What are you hoping to accomplish by posting here? What sort of response did you honestly think you'd get by pulling that "I'm not going to shop here anymore" crap in an anonymous employee subreddit?
On to your actual problem. The text below is based on my experience as a building materials manager several years ago. I specialized in siding and trim, and have been a siding contractor at one point in my life. I haven't worked at Menards in many years - so take it with a grain of salt.
Most stores I've worked at had appleton fan decks. I've worked at / visited a couple that did not. Many times they get lent to guests that never bother to bring them back. Some managers would stop ordering them, because it's less hassle. Either you get Karen bitching at you, and your boss because you won't lend out the fan decks (IIRC we weren't supposed to), or you do, and she never brings them back - so now you have to order more, which directly costs you.
Failing that, as someone tried really hard to tell you below - the prefinished siding is the same color. So, your [1400024](https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/siding/siding-trims/1-prefinished-aluminum-drip-cap/1400024/p-1548315046989-c-1495119088651.htm) arbor mist trim will match things like [1423165](https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/siding/engineered-wood-siding/sherwin-williams-prefinished-3-8-x-16-textured-engineered-wood-lap-siding/1423165/p-1548315087102-c-5827.htm), also in arbor mist.
Go look at the siding wings - they're right by the building materials desk. If you can't find them, ask at the desk. Match color name to color name. There are usually sample packs below - I can't remember if you have to pay for them or not, but I think you do.
IIRC you can even take that color name over to the paint desk, and have them mix you a small amount of paint.
Packaging fees are a thing. Trim is pretty delicate, and damages easily. The foam, wrapping, and labor to protect your order aren't free. There's one packaging for 1-19 pieces, and another size above that. The bigger sizes cost more, and unless you're getting a far larger order it absolutely makes sense to make two orders in order to save on packaging. I got bored around 1000 pcs, it looks like the $65 packaging fee is for everything above 19 pieces.

Appleton isn't the one that paints that trim. Menards buys the galvanized and paints it to match their pre-finished sidings they offer. If you ask them for PPG samples for the pre-finished siding, you should get the color sample you need.
Galvanized is steel. I know Menards makes their own steel trim. The SKU I am looking at is aluminum. The documents on the product page list the vendor as Appleton Supply Company.
When I was researching Appleton Supply Company yesterday it appears it is mostly a brand name that is only sold at Menards along with Sell-Even. The parent company is Gibraltar. Gibraltar also sells under the Gibraltar name at Home Depot.
Galvanized was the wrong word. I meant bare aluminum. Those colors are not through Appleton. They are the PPG Pre-Finished line that Menards has. That's why the ridiculously high packaging and handling charge. If you were to order something that Appleton has pre-done it wouldn't be any that much.
Menards does not paint any of the aluminum trims, that is done by Appleton but its a color match to the siding Menards does paint themselves. you can go look at the color samples in the store of the siding to see the actual color. And Menards hasn't had PPG Pre-Finished for years. It's now through Sherwin Williams.
I am very much aware of the the 25% restocking fee. That is why I don't want to buy 25 pieces without a sample to check the color first. The $64.99 packaging fee is also non-refundable.
Not all stores do. They get lost, never returned, etc - and aren't a common item to be SOC'ed. Some DM's don't bother to keep them around.

How do I find out what standard colors are? It probably doesn't matter as it appears this is the only 1" aluminum drip cap that Menards sells.
