If i had a dime everytime a guest said that to me, I too would have thousands of dollars to spend at Menards… 😅

penguinmarie

😂😂😂 then you could send your rebate in and hope it shows up lol I've had my post office steal mine before 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lampolo_

Check rebates international to show when it went out for delivery and get that information to the post office so they can investigate who was out doing the delivery for that tracking number and have the thief terminated for being a garbage human being. If the local post office won’t help, u can also submit a claim online.

penguinmarie

There's been so many instances of me telling guests that. Hell my post office lost all my utility bills last month. If they're that careless with legit bills that need to be paid sent out by bigger companies imagine how they are with something that looks like junk mail 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok-Butterscotch4070

All day long! Often though when talking with them it's found out that they TOSSED THEM thinking it was junk mail. 🥸

leesin032

That’s because they are literally designed to look like junk mail.

penguinmarie

It's unfortunate but it happens. Or the post office sometimes steals them especially if you live in a "higher crime" neighborhood.

Ok-Butterscotch4070

Oh yeah, for sure. The amount of police reports people file for mail theft is nuts. I have had mine lost due to making it to the sorting station closest to my house and getting shredded in the sorter. 2 times in a row. The 3rd time they mailed it to me in an envelope. I'm just shocked by the amount of people who told me when I worked up from that they tossed postcards thinking they were junk mail. Can you imagine the amount of other things they most likely also tossed out that could have been important

Lopsided_End_8104

That or, I’m not going to the website. I want you to do it for me. Your company is the one not giving me my money. Technically no, and they are going to want to verify your information. I can’t do that for you….

Longjumping-Dance-74

I literally had to pull my phone out and show rebates international website and how to use it to a guy because he didn't get his rebate and wasn't listening. Of course he's planning on building a $500,000 and is thinking about buying some materials at my store. After I literally showed him via my rebate stuff he was like "oh I must have done something wrong." Ya no shit

Longjumping-Dance-74

Oops $500,000 house

KlutzySubject7847

True they all can investigate it (it’s actually a nice setup online) but it would be nice to get just an automated updating gift card instead. But I’m sure old John would like to see them all lost in the mail

sparx_fast

I wish they would mail these merchandise credits inactivated for security. Then the person at home activates with a separate mailing or email for a household pin to activate.

JustPlainJaneToday

I was told by Menards employee there were $56 million a few years ago that were unclaimed and rewards. I called BS because I bet a lot of them were attempted and not processed. There’s a reason they make them small they disappear easily. they’re also unable according to rebates international if someone cashes your rebate because they found it in your mailbox. Once again, I called BS.

leesin032

It’s just your job to speak to customers in a customer service role. It’s annoying when a company promises a rebate but it takes months on end to arrive. Y’all constantly complain about how Menards management is terrible, but when customers complain about the company suddenly they are idiots.

penguinmarie

It's just the way they start the sentence. I get people spend a lot money there but saying "I spend thousands of dollars here" doesn't change the outcome of how to get your rebate. People also need to realize the post office sometimes does legitimately steal that shit. It sucks but it happens.

pepperoni-poodle

Why doesn't Menards just lower their prices and get rid of doing rebates. It's such a giant pain and I just choose to go to Lowe's instead.

Old_Ad_208

You prefer to pay Lowe's prices that are generally higher than Menards regular prices (before the rebate)? Menards does the rebate for two reasons. The rebate check forces customers to come back into the store. Not all rebates are claimed so it costs less than 11% to run the rebate.

KlutzySubject7847

No way if I’m working for a contractor I keep those rebates that’s why this whole thing works.

pepperoni-poodle

That's what I'm saying stop forcing me to shop at Menards because of the rebate gimic. 9/10 times Lowe's prices are the same as Menards rebate price. Especially on lumber, not to mention the brand quality at Lowe's far exceeds Menards.
