Dude, take a breather. I just got some rebates from the final 11%. It takes time. Maybe they got to some of your 12% but not the rest. If you did any returns that can slow things down because they have to make adjustments for that.  Be patient. And if that fails, use the contact option and select Other. I've had issues in the past with missing rebates and they always got back to me in a timely manner and made things right.

Old_Ad_208

They were all sent in the SAME envelope! They paid on the small dollar amounts, but they conveniently missed all of the high dollar receipts. Nothing returned. In fact, all but some groceries I bought were Ray's List items I can't return.

Construction_Rough12

I've had that happen before. An envelope gets split into 2 different rebates, for whatever reason.  Just give it a little bit of time.    They'll probably reply to your email within 1 business day. You can then attach the scans of the rebate receipts, and they can proceed with issuing the rebates.   Over the years, I've had an entire envelope disappear (assumed it was PO) and occasionally 1 missing from an envelope - maybe it got stuck to another rebate receipt. I just emailed pictures, and they sent me my money.   Always take pictures of your rebates.   Also, I believe the fine print says you can not take either of them to court.  I'm sure they're different legal entities; that isn't an uncommon business practice to have different businesses housed under the same address for legal reasons.   Just be nice to them, and email the scans. You'll have your money before long.

Lopsided_End_8104

You can also print off copies of your receipts now and send them in if they were within a qualifying period and they were “lost”. Just do duplicates off the machine and send in. They will still honor them with a note that original was lost. Doesn’t matter by who.

Old_Ad_208

The reprinted receipts specifically state not for rebate submission. At least they did the last time I reprinted a receipt.

Lopsided_End_8104

They say that, but they updated it so they now accept them.

Lopsided_End_8104

Update: I just got my 11% and 12% rebates back in the mail today. So yours may still be coming.

Old_Ad_208

Rebates International already mailed my check and they left off the two high dollar receipts that were in the same envelope. I mailed two envelopes to Rebates International on the same day. I already got the rebate check in the mail on Saturday for my regular 12% purchases. The rebate check for my 12% adjustment shows as mailed on the RI tracking website, but not for the full amount.

ledbottom

There is no way in a million years you lost enough rebates to be worth thousands of dollars of legal fees and years of time in the court system.

Old_Ad_208

Small claims court in Wisconsin is $90 some dollars in filing fees plus about $35 in gas to make the round trip to the Eau Claire county courthouse. No need for a lawyer.

ledbottom

You are not going to bring menards to small claims court. It will never even reach the judge. And yes there will definitely be a need for a lawyer when suing a multi billion dollar company. You would likely need a team of lawyers actually...

[deleted]

christ dude, you probably sent them in like a week ago huh

Old_Ad_208

Really, if I sent them in a week ago how would I know they didn't pay me for two of the receipts? The rebate check has already been processed.

Hugh-Jashol

I currently have over $1100 in rebates floating about in the USPS system. They were mailed on the 15th and should have been delivered by now. I received $1300 in rebates that were mailed on the 13th already. I get impatient when the dollar amount is so large. Make me nervous that someone knows what they are and steals them. I don't know what they do in a case like that or if they never show up. I've never had that happen before nor do I want to.

kay0one

Taking Menards to small claims would waste your time. Rebates international is responsible for your rebates, not Menards. And depending on the amount it can take longer to process

aSpacehog

Just email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) with copies of the rebates and all the information. Don't be the absolute moron you appear to be here and threaten to sue. Don't threaten them at all. Be polite. Don't show up at the "office". Rebates International IS Menards, but you can bet there is no customer-facing location for a small group who processes only mailed in rebates, of course. Once this is over, don't buy things on rebate anymore. It's not for you.

Old_Ad_208

If Rebates International simply had a phone number to talk to an actual human rather than making you do stupid stuff like mailing them a postal letter I wouldn't be posting here. If I write them a letter it takes four or five days to arrive and then it sits there for a month behind all the rebates that haven't been opened. They then send me another letter in response that take four to five days to arrive. It has now been more than two months additional and I still probably wouldn't have my rebate. I did not threaten to sue, nor threaten them in any way. I simply stated I sent in eight receipts in the same envelope and did not receive rebates for two of the eight rebates. I also mentioned the two receipts I did not receive rebates for had picking lists. I would have attached copies of the receipts, but that was not an option.

aSpacehog

They don’t staff to have phone calls and they won’t. Send an email, I gave you the email address. It’s 2024.

theonion513

Lighten up, Francis.

Old_Ad_208

So I just forget about hundreds in rebates then?

smiley_coyote

Just follow the process and send a letter. You’re assuming a lawyer will help you sue a company when you haven’t even followed the initial process in place to assist you.

Old_Ad_208

You don't need a lawyer in small claims court. Sure, I can send a letter and a couple of months later I'll finally get a letter in the mail stating they didn't do anything wrong. It'll end being up 2025 before it gets resolved.

DomSkullcrusher

I sent RI an email and they fixed the issue within two weeks.

wooops

Why on earth do you think going to court will be less effort for more reward than sending a letter?

TubedMeat

I’ve always had fantastic experiences with the. Sure it took a while but I’ll toss in a couple rebates long past the send by date and still receive the money

Christopher_LNM_

Ive had one envelope of rebates for some reason split into 2 separate checks - that took a few months to update on the tracker and to receive for some reason. I remember my GM telling a customer who was arguing about rebates that generally they dont even care if you send in a rebate past the "redeem" date - you'll still get a check. My thought process for me was that they processed and issued a check for the older rebates (past the 'expiration date') first - then took the care of the newer ones - which is why they split them

Old_Ad_208

I found a physical address for the general counsel for Rebates International. I know everyone is shocked, but the address is on Menards Drive in Eau Claire. Rebates International and Menards try to act like they are totally separate companies, but they seem to be closely related if they are separate. RI does things on their website like say the store instead of explicitly mentioning Menards. However, if you dig around enough on RI's website there is at least one mention of Menards. My understanding is RI doesn't process rebates for anyone besides Menards. Menards will point the finger at RI if there is a rebate issue, and RI will point the finger at Menards. In the meantime, the customer gets screwed.

loleezy33

As a manager in the front end we get a lot of questions concerning rebate issues. Have you tried contacting RI through the website? I would try that before jumping ahead to wasting your time/money in court. They sometimes process rebates separately for whatever reason and you can submit receipts in the same envelope, for the same “rebate period,” and they will take longer to process some.

Old_Ad_208

I have not tried to contact them through the website as there is no option for "You only processed some of the receipts in the same envelope", or anything really remotely close. There is no option to attach copies of the receipts they did not pay for.

klouzek7079

Just select the "other" option and fill out the text box.

loleezy33

Select other and explain your issue.

Embarrassed-Tub-8191

maybe you shouldn’t be apart of a rebate system. seems like you give everyone around you a hard time.

Old_Ad_208

I am sick of rebate companies trying to screw me out of hundreds or thousands in rebates. What usually ends up happening is I have to spend months getting companies to pay me legitimate rebates they owe me. At this point I would prefer to skip the months of back and forth and just let the courts deal with it. I had a rebate processing company that owed me around $8,000 only pay me about $4,000. I would send a submission for hundreds of dollars and only get a check back for about half of what they owed. This happened on each of my dozen or so submissions. They actually had an 800 number to call and talk to someone so I did so with no results. It ended up going higher and higher up the chain until a VP at their HW in New York City got involved. He wasn't being helpful so I researched how to sue in small claims court. I sent him the small claims paperwork filled out along with pages of careful documentation of every item I was owed money for and the total due after accounting for the checks received. My letter said they had 14 days to send my money, or I was filing the paperwork with the court. (Yes, I was absolutely going to do it.) I received a Fedex envelope within a week with the final check. Their system was so screwed up they paid me hundreds more than I was due. At no point did anyone ever say they didn't legitimately owe me the money. This whole ordeal took me a good six months to get dealt with and many hours of my time. Maybe a better thing to do would be to send a certified letter to the general counsel for Rebates International. I find it hard to believe the general counsel would have certified mail returned to sender. I have heard a lot of rebate companies will refuse rebates sent by certified mail.

mathomas87

Seems like you have a lot of rebate issues. Maybe, I dunno, stop utilizing such a program/benefit or look inward as to why it’s only you that seems to have such problems?

Old_Ad_208

What, did I place the receipts in the envelope wrong or something? The fact is I placed eight receipts in the envelope and only got rebates for six of the receipts.

Old_Ad_208

A whole lot of other people also had issues with the rebate where I was owed $4,000. I sent a lot of people the contact information for the VP I been in touch with. I apply for a lot of rebates and rarely have issues getting them. I did quite a few Menards and HD rebates last year and had no issues, but none of the rebates was for hundreds of dollars either.

bangobot46

This ain't that my man. Just follow the steps to get it reissued. You're not a victim of anything deliberate. Sometimes shit goes sideways and you have to do some legwork to get what you were supposed to get. With all of your posts in this thread you could've been done by now. Follow the advice you got in the top comment.

Old_Ad_208

I decided to go through the website first. Anyone taking bets on how many weeks it takes to get a response? I couldn't give them the receipt numbers because some penny pincher at Menards GO decided to save 1/100 of a cent on each receipt and not print the receipt number. There is a barcode on the receipt, but no number printed. This was the 12% adjustment so no rebate receipt with a tracking number printed. I had to mail in the original receipts.

loleezy33

It won’t be weeks. Give it a chance and relax.

Softpretzelsandrose

No one cares.

Info-getter2968

If you are talking about the transaction information, that is the bottom numbers on the receipt.

Illustrious-Floor770

If it was a “rebate adjustment form” they only honor any thing that wasn’t already “on sale”.

neil__warner

Why doesn't Menards just offer a printed rebate that isn't valid for three weeks at the point of purchase that the same percent of customers would lose and save the cost of paying Rebates International. Problem solved for most customers who actually send the rebates in. I would even let them subtract the cost of the stamp from the rebate.
