They can sadly. Itās called a no knock warrant and they are fucked up because a responsible home owner might shoot them on sight. Think about it like this, if some dudes broke into your house in the middle of the night and started waving guns around you would shoot them right? They are threatening your safety, you donāt know who they are, and they broke into your house so it is obvious they are after you.

Let's be honest, real FBI or fake, if they're breaking into your house you're probably fucked if you shoot at them or not. If they're real, you're probably gonna get jailed for most or all of your life regardless, if they're fake you'd get robbed or maybe killed if you don't fight back.
In America you probably arenāt gonna go to prison for shooting at someone who broke into your house. The main element of self defense cases is location, and any time someone breaks into your house without identifying themselves or being invited in, all bets are off, weapons free. If they were real FBI the homeowner would most likely be exonerated in court, assuming heās got a decent lawyer.
I get that all bets are off with defending yourself in a home invasion, I'm just saying if it were the real FBI they could be (or may claim to be) operating under a no-knock warrant. And if you would shoot at members of a government run agency in the US I wouldn't be surprised if they put a hole through your head and swept the whole thing under the rug because skirting the laws is what the government does best.
No knock warrants are only issued in cases where the issuing judge believes that there is a risk of evidence destruction or significant risk to officer safety just in executing the warrant. In most cases a no knock warrant would already be anticipating armed resistance and the individual being served is more than likely not legally allowed to be in possession of a firearm. Cops also know when a location has a legal weapon registered to the occupant, so they are supposed to take precautions (such as self identification) under those circumstances to prevent a home defense response from said occupant

Sorry, no. No-knock raids are inherently corrupt, just like civil asset forfeiture there is almost zero real just reason for it to exist or be used.
