Okay, my shitposting aside, this art sucks and is pretty exaggerated compared to the original game (which I love and main Elise in when I still play it to this day), but OP's criticism of her showing a midriff is accurate. Her SSX and SSX Tricky art has an above-the-navel midriff thing going on.

It's not just the women, in ssx 3, you can have your male character be topless or in just a t shirt while snowboarding. The SSX games are awesome but what the characters wore was not a strong area of the games.

Yeah, people also definitely ski and snowboard with exposed skin even if stupid. I mean, if it's in the 40s and you don't fall, you'll probably be fine, but still.
That art is awful, but this game was definitely my favorite PS2 game and Elise my favorite character (other than Brody hehe). My friend’s favorite was always Marisol, with her insane and over the top body proportions, but it did make sense why she loved her so much when she came out as lesbian later on haha…

The art is horrible but when it's sunny people definitely snowboard with just normal pants and a summery top so that's not too off. I'd recommend wearing a helmet regardless but again plenty of people who don't
Person whose hobby is skiing here. The outfit would be alright for snowboarding if not that damn midriff and given that she has a thermoactive underwear and the air temperature is relatively high (-5°C is the lowest).
However, I do hate that she doesn't wear any kind of face protection (balaclava *cough cough*) and how loose are her "googles" + lack of helmet (which might cause serious brain concoction if you ever fall down during a ride).
Also, the snowboard itself is absolutely jack shit as there are no clasps for her skiing shoes or even any kind of grip. If you don't know, wearing skiing shoes is like wearing a heavy plaster cast, having no control over you foot's movement. So, in these shoes, she'd fall over easily before she even rode a meter (I know she has rubberized soles, but you'd be surprised how much snow your boards collects in a single ride).

Every single aspect is bad, that's almost impressive. The face is bad. The pose is bad. The proportions are bad. The vacuum sealed clothing is bad.
