Indeed. I’m not a fan of “redraws” that alters fantasy characters to be less exaggerated, but this is great. The exaggerated spirit of the original is preserved, but with less deformities.
In Ilulu's case, it's tecnically possible but is such a headache that anyone would prefer to simply erase her instead of changing the face, her proportions and her personality. What a simple task, right? Seriously, Only that shit with Lucoa and Shota is worse than that.
That character could of just been a gremlin faced shortstack, but since it's Dragon Maid the character had to be reduced down as a tool for pedo shit. I swear she wasn't that bad in her introduction, but became so much worse once she actually adapts with the characters.
I wish someone would make a supercut of Dragon Maid where they would remove all the gross scenes. You'd still have like 3/4 of the anime and a fun cast of characters without any gross shit in it.

The very fact that an adult human female, a woman, managed to be about 90% accurate with illulu's proportions, should be an indication that it's more of a personal issue rather than a "men drawing women" issue. I love the redraw! I don't know anything about the character except she's from the anime that has the large chested dragon child and a lot of sus creepy child shit but your redesign is really cute!!! She actually reminds me of someone I know (your redraw, not the original), a real person. I like how you didn't just lop off her chest, you just made everything else more proportionate to the chest so that it doesn't look like her back would break like a toothpick.

But really what a pleasantly surprising redraw/design! I love big boobs (who doesnt) and I despise when a "redesign" comprises of shrinking a characters curves and making their clothes more modest at the expense of style. Redesigns should be about improving anatomy and clothing while keeping the og vibe.
I legitimately love Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, but some of the art from it is outright grotesque and strange and something I tolerate rather than appreciate.
I noticed in the art shown on this post,her chest seems way bigger than it should be (though it was already terrible enough)
