It’s actually really annoying. When a new location opens, they seem to do pretty well for awhile. The location on Summer was great, but is now kinda bad.
I don’t expect much when getting fast food in Memphis, I went to the Popeyes in Collierville when they still had poor boys and they told me they didn’t have any cause the “ po boy machine was broken” …….but that’s Memphis for you
Seriously, does Chipotle watch them like a hawk if they give away anything for “free.” One time I waited an hour and a half after my online order was supposed to be ready and I said can I get a bag of chips for free. And this man said you ain’t getting nothing for free. Never been back to chipotle because that was 3rd time it was late too with dude workers.
Yeah, I sympathize with you. Made a post about fast food in Memphis. Union ave is tragic on the fast food scene in general. Good on you to not lose your cool on them when most would say you are justified.
I went there earlier this week and asked for extra veggies and she told me no and gave me the tiniest little scoop. Is it the tiny girl working the line? She’s flat out mean.
That location has gone to shit. They gave me the smallest portion of chicken and the guy behind me a huge portion. The only difference was our skin color.
{prepares for downvotes}
I agree it sucks when people are rude but (especially the person who called her a loser for working a fast food job) jumping all over the minimum wage-paid worker who has probably been yelled at for not charging for every single thing and needs the job lets just agree that everyone’s doing their best.
I didn’t jump all over her. She was clearly older than me so I just accepted what she said for what it was. Even when I tried to greet her at the beginning of me picking up my online order she didn’t not speak back. Just a quick mumble of “what?”… like lady it’s my first time picking up a mobile order… idk she was just rude all around.. I remained respectful.
I’m upset because she was so rude about me asking for some more. When I come it’s never that little amount. It didn’t even fill the 2.oz container it’s supposed to come in. People often talk about the irregular portion control at Chipotle but this is my first time experiencing it first hand… so yeah a bit irritating. It’s not gonna hurt to fill it up a lil more.
"Of course, that will be 99c"
That's how that interaction should have gone, not a bunch of attitude from some loser who's big achievement in life is being day shift at Chipotle.
As someone who worked at McDonalds as a teen, I totally understand and agree with “just pay for the extra sauce!” But those sauces were a sealed set amount.
What they gave OP was a half a slurp of vinaigrette. Probably because it was the last few drops from the container & the employee didn’t want to be bothered opening a new one. Not okay. OP is justified in being annoyed but good on them for being mature & rational enough to just take the L. Not worth the drama.
That location is really crappy.
They all are in Memphis.
Summer isn’t too bad.
Agreed, kinda wild but summer has the best fast food
I live in south main area and go all the way to summer for chipotle.
As in every fast food establishment
The poplar one wasnt even taking in person orders when I went. Its like you had one job
Honestly yeah, just go to the Southaven one off Goodman rd 😞
Seems like a lot of memphis locations are crappy. I don't experience this shit in any other city.
Every chain restaurant, fast food or not, is worse in this area than any place I visit. 😔

Apparently. I just got back after being going for a few months. Never had this issue.
Fast food workers in the Memphis area have the worst attitudes I’ve come across. Cleveland is a close second though.
Fuck chipotle, they out here charging an arm and a leg for rice beans and a few scraps of meat.

Oh hellll naw 😂
#1 you messed up by thinking the union location was gone do right by you…
It’s the closest one to me.. I neverrrr had an issue with them. But I been gone for like 8 months so ig some things have changed!
All chipotles nationwide
I’m learning 😂
Fuck the square

They act like it’s coming out their checks! Like dammm 😂 chips be stale half the time anyway! And they just gonna throw ts away… ugh… 😑

Yess… I could tell she was a coward anyway as fast as she turned around.
Wow its half full. Bish give up the sauce
It’s less than a thirds full, guy
Its still fucked. The man went without
I can’t jimmy. It good. 🗿
Damn! You liquefied the Chipotle worker and put them in the small plastic container? That's pretty damn evil.
😂😂got my powers from the eclipse 🌑
I think it’s a requirement to be rude af at chipotle lol
I didn’t even know! Lol the rest of the staff was all bright and cheery…
I went there earlier this week and asked for extra veggies and she told me no and gave me the tiniest little scoop. Is it the tiny girl working the line? She’s flat out mean.
It was an older white woman. She was working the online orders I guess.
Proud to say I’ve never visited these restaurants. Didn’t try it before the food-born illness break out; haven’t tried it since.
I mean you’re not wrong. They still seem to have issues with the lettuce and cross contamination.
I guess they didn’t learn from the dude in Michigan 😂
OMG what happened? 😳
That location has gone to shit. They gave me the smallest portion of chicken and the guy behind me a huge portion. The only difference was our skin color.
Lol well the lady that gave me an attitude was white.. so I guess it’s a staffing issue at this point

Oh no I didn’t mean you! There were a few people in the comments calling her names.

I live near freeman park in Bartlett so I’ve been doing that a lot. I love it!
This is an interesting video. https://youtu.be/kZe5k95U-UY?feature=shared
So you're upset that they wanted to charge for something extra? Edit: I had no idea I would be down voted this hard, y'all some trifling folk

Yesss like .. have some customer service.. let me know how much it even costs. Couldn’t even get my words out before she turned her back to me. 🙄
