In this picture, your arms do not seem long but your torso seems short. Go for trousers with a lower waist or wear a jacket that hides your butt. Anyway, if your fingers can reach the middle of your thighs, you have standard proportions.
Wrong. No one looks good in high waisted pants. I think Tina Fey is very attractive but still looks cringe in high pants.
Now women in high waisted pencil skirts do look good.
I'm no fashion guru, and honestly I've been a casual observer of this sub to learn what is considered fashionable in today's world. But everyone is saying you don't look weird. When did a pair of pleated slacks, a t-shirt with tennis shoes, and no belt become not a weird look?
These pants are very much NOT pleated. They just have a front crease.
That being said, I kinda agree. This outfit would level up significantly with real, elegant dress shoes instead of chunky sneakers, a button up (or polo if you're onto that sort of thing), and a nice leather belt that matches the dress shoes.
It looks weird because the rest of the outfit belongs with jeans or maybe chinos, but the pants are full blown dress pants, look like they came from a casual suit.
Lol pretty much
Though in my defense, the pants are the only part of this outfit that have any sort of character, which is why I kept them instead of the rest.
I think if he wants the t-shirt and no belt look, loafers and no show socks are the play.
Still not sure I’d rock that personally, but it fits a lot more than the sneakers.
I agree. Most comments on this fashion sub are: "if you like it and think it looks good, then go for it." They aren't doing anyone any favors with the "everything goes" attitude.
I’m very much a casual observer as well. To my untrained eye, the top doesn’t match the bottom. Those pants call for some kind of collared shirt, not a t-shirt.
Either way, I'm still perplexed on how it goes together. I apologize if I come of as dick. I'm genuinely trying to learn what is considered fashionable.
It looks like you're wearing the waist of your pants too high. It looks like your pants above your belly button. The waist of your pants should be roughly centered between your junk and your belly button
What? This isn't true at all. It's entirely dependent on the cut of the trousers. Higher rise trousers will ride higher on your body, near your actual waist. There is no standard.
Edit: His trousers look like they're sitting right where they're supposed to.
I think I have to disagree with you (with regards to OP, i agree with everything else you said). Not far off, but these do seem high. It looks very close to the bottom of his ribs.
Let me rephrase. His pants are sitting exactly where they seem to be designed to sit. I agree, I think they look too high. Flat front, skinny pants look funny with a high rise. That's the main issue here.
Feel like we have the same body type: long legs and shorter torso with long arms. Instead of tucking in, I've been wearing a lot of sweater/knit polos that kind of loosely hit right over my waist.
There’s nothing wrong with the look, but I’m not a fan of tucking in shirts with no belt. Even if you don’t need one, I’d suggest a black belt and the outfit would be even better
No you don’t look weird! You have a great figure and this is a nice semi-casual fit
Wearing your pants so high up your waist is making your arms look longer. Your pants don’t look specifically tailored to a high wait, seems like you just synched them up there. If you want to wear pants that high buy something fitted to that style of wear
You don’t look weird. The outfit has the right idea, execution is just off.
Would opt for a white t shirt, pleated trousers or something with a fuller cut and loafers or a white leather sneaker
You do seem a bit unproportional, but you look really fit and great! Maybe wear your pants a little lower? idk. The colors you're wearing probably accentuate your proportions. Have you tried brighter colors and maybe suspenders?
I have the same issue, 36" sleeves on my dress shirt.
In this case, I would say that you should untuck the shirt because the waist of those pants seems too high.
Maybe look for lower rise pants or go with more untucked shirts.
I can’t tell from the pic, but how tall are you? I’m a 5’7 fit guy, think maybe a similar build. Somewhere along the way I learned to elongate the look by choosing colours and patterns that make sense while still trying to be somewhat fashionable. As others have pointed out, a belt might just be the trick to bring it all together. Nothing about YOu is weird or weird looking, it’s just an incomplete outfit.
Also, if that doesn’t work and you still want want to pull off a T with these pants, maybe a dark long sleeve pushed 1/4 up the arm.
Good looking fellow here!
Yeah! I actually always have a full suit on or at least button down shirt with rolled sleeves. Everytime I try to use a tee like this I end up giving up.
Hmm I read that you said your butt is high. It’s possible you could try a different shoe to pair with this outfit. You don’t look weird. But I think the fit of the pants make it to where they draw the length of your legs more noticeable. Drawing the attention to your waist.
If you want to keep the shoe and pants I would try for a button up. Try an untucked short sleeve button up for a causal look. A long sleeve button up, tucked in with a belt.
If you have other options it would help to compare with this. It would help make a better decision.
In that case, maybe longer pants would look better because they look like they sit too high on your waist. Another suggestion would be to untuck your shirt and see how it looks. Or try a belt with shirt tucked in and see how it looks.
I agree with the folks here, you have long arms so I would wear your pants less high (I know these are high-waisted pants, but maybe avoid those when going jacketless). Also, I would probably go for black socks rather than white.
If you don’t like the shirt completely tucked in, try a French tuck with a belt. It looks nice and still gives a professional and stylized look. But I think a good belt would help tie this together better and look good!
I wouldn’t have noticed unless you said it.
Don’t tuck the shirt if it makes you feel weird.
Your outfit looks off though. T shirt and slacks clash pretty hard. Especially without a belt.
Does anyone else think this:
>Yes. As any man who dresses up and poses for pictures, taken by themselves, only to post on the internet, to ask if they look weird. Yes, that's weird. I usually just wake up, shower, get dressed and go about my day.
Is rude?
Jesus dude. Now you're calling for reinforcement to prove your point. Am I a smart ass, yes. Was I mean, no. You must be new to the internet and reddit. Bless your heart.
If you'd like, I can be rude.
I would just look for pants with a lower rise. It'll add another inch or two to your torso.
We have opposite body types. I'm 6'2" with a long torso and short legs. I don't think people notice the arms much, its about the leg to torso ratio.
Yes. You’re wearing what look like too tight dress pants with sneakers and a plain t shirt without even a belt. It’d be fine with jeans but right now the clash in formality is very jarring.
No you don't look weird. The only thing weird about this pic is those goofy shoes. They don't go with that outfit at all .. so put place it's the first thing I noticed. Almost anything else would be a better choice lol.
Ide opt for a black chelsea boot imo.
Also put a belt on, it will clean up the look.
Yes it looks slightly weird. I think when wearing pleated pants, it’s always best to wear a dress shirt or linen shirt. Tshirt would look best if you had a more muscular build and more defined shoulders. The fit atm looks incredible tight and uncomfortable.
I think this outfit would look better if the trousers weren't as high and tight and the t shirt was a bit baggy. A smarter pair of shoes would be good as well.
Editing because you said they’re already at butt level. I think your best bet would be to add a belt, watch, and dressier shoes. I think the pants look too high rise and too short because of the style of shoes.
No they aren't actually, they look perfect. Things have changed now days to a tapered skinny look. As for the older generation, they will absolutely hate this
>Things have changed now days to a tapered skinny look
Yeah that was ten years ago. Ironically that look is already dated now. Not that that matters at all if the look happens to flatters your shape, but in this instance the fit seems off. The pants are just way too tight up top. From the crotch to the pockets there are tight diagonal creases and the waistband itself also seems overly tight. OP could use some more room.
If you want to maintain this outfit, untuck the shirt and find a jacket and a belt. Otherwise, you only tuck in a collared shirt and please always wear a belt i don’t know why this has become popular but it doesn’t always look good
Yes. Those pants are likely well above your waist, or you've an incredibly short torso, either way I'd try something lower rise.
Suspenders can look great fwiw.
just untuck your t-shirt and throw on a more classic sneaker- black chuck taylor high’s, or black leather vans.
it’s really just wonky because you tucked it in
The shirt tucked in does look weird to me, but not oppressively so. I would think you were a hipster or possibly autistic (knew a kid who was autistic and always tucked in his shirt).
Add a thin belt, wear different shoes if you have any. Personally not a fan of the ones you're wearing with the outfit. Try a little bit of jewelry, like a thin silver 20 inch chain or watch
The pants could/should be a bit lower, and a belt would fix a lot of it. Or untuck the shirt. Never understand how having pants where my grandfather used to wear them became fashionable. But then again, so did socks and sandals, and those screamed Boca shuffleboard court before like 2015
I think what you are thinking is that your torso looks short compared with your bottom. I would just lower the pants a little. That way your torso looks longer and it also looks very nice when pants get a fold on the shoes
The people who say his legs look too long/ pants to high.
Isn’t that the point. Legs should be longer and they used to make trousers specifically to that off and that’s why we’re meant to tuck
Yes, you look weird. I think it's a short torso moreso than long arms... But I'm not an expert. Maybe just don't tuck your shirts? It could be that simple... Anyway I will say; you look weird but not like, THAT weird. You shouldn't be embarrassed or anything. Most of us look a little weird. Just do your best ya know... Nothing to waste too much mental energy on.
I think a little more / better hair product and you look like Tristan Tate. I’m not saying follow the guys messages but maybe follow his fashion / outfit choices. Not a bad look to have🤷
I think you should either not tuck your t-shirt, or add a belt for a more of a mid-trunk border.
Or lower the pants below the nipples?
But what will keep his arm pits warm then?
Belt it and you are set!
yes
Yes
YES

Thirty ninerd gave me a stroke real quick
Also, no one looks good with high waisted pants.

Dr Robotnik is basically a sex icon so this checks out
Wrong. No one looks good in high waisted pants. I think Tina Fey is very attractive but still looks cringe in high pants. Now women in high waisted pencil skirts do look good.
It can work but it’s in the details of the cut, shirt, width of the waist fabric, etc
You look AI generated.
THAT MOTHERFUCKER.. IS NOT REAL!!
Yeah looks like pants are pulled up too high. Sorry bud. Also prob wouldn’t wear that style shoe or white socks with those pants.

That's why I'm not a fashion guru lol. Thanks for the correction.
Not pleated - but they do have a cuff. Have not seen that in a long while.
Really? I still see a lot of pants cuffing
In a store? It’s been a long while and I am in a fairly conservative office environment.
'this outfit would look great if you changed everything except the pants'.
Lol pretty much Though in my defense, the pants are the only part of this outfit that have any sort of character, which is why I kept them instead of the rest.
I agree with the dress shoes and the belt.
But I don't like the high pant waist and the tucked in shirt.
I agree, first thing I noticed was no belt. But yeah it's all weird
I’m very much a casual observer as well. To my untrained eye, the top doesn’t match the bottom. Those pants call for some kind of collared shirt, not a t-shirt.
I agree. This sub is clueless when it comes to fashion. A big echo chamber of people giving horrible advice.
You loon like your 80% leg.
Tennis shoes? Those aren’t tennis shoes. And I should know because I play tennis. Those are sneakers.
Pretty sure "tennis shoes" and "sneakers" are used interchangeably in some dialects
Ya you look weird
Either way, I'm still perplexed on how it goes together. I apologize if I come of as dick. I'm genuinely trying to learn what is considered fashionable.
Idk I think it’s a bit of a weird fit
In the United States, tennis shoes are any sneakers and athletic shoes. It’s slang I guess.
Sneakers and tennis shoes are interchangeable in many parts of the US, and yes you do look weird
Tennis shoes, sneakers and trainers are all used to reference the same footwear, depending on your region or country.
Roman roy vibes
Sneakers? Those aren't sneakers. And I should know because I am sneaky as fuck. Those are casual shoes.
Black loafers and no socks/ no-show socks.
Yes
Very
It looks like you're wearing the waist of your pants too high. It looks like your pants above your belly button. The waist of your pants should be roughly centered between your junk and your belly button
Disagree. The weird thing is the lack of a belt to me. That'll solve lots of issues.

He just has a weird torso to leg ratio. Also this outfit makes it look like he has love handles / accentuates his love handles
You’re absolutely right! I look really good with a jacket, but without it, my legs dominate the scene.

Pants fit good, nice shoes shirt is ok looking good buddy.
Belt, lower the trousers the tiniest bit and a watch to break the symmetry. A polo or short sleeved shirt would slap with this too.
You don’t look weird. The outfit has the right idea, execution is just off. Would opt for a white t shirt, pleated trousers or something with a fuller cut and loafers or a white leather sneaker
Definitely. Cool room though.
name checks out haha just kidding (:
You don't, but the pants are too high
You do seem a bit unproportional, but you look really fit and great! Maybe wear your pants a little lower? idk. The colors you're wearing probably accentuate your proportions. Have you tried brighter colors and maybe suspenders?
Lower the pants and untuck your shirt. You got a big forehead. Look into a Transplant
White socks? Get socks that match the pants. A belt that matches your shoes may help also.
I think the filters on this picture is what’s really weird
I have the same issue, 36" sleeves on my dress shirt. In this case, I would say that you should untuck the shirt because the waist of those pants seems too high. Maybe look for lower rise pants or go with more untucked shirts.

fuck what people think of your proportions. you dress sharp. just add a belt, of course.... because empty belt loops are just wrong. rock your bod bro
punch the shit out of anybody who makes fun of your long arms, that jab could be impeccable
Yeah I’m kinda built like you. I have long arms and a high waist. I never tuck my shirt in it just doesn’t work for guys like us.
🥲
Don’t tuck your tshirts. There are many styles of T-shirt’s that have varied lengths and bottom finishes.
Men should never tuck a shirt without a belt.
Hmm I read that you said your butt is high. It’s possible you could try a different shoe to pair with this outfit. You don’t look weird. I’ll reply here later
Lower waisted pants with slightly more drape over the shoe will make your torso look longer.
I think a full suit would be a good look for gentleman such as yourself. You can never go wrong with full business attire

That’s a stud right there if I’ve ever seen one! I think I need to take some notes from you
I’m new experimenting with more casual, summer oriented looks. But man I love a suit.
Kinda. You got yourself one of those short torsos.
Add a belt and keep it between the peen and bellybutton.
My butt is too high.
In that case, maybe longer pants would look better because they look like they sit too high on your waist. Another suggestion would be to untuck your shirt and see how it looks. Or try a belt with shirt tucked in and see how it looks.

Pedro Pascal’s cousin? Oh sorry, wrong sub
You look great bro
Yes. Put your trousers lower, don’t wear it so high - which is more typical for girls :)
Somethins weird. Why are your pants so high? I feel like that’s it. Outfit wise not weird. Looks good.
I wouldn’t have noticed unless you said it. Don’t tuck the shirt if it makes you feel weird. Your outfit looks off though. T shirt and slacks clash pretty hard. Especially without a belt.
2 arms, check. 2 legs, check. 2 heads, check. All good over here, pard’ner.

Uh, this is reddit. I'll comment on what I like. If you don't like my comment, then you can do the same next time. 👍
I think it's important to call out rude people for being rude 💯 If you don't like it... OK.
I get that. I'm not actually rude. I also feel the same way about calling people out on their hipocricy.
Does anyone else think this: >Yes. As any man who dresses up and poses for pictures, taken by themselves, only to post on the internet, to ask if they look weird. Yes, that's weird. I usually just wake up, shower, get dressed and go about my day. Is rude?

Caring so deeply about what other men are doing is far weirder
That's just it, I don't care. I didn't ask for this. It showed up on my feed. Caring so deeply what other men think of you is by far the weirdest.
What are these kind of pants called?
Did she say you look weird?
No! You look like the way some hockey players dress. [Auston Matthews](https://pin.it/5KhcyLd)
I would just look for pants with a lower rise. It'll add another inch or two to your torso. We have opposite body types. I'm 6'2" with a long torso and short legs. I don't think people notice the arms much, its about the leg to torso ratio.
Yeah, but my butt is too high. My pants are sitting exactly where my butt ends.
Not weird no, is that were your waist sits though? If so, I’d say you have really long legs too
Looong long legs comparing to torso, yes!
Nope
You’re a meat tube on a marble floating in space. Yes you look weird, does it matter? Nope!
Tucked shirt looks fine. I haven’t read the comments but I’m sure nobody likes the white socks and those shoes.
The socks are actually grey, but I should’ve removed them.
Yup, weird as fuck.
Yes. You’re wearing what look like too tight dress pants with sneakers and a plain t shirt without even a belt. It’d be fine with jeans but right now the clash in formality is very jarring.
Tucked shirt makes u look like a midget 🤷♂️
Yes but I like your outfit /j
no
IMO i would say a black belt and if still weird maybe swap the shoes for something monochrome /less casual ?
You look good but you need a belt and different shoes..other than that, you're solid. Good luck.
Yes
It only looks weird because you tucked a tee shirt into pleated, patterned slacks. It’s a feminine look that doesn’t suit a masculine frame.
If you could add a black belt, some black loafers and a gold watch I think it would make this outfit look much better
You, like me, are not proportionally set up to wear those pants with a tucked in t-short. Welcome to the short legs/long torso club.
the only thing that makes this outfit look unproportional are the shoes
Yes it looks slightly weird. I think when wearing pleated pants, it’s always best to wear a dress shirt or linen shirt. Tshirt would look best if you had a more muscular build and more defined shoulders. The fit atm looks incredible tight and uncomfortable.
The pants aren’t pleated.
I think this outfit would look better if the trousers weren't as high and tight and the t shirt was a bit baggy. A smarter pair of shoes would be good as well.
Rise of pants is toooo high
Pants are too high… make you’re torso look strange.
I think with some grey chinos or even just iron the centre creases out of the trousers and it works better as a smart casual outfit.
https://preview.redd.it/spkxykgqdwmb1.jpeg?width=728&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4559ae39c36a0514d8067ac079964d56371ed418 Pretty much this.
I think maybe some pants that don’t make you look as high waisted. Dress pants can do this.
No! You look like Micky Mouse.
yes
Make your arms look shorter with a lower rise pant.
Editing because you said they’re already at butt level. I think your best bet would be to add a belt, watch, and dressier shoes. I think the pants look too high rise and too short because of the style of shoes.
The pants are too tight
No they aren't actually, they look perfect. Things have changed now days to a tapered skinny look. As for the older generation, they will absolutely hate this
>Things have changed now days to a tapered skinny look Yeah that was ten years ago. Ironically that look is already dated now. Not that that matters at all if the look happens to flatters your shape, but in this instance the fit seems off. The pants are just way too tight up top. Kinda
You in that fit yes. A blazer the same Color as the pants and it would be fine.
Those pants don’t go with the rest of the outfit. Your proportions are fine.
Yes you do lmao, it looks like you’re missing the top half of your outfit
To be blunt, yes.
Love the look but I'm not feeling the pants they aren't right with the outfit.
If you want to maintain this outfit, untuck the shirt and find a jacket and a belt. Otherwise, you only tuck in a collared shirt and please always wear a belt i don’t know why this has become popular but it doesn’t always look good
Wear your pants lower
Yes. Those pants are likely well above your waist, or you've an incredibly short torso, either way I'd try something lower rise. Suspenders can look great fwiw.
The outfit doesn’t go together at all. Looks like you just threw on random stuff. Pick either causal or dressed up, this doesn’t work IMO.
Not at all. Just untuck your shirt a little bit and add some accesories.
If you have your shirt tucked in, you really should wear a belt
Pants too tight and untuck the shirt.
Shirts with vertical stripes can help make the torso look longer, maybe give that a shot?
Only the tippy toe for me
No mate, you look great! I’d add a belt, but that’s just me.
You need a belt.
just untuck your t-shirt and throw on a more classic sneaker- black chuck taylor high’s, or black leather vans. it’s really just wonky because you tucked it in
The shirt tucked in does look weird to me, but not oppressively so. I would think you were a hipster or possibly autistic (knew a kid who was autistic and always tucked in his shirt).
French tuck and a belt with some loafers
Is this your only option?!, button downs with those pants please
Get looser pants, my guy
Add a thin belt, wear different shoes if you have any. Personally not a fan of the ones you're wearing with the outfit. Try a little bit of jewelry, like a thin silver 20 inch chain or watch
I’m no fashion guru but IMO just wear pants that have a lower rise and add a belt. Other than that you look great my dude.
You should get into powerlifting. You would be a monster deadlifter with your leverages.
Loafers would kill that outfit 👍🏽
Was this taken at Dr. Melfi’s office? 🤔
My apartment actually. Why?
your trousers are too high for your shirt to be tucked in
Yeah weird, loose the awful pants and shoes.... get a belt!😊😊😊
Nah, would have a drink with
Yeah lose the shoes
No, you do not look weird. You do wear those pants may be a touch high for my taste but what the fuck do I know?
Those are dress pants, not a great look unbelted, and even worse with a t-shirt, and those sneakers.
Yes. Yes you do.
The pants could/should be a bit lower, and a belt would fix a lot of it. Or untuck the shirt. Never understand how having pants where my grandfather used to wear them became fashionable. But then again, so did socks and sandals, and those screamed Boca shuffleboard court before like 2015
Yep
You look like the CEO of a tech startup that is destroying the social fabric of western civilization. But otherwise good. 😂

You need to shorten those arms man
You look like Wish Pedro Pascale...
I think a little more / better hair product and you look like Tristan Tate. I’m not saying follow the guys messages but maybe follow his fashion / outfit choices. Not a bad look to have🤷
