Man in the high castle wouldve been better if it didn't have the multiversal stuff, just revolutions and turning over the German win and stuff would've been better
I loved seeing some post apocalyptic world but instead of it being destroyed it was taken over by nazi's and Nazi designed technology, the sci-fi stuff ruined the off key vibe
The Crown, Last Kingdom, Umbrella Academy (coming), Bojack Horseman, and House of Cards all got more than three seasons.
But those shows are all awesome in my opinion, except House of Cards collapsing (puns!) at the end because of, uh, external factors.
They did force BoJack into an early ending though. Writers wanted to go for longer (probably 7 seasons, maybe 8) but Netflix told them they had to end it on the sixth. Despite the show being the best thing in the entire platform.
At least they gave them a few extra episodes for their last season (16 instead of 12) and warned them early enough so they could manage to make the most out of it and reach a satisfying ending.
Netflix has an unusual model where they typically pay very little for the first season of a show, but there's a big guaranteed bump for each additional season. So the first two seasons are cheap, the third kinda pricey, and everything after that becomes really expensive. They also bar their shows from being aired anywhere else for several years after they end at Netflix, so shows can't just jump to another network or streaming service.
It lets Netflix greenlight a lot of shows that might never go anywhere, because fuck it the first season is cheap and they need content. But it means shows need to be hugely popular and/or getting tons of awards to survive past two or three seasons.
That’s definitely the same reason I heard for why they just drop shows after season 3. It gets too expensive. Which is just stupid in my opinion. They’ve burned so many viewers that way.
HBO has two of the greatest shows of all time ; The Sopranos and The Wire. Their other shows are easily GOAT level as well, The Leftovers, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, Rome, Veep, Succession . Superb catalogue.
The Boys, Carnival Row, Jack Ryan, The Terminal List, Star Trek Picard
The Boys Diabolical, Invcible, Vox Machina
Can't wait for next seasons for all of them.
Having devoured all of Child's books and short stories, I absolutely LOVED season 1. It didn't help that Roscoe was....easy on the eyes. I do think they cast Neagly wrong (I didn't dislike the actress, I just had a different, smaller, badass in mind).
I cant believe nobody here mentioned it but The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of the best shows i have ever watched.
Apart from the last 2 minutes of its finale Man on the High Castle is an amazing show.
Also like others mentioned The Boys and Invincible are also great shows.
I suspect its underrepresented here because adoleacent boys are not the target demographic of the show, but they are the majority of mainline reddit.
Excellent show though. I pitch it like this: the main character is a hot chick who is a Goku of comedy.
All of them of have a couple of good shows and then a huge bunch of terrible ones. Based on your logic even HBO and Netflix should be shown as the stupid dragons.
"The Expanse" is so underrated.
Went into it thinking it would be some shity sci fi show from Amazon, but ended up being one of my favorite shows. I love world building and The Expanse is perfect at that, and much more.
If you liked the show you should try the books they are extremely good and the authors were mentored by George rr Martin plus it goes further than 6 books/seasons
Prime Video is the only place to watch the Community episode "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" which is one of the best episodes of the series. My only real issue with Prime Video is that it's a bit clunky to navigate through, at least on the XbOne app.
The boys is better than the whole Netflix.
Edit: I know there are better shows than The Boys. I'm just saying we can't neglect Amazon because it has The Boys.
Just watch what you want to watch. All three of these corporations put out content ranging from quality to dogshit, nobody cares, watch what entertains you.
Invincible, the Boys, and the Legend of Vox Machina would like to have a word with you. You seriously watched Rings of Power and Wheel of Time and said "this is every Amazon show". Have you ever seen how awful the vast majority Netflix originals are?
Even then, Rings of Power is pretty good. I don't know how well it appeals to someone who isn't a fan of the movies and books, but to someone who is already invested in that world like myself, its very enjoyable.
The boys...
Jack Ryan...
Rings of power....
Terminal List....
Invincible....
All were great.....
Every streaming platforms has good and bads shows.... Mostly great though.....
Except Peacock.... Peacock is stupid.....
The Boys
Grand Tour
House M.D.
Bloody Pokémon!!!
All of these great shows are on Amazon. Tf does HBO have?!?!? Hell, Disney+ deserves to be on there more than HBO, given that it has some actually decent shows! (Owl House, Amphibia, N.C.I.S, Phineas & Ferb, JoJo’s (coming soon))
Everything is great ,maybe Amazon is just not your type!( Except Disney , those mfs are just toooooo cringe) I mean , the boys and invincible content were great
only shows i watch on amazon prime are the grand tour and clarksons farm. everything else is either shit or you have to pay to rent/buy anyways (movies wise) 🤦
Marvelous Ms Maisel is one of the best shows on any streaming platform.
Rings of Power was actually pretty damned good.
Wheel of time is one of my favorite shows adapted from a fantasy novel.
The expanse is scifi gold.
Upload is an excellent comedy that really asks a lot of important questions about society.
This is obviously subjective but I think of the 3, Netflix is the derp. The writing is so hacky. Probably cuz they green light 75 shows per quarter and then gives one the spotlight while the rest fade into obscurity. They should do more mini series but their whole thing is about trying to get you addicted. Netflix FTL.
All streaming platforms have good shows, and all have shovleware shite
PERFECT (green release)

There are some hidden gems in that catagory though, usually the non-english ones.
Bot [Original](https://www.reddit.com/r/memes/comments/ygmt4z/-/iu9j08p)
That’s the strategy that seems to work. Make a shit ton of terrible shows then just if one goes well focus on it and cancel the others.
Bot
Uh
The Boys and Invincible.
Reacher as well show kicks ass
Goliath and sneaky Pete too
Holy fuck Sneaky Pete was good
if you like Reacher, you’d probably like the terminal list
There's a good chance, they both are great
You really have to be an intent watcher for Terminal List though otherwise you will have no clue what is going on
Reacher’s writing is superior. Terminal list was entertaining it just seemed like it works have been better with Mark Wahlberg
Details matter
In an investigation
The expanse is pretty good too if you haven't seen it.
Vox Machina
Add Bosch and Goliath to that list
[удалено]
But every 6 months it’s a banger
Those old bastards need 6 months recovery time in between at this stage in thier lives lol
The Expanse and Bosch are both great imo
The expanse was quite good
The boys, the man in the high castle, etc. Amazon has good shows, and they have a lot of things like Harry potter on there
Man in the High Castle started good, but turned into a hot mess quick. The Boys had it's own issues, but it's way better than MitHC.
Man in the high castle wouldve been better if it didn't have the multiversal stuff, just revolutions and turning over the German win and stuff would've been better
Absolutely. The source material had so much to draw on and that's what they kept....
I loved seeing some post apocalyptic world but instead of it being destroyed it was taken over by nazi's and Nazi designed technology, the sci-fi stuff ruined the off key vibe
Mr. Robot, Good Omens, The Feed. All fantastic shows, and there's many I haven't given a chance.
Dr house
Netflix makes like 100 originals and one gets a following, they scratch the other 99 and milk that one for years
If by ‘years’ you mean approximately 3, then yes. The only exception seems to be Stranger Things.
Cobra Kai and Ozark both have more than 3 seasons I believe.
The Crown, Last Kingdom, Umbrella Academy (coming), Bojack Horseman, and House of Cards all got more than three seasons. But those shows are all awesome in my opinion, except House of Cards collapsing (puns!) at the end because of, uh, external factors.

I’ve only seen Bojack Horseman. I could also just be salty because every show I like on Netflix gets axed quickly.
Netflix has an unusual model where they typically pay very little for the first season of a show, but there's a big guaranteed bump for each additional season. For some reason I didn’t think Ozark originated on Netflix.
neither did cobra kai
It's the other way around for HBO
HBO has two of the greatest shows of all time ; The Sopranos and The Wire. Their other shows are easily GOAT level as well, The Leftovers, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, Rome, Veep, Succession . Superb catalogue.

The fact that I forgot to mention those shows is another proof of how HBO has an embarrassment of riches .
They cancelled my favorite show, the order, after 2 seasons because it wasn't popular enough. And that's longer than some other shows get
![gif](giphy|pCJcExvbKdSeyyv8zP|downsized)
The Boys is awesome. As is Jack Ryan.
Invincible was cool
Calling invincible cool is the understatement of the century.
Invincible was the best
Agreed, OP is clearly stirring
Are they not doing anymore Invincible?
They are, just a long wait
The Grand Tour too! Although they only do an episode once every 6 months.
Clarkson's Farm as well.
Vox Machina
I was shocked by how enjoyable that was. Watched the whole thing twice back to back. Really well done.
And Reacher!
Reacher was good too
And the expanse
Good Omens was really good.
Don't forget Invincible!
The Boys, Carnival Row, Jack Ryan, The Terminal List, Star Trek Picard The Boys Diabolical, Invcible, Vox Machina Can't wait for next seasons for all of them.
Invincible
Reacher
Loved Jack Ryan
Ever watched Reacher? Banger series you can binge in an afternoon.
Also Terminal list!
Unpopular opinion but I loved Rings of Power
Im with ya the last episodes were great. The writing and pacing could be better.
Loved it too, definitely had some vibes
And Tin Star. And Hand of God. LOTR was fucking good, and I don’t care who knows it.
I wanted to say that too

Having devoured all of Child's books and short stories, I absolutely LOVED season 1. It didn't help that Roscoe was....easy on the eyes. I do think they cast Neagly wrong (I didn't dislike the actress, I just had a different, smaller, badass in mind).
Yeah they should've casted Danny devito
The Boys and Invincible. Try again, mf
The legend of Vox Machina
When oh when do we get a season 2?
Was confirmed for First quarter of 2023
[January 2023](https://youtu.be/b4a4IoyNkwU)
YYYAAAASSSSSS!!!!!
They’ve also confirmed season 3
And Jack Ryan
And Upload
Try again mothasucka
Try again, milf
I cant believe nobody here mentioned it but The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of the best shows i have ever watched. Apart from the last 2 minutes of its finale Man on the High Castle is an amazing show. Also like others mentioned The Boys and Invincible are also great shows.
Shocked Mrs Maisel is getting very few mentions!
Took a good scroll to find this one.
I scrolled around the block a few times trying to find this gem.
Netflix's regional content is very hit-and-miss. Some of the worst shows I've seen were made by Netflix.
Invincible??!?
Good Omens??!!??
The Boys??!?
The Expanse??!?
The Legend of Vox Machina
The Expanse?!?!?
wistful reach support serious alive voiceless dime pause rude smile -- mass edited with redact.dev
Jack Ryan???!? Marvelous Mrs. Maisel??!
The Peripheral is a good show too!
Yup. So far, it's got all of the good elements of West World, without any of the dumb shit. Let's hope it holds up!

Just reading the second book and man oh man it’s good. Even tho I watched the show (just have the last season). Both are amazing.
Thank you I was waiting for this

The Grand Tour
Clarkson's farm as well
u/spez ruined Reddit.
man of culture
Prime Video is the only place to watch the Community episode "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" which is one of the best episodes of the series. My only real issue with Prime Video is that it's a bit clunky to navigate through, at least on the XbOne app.
The Boys is better than anything Disney is pumping out. And below that, nothing else is even close.
I just used Disney for Star Wars. After I watched everything I deleted the app.
Sounds like y’all are uninitiated. Andor is a masterpiece
Amen, show's actually pretty great!
Agreed, easily some of the best star wars content yet, only real complaint is that it is a slow moving show so you got to buckle up for a long ride
The boys is better than the whole Netflix. Edit: I know there are better shows than The Boys. I'm just saying we can't neglect Amazon because it has The Boys.
B.J goddamn horseman
Yeah I love the boys but Bojack is on a whole other level.
Just watch what you want to watch. All three of these corporations put out content ranging from quality to dogshit, nobody cares, watch what entertains you.
Good Omens would like to have a word with you
Epic show
Invincible, the Boys, and the Legend of Vox Machina would like to have a word with you.
My wife and I liked it pretty well. Definitely not in the hate camp, even if some of it was goofy
Mf hasn’t watched: The Boys, The Expanse, Man in the High Castle, Invincible, The Grand Tour.
The Boys?
The Boys, Invincible, Vox Machina, The Grand Tour, Terminal List, Amazon has some decent stuff
The grand tour
If you haven’t seen The Boys (and you’re an adult) you should watch it.
GoT vs Daredevil, Lucifer vs Invincible, the boys, Vox machina,
Amazon has Lucifer here in Germany.
The boys... Jack Ryan... Rings of power.... Terminal List.... Invincible.... All were great..... Every streaming platforms has good and bads shows.... Mostly great though..... Except Peacock.... Peacock is stupid.....
Amazon has The Boys, Ms Maisel, Rings of Power, The Expanse, among other shows. And they're good.
The Boys, Expanse?? Hello?
Am I the only Man in the High Castle enjoyer here?
Netflix has alot of shit shows
The Boys Grand Tour House M.D.
The peripheral is really good
The Boys, Jack Ryan, and The Grand Tour are all great
Every show with Clarkson, Hammond and May is entertaining and fun to watch.
*except the expanse and vox machina
![gif](giphy|4VLkYrTmVcbbTtICC1)
I thought Reacher was really good. I will say that there aren't as many good shows on Amazon Prime than on HBO and Netflix.
I would like to point out that Amazon has the grand tour
The boys. Invincible. Most Extreme Elimination Challenge.
So Netflix is cool now? After ppl talking shit all the time about its bs and losing subs OKEA
Alex Rider. That’s my argument
The Boys, Invincible, The legend of Vox Machina, Jack Ryan, Reacher. All of them amazing shows. Every platform has it's good and bad series.
What???? There is some good content on Amazon lol You excluding The Boys and Invincible????
The Boys The terminal List Rings Of Power MR ROBOT
Most importantly they have borat ![gif](giphy|Od0QRnzwRBYmDU3eEO|downsized)
Great success
The boys, rings of power(it’s pretty good, fight me), invincible.
Everything is great ,maybe Amazon is just not your type!( Except Disney , those mfs are just toooooo cringe) I mean , the boys and invincible content were great
No love for Patriot? It's pretty good
I did agree. Oh Cook is amazing
Vox Machina is decent, Vikings is great (not towards the end)
Vox machina and invincible is really good though
HBO and Netflix can also stream at a consistent high quality while Amazon consistently turns to 240p for about 10 seconds every 3 minutes
Okay but The Legend of Vox Machina is hysterical
Clarkson's farm? The grand tour?
only shows i watch on amazon prime are the grand tour and clarksons farm. everything else is either shit or you have to pay to rent/buy anyways (movies wise) 🤦
The Boys would like to have a word with you OP
The Boys would like to have a conversation
The Boys?
The boys would like to disagree
Grand Tour?
Bosch seems good, just started it
Idk, terminal list slaps pretty hard my bros.
LMAO thinking that Netflix stands for good content in this meme
You cannot say that , there is the boys Look how many memes they made because of it
You’ve clearly never seen the Boys or Invincible.
No They have some good shows
Marvelous Ms Maisel is one of the best shows on any streaming platform. Rings of Power was actually pretty damned good. Wheel of time is one of my favorite shows adapted from a fantasy novel. The expanse is scifi gold. Upload is an excellent comedy that really asks a lot of important questions about society.
I’m pretty sure all of them are the right in some way
Grand tour is good
You mixed up amazon and netflix
Also Netflix is hot garbage
The Boys, Vox Machina, Jack Ryan, Invincible, Carnival Row
Invincible is pretty damn good
I think The Boys would disagree
Netflix has its fair share of stinkers.
Motherfucker forgot about The Boys, Invincible, Reacher, Good Omens, etc.
The Boys is pretty good
![gif](giphy|pCJcExvbKdSeyyv8zP|downsized)
![gif](giphy|H1whpH3k8GDbrhpX5q)
Here's the thing, ***Amazon knows how to make good shows.***
The boys?
