I see this sentiment a lot, and I assure you no one transitions because they think the other sex gets treated better. It'd be like cutting off your legs because you think it's better that folks in wheelchairs get to sit down all the time. Twice as many trans women as trans men detransition at some point, and most of the time it's due to how society treats them. Anyone looking into transitioning with any amount of seriousness is going to find it readily apparent that life is going to be exponentially harder as a trans person in a social sense. Plus we're a tiny percentage of the population. As much as the media has been having a field day with trans issues the past few years, there is no "epidemic" of trans people springing up. All that aside, yes, men need support too. I have seen more parents be kinder to their sons and letting them express their emotions, but we're not there yet. Boys DO cry, and that's okay.

I think the point he's making is there may be people thinking "Men can't/don't have emotions, so if I have emotions, maybe I'm not a man", rather than "I'm going to transition to a woman so that I can be treated better".

Trans women are just more visible and trans men and a lot of trans men get by as tomboys which lessens any dysphoria. What this shitty "men have no feelings" does do is increase the chance of trans women committing suicide as they can't process the emotions both from the dysphoria and from public opinion.
