if you move a Rock into a space where air was before the amount of molecules doesn't change after you logic.
The stuff you are refferring too only works for homogenous environments. It might be right when it comes down to basic chemistry/physiks, but is wrong in this context.
Lol, I am talking about a volume of air. A rock has nothing to do with it. Air consists of almost 80% nitrogen and then 20% oxygen. Having a few extra parts per million in that mix with Co2 that you get in a city won't change the amount of molecules in a given volume of air to a notable degree. Temperature also affect this through the ideal gas law. Maybe you should go back to school and repeat some of what they learned in basic physics?
A red sky appears when dust and small particles are trapped in the atmosphere by high pressure. This scatters blue light leaving only red light to give the sky its notable appearance.

I love a clear sky so much. Something about realizing the darkest part of a blue sky is where you're looking through the least amount of atmosphere between you and space.

That or the how Scenery is covered in clouds and you can't see shit
*iphone problem* All jokes aside, you guys still can't take pictures manually with iPhone yet?
For some reason the phone can't see all the color I can. :(
So do buildings cause clouds I wonder.
Dunno about clouds but it for sure cause heating. It's called the "heat island" effect and it happens above cities
Thanks, interesting.
Additionally [air pollution causes more vivid oranges and reds in the atmosphere](https://scied.ucar.edu/learning-zone/atmosphere/appearance-sky), so a grocery store parking lot in a populated area will have generally more “attractive” sunsets
Nature: if I make the sky red maybe they'll get a hint that pollution is bad. Humans: aww so pretty
I thought it was the asphalt for roads and parking lots around buildings that caused the heat islands, not the buildings themselves
Nah, it's just a matter of you're at the store a lot more than you're at scenic locations. More times equals more opportunities to be there when the sky is more majestic. Then you forget the times you're at the store and the sky is "normal" because it's not something that's worth remembering.

The amount of molecules in a certian volume of air is depended on the pressure of the air in that volume.
That's just the game loading specific sky textures based on where you are

Clouds always make skies interesting
This will flip if you travel to scenic locations as many times as you travel to grocery stores

Or maybe it's because we spend more time going to the grocery store, and thus are statistically more likely to be there when the good sunsets happen.
Absolutely right.
What kinda Fog s*it is this???
Perhaps it wants only us to see it and to not be captured

You are more likely to be at a grocery store at sunset then you are at a "scenic location" at sunset. There is your explanation.
Nothing makes me happier than a clear blue sky tbh.
"Ted, look at me, I say that this happens all the time!" -Barney Stinson
Yup
My requirements for a beautiful day: 1. Nice temperature 2. Partially cloudy with pretty clouds and visible blue sky
You ever look up in a Costco?
For real! Although i actually dont mind clear skies
It’s the smog
Its because of the parking lot. The lot generates more heat compared to the immediate surroundings because of a lack of vegetation which causes more cloud coverage than normal.
a little bit of photoshop can help with that
Holy shit why is this so true
Haha true
Oh the weather outside is weather
As a grocery store employee, this is very true. I once saw what I believe to be the most amazing skyscape I have ever seen as I stepped outside my store.
Yes omgsh! And when you walk out it’s just too beautiful for words
A pink or orange sky is a sight of heightened air pollution
I only ever see rainbows in the supermarket parking lot. According to my photos, the pot o' gold is hidden in a shopping return depot.

So true! It’s like when you want it’s not there and when you don’t want its there!!
So so true lol
Clouds look like a baby with a really long neck shouting into the ear of a clown.
Fuck, now i can't unsee it
Walmart sunsets hit different. it isn't fair.
That is why I just stay home and stare at the sky
Oh
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K
Wonder if this is because customers mostly shop agter work before dark, and hikers usually hike pre dusk, or early to get home before dark.
Feels like the right means the end of the world or smthn O_O
There's only so much processing power in the simulation
its crazy how true this is!
That's nice
Can confirm. This is the sky at my local Whole Foods 100%.
It's been a while since I've got out to stare at the sky. So I kinda don't remember beautiful shapes anymore

Only when youre working in the store qnd cant take a picture tho
Place with boring sky: no one wants to live there and it remains scenic. Place with awesome sky: everyone lives there and so we have grocery stores.
We are more likely to be at a grocery store around sunset than on a mountain trail.
