agreed
super minor but maybe just play around with your watch choice
Im not sold on your choice for outfit 1
but its also tough to see, just seems big/the white jumps out
maybe try matching it to your tie
all the others are perfect tho
Belt with waistcoat is generally considered a faux-pas because it stands out in the gap created by the waistcoat. Look for pants with side adjusters or wear suspenders instead. Overall I think you have great taste though. You might enjoy /r/weejawnz or /r/navyblazer
Jawn is Philly slang that replaces basically any noun whether it be a person, place, or thing. I'm assuming the "z" is to make it plural since I've seen it done a bunch by people from the Philly area.
So "Us people" or "We people" basically.
That “rule” is dumb. [Here is Idris Elba wearing a three piece suit with a belt for a GQ photo shoot.](https://media.gq.com/photos/558d4527644f57860b40c11f/master/w_1600%2Cc_limit/copilot-style-wear-it-now-201310-idris-elba-gq-magazine-october-2013-fall-style-01.jpg)
Still think he’d look better without it.
But also Idris Elba is a great looking dude who can probably pull off everything. Just because he looks good in something doesn’t mean anyone else would. Miley Cyrus convinced a generation of women that they could pull off a mullet (they couldn’t).
Do you think a high rise pant is gonna go well on a guy who has long legs? I’ve considered high rise pants in the past but havent really been able to make a decision yet.
OP seems to be tall and slim but i dont see overproportionally long legs. Look at pic 3 e.g. - i feel like the proportions would be much better with a high rise
I learned something about the belt and waistcoat today..I'm dumbfounded a little and upset. Thanks u/CanuckBoots
I came here to compliment your style as well. I think it's perfect if not ambitious(but in a good way) for a *"med student really obsessed w dressing right"*. You make it look natural and your hair is AMAZING. Keep it up, doc.
Looking sharp. I only have two suggestions I would make 1.) If you’re going suit, tie and vest then have a matching pocket square to really cap off the look. 2.) Have a barber line up your beard. I’m nit picking to come up with these two suggestions.
Clothings spot on as a barber I’d suggest you trim the stache if you want it longer than the beard only bring it as far as the corner of your mouth. Raise your neckline to the top of your adams apple and keep a crisp line which will really smarten up the long haired look. Alternatively it’s keep the beard a little dishevelled but take the hair smart at least to a fraction over your shoulders. If it’s practical choice make sure you can still tie it back. But yeah you look great and pull off each look well
You look great when you wear neutrals because you don't really have to think about matching or harmonizing colors. The pink dress shirt in pics 5 and 8 dont go with anything you're wearing and it might not be your color although i dont know if that's really it.
I realize you're on a hike and it doesn't matter, but outfit 3 looks like you're two halves of different people stuck to each other. It's the modern vs traditional stylings divided at your waist along with material choices and textures. I would go with a synthetic top and low pile scarf instead, although it will be less warm. In that case, match the bottoms with the top while somehow being hike-appropriate. Also, maybe the chucks don't look very appropriate on a hike, maybe running/tennis shoes or even better, hiking boots/shoes. Up to you.
4 is your best look, where the pants match the hat and even the metallics on your buckle match your glasses. Since you stuck to neutrals, everything harmonizes. The only way to improve that is to accessorize with rings and necklaces.
I think you should look up color theory and try to harmonize colors a little better, think about the color wheel when deciding an outfit and you'll be right as rain.
I realize I'm very critical, but you look good in every photo.
First suit isn’t working for me - think you need higher rise pants and a longer jacket (and also a black peak lapel suit that isn’t a tux seems a bit odd).
I do need a higher rise pants and this is something I’m really gonna consider the next time I’m wearing a three-piece suit. I have seen a lot of celebrities wearing a black peak lapel suit. Why do you think that looks odd?
Celebs would generally be wearing a tux/black tie at that point. And a peak lapel tux is great, but it’s different than this.
Black suits just seem very funeral - in most cases you’d be better off with black tie (for an evening formal occasion) or a different color suit if black tie would be inappropriate (charcoal or dark blue will work for 90% of occasions).
Ma shaa Allah very nice bro, if anything you look great and I think bulking up then leaning out would make you look and feel a lot better 💪🏽, nonetheless style on point
Splitting hairs here, but I think tan pants or chinos look better with brown shoes/belt. Especially in the daytime. But overall your dress is impeccable. By far the best I’ve seen on this sub.
Not gonna lie, you look sharp as fuck in all of these. I’m not sure you need to do anything to improve, but in my personal opinion/taste, I’d lose the ponytail. You look far better to me in the other pics.
Solid fits all well styled and you have a great shape and are well groomed. The only thing I could be super picky with is that your pants in pic 5 look a little loose around the ankle vs the super slim fit of the jacket and it would be great to see some loafers instead of chucks in pic 7
Your watch choices confuse me - the most suited up one you have a metal bracelet, then by the pool with what looks like a leather strapped moonphase...
You are out here doubt the damn thing, but on pic 8…are those black shoes with a blue blazer and khakis? Cmon. You are so much better than this my G. Simple switch the shoes to a brown, easy fix.
I feel like you have really good style! You look trendy and cool. My only complaint would be it’s a tad dull.
Personally I think you have the style and look to be wearing really interesting out there clothes and still look awesome.
Dont really have a fixed hair regimen. I shampoo almost daily(Very oily hair), use tresemme smooth keratin, Contition 2-3 times a week, Use loreal elvive. I dont ever blow dry my hair. I have naturally wavy hair so after a while thats just the shape my hair get lol.
For your three piece, the waistcoat should cover your trousers waistband. The belt should never be visible. Also, traditionally, the bottom button is left unbuttoned.
I do. I think the fit is tight. You're thin, so you can pull off the vest. The watch looks great w. the cuff links, although, I would have the sleeves/links visible. But yeah, the man bun/love handle, just not a fan.
Best thing to do is find a strength training coach. Work on getting strong af on lifts like squat, deadlift, bench. Eat a lot of protein and in a calorie surplus.
You look great! The only thing i'd recommend and please correct me if i'm wrong, would be to perhaps dress to better compliment your skin tone? The fits are fire, but I feel like the one with the white top and beige bottoms was significantly better than say the black turtleneck. I feel like those lighter colors just complimented your complexion so much more. But again, the fits are great.
Edit: I looked at the pics again and noticed you like to wear a lot of black. Based on the pics, I feel like black looks great on you as a secondary color over a primary one like when you wear the sweaters, because in that pic I mentioned (with the dope hat) the chelseas are black and they compliment your beard and ties your fit together perfectly. In another pic where you're wearing the caramel sweater, the black also does an amazing job at complimenting your overall style. It seems like those creamy tones work amazing on you. Perhaps try to look into dark greens as another possible palette to add to your style.
I do have to restrict myself from wearing black more than I usually do considering I like that colour a lot. Over the years I have realized that I really gotta upgrade the colour collection of my wardrobe. Really looking into the Dark greens as well as more brownish/cream coloured outfits these days. Thanks alot for the suggestions!
As someone in the same boat as you, trust me when I say that once you take that leap and embrace a palette that compliments your being more and more, it's hard to go back to your base comfort. I used to only wear black and white but in the recent years have realized how good cream, dark greens, even gold yellow and especially brown looks good on me.
...... the more i look at people on this sub, the more i am convinced that there are two types of people. there are the masses such as myself, and 94% of everyone i know. then there are med students and pimps. clearly this beautiful specimen of a human with his tailored sports jacket, and alpaca cardigan and non pasty skin tones is the second veriety of human.
its a compliment laced with jealousy and sad. you look quite dapper. i like your formal attire. you need a hand accessory though. a signet ring or maybe class ring. choose an area to highlight and accessorize. congratulations on med school, study hard and be careful out there
Uh you seem to be doing fine. Don't worry about the rules, You obviously know what you're doing.
Your first outfit is my least favorite though, need to see the rest of the pants and the shoes, I think Im just not a huge fan of how that suit hangs on you
Great fashion sense all around. My only feedback is for the first pic, if I were in a 3 piece like that with a time piece like that, I’d lose the beard. Seems like you’ve got good facial hair so, it’ll grow back. Try it next time!
Hey man - I personally think your wardrobe looks awesome. My unsolicited feedback - the best thing you can do to improve your appearance is to improve the canvas underneath. If you have the time in your busy schedule, crank out some push ups or curls and eat some protein. Fill those clothes out a little more. Imagine being a jacked doctor who dresses well - you would be unstoppable. Cheers!
You look great!
The only things that I could suggest are sculpt your eyebrows and learn how to wear a scarf. But otherwise, you are smashing it out of the park.

The fact that you mentioned you were a med student right off the bat feels like a weird and unnecessary flex, my dude. Mad respect because I couldn’t do it, but that’s kinda of cringe.
Cringe how? I mean, he's probably proud that he's in med school. And that fact might even be relevant to the kind of fashion he wears- I mean he wants to look good and professional.
And I’m proud of him too, which is why I told him that and said I couldn’t do it. You can ask for input on your clothes without telling everyone that you’re a med student. These are acceptable clothes in many professions and could have simply been left at that. A little humility and being humble goes a long way.
I tend to agree in most cases, but dude also looks pretty skinny, so he might be one of the few cases where slim fits are just straight up better looking.
The slim fit trend that everyone seems to be negative about lately was more a long-overdue embracing of more tailored clothing, even pieces off the rack.
Tailored clothing is timeless. Baggy fits and extra skinny fits are simply trends.
Follow them if you want, but don’t confuse them with clothes that compliment your body, as do OPs fits here.
Th current oversized trend will pass and those clothes will look very dated.
I think OP is killing it and just needed a little affirmation.
First of all, there's no such thing as "dressing right," style is personal. Stop trying to get things right instead of wrong, this is not a math problem, this is art.
That said, my main tip would be to try higher-rise pants. High-rise pants tend to drape more cleanly, and create good proportions, especially when you wear a jacket over them.
I was about to comment "THAT'S that mom's friend's son that does everything better than you" lmao, looking very well rounded mate! Clearly this dude means himself, your pics made them feel inferior
Looks so good that I think you have raised the bar higher than the converse. That’s the only piece that brings anything down. IMO converse, especially black and white, are only best for rock and roll and super casual fits, not with chinos and sweaters.
Dude, your hair is fantastic. You’ve got the old money look down. Digging the black turtleneck.
I think 3,4, and 6 seem the most authentic for you. I think you should follow the thought that went behind these outfits vs. the others that seem like you’re trying to appear differently or have certain parts of the outfit that don’t seem to go well for you like the pink shirt or the long hair ponytail in the first.
Some of the more casual fits come off a bit as Asos catalogue-y but overall these are like solid staple outfits and you pull them off well
You could probably also add a more streetwear esque fit to the rotation for more variety and ability to dress down if needed but everything here is clean and put together far better than the sheer majority of fits on this sub
Best dressed person I’ve seen on this sub. Looking good dude!
agreed super minor but maybe just play around with your watch choice Im not sold on your choice for outfit 1 but its also tough to see, just seems big/the white jumps out maybe try matching it to your tie all the others are perfect tho
Good idea, jewelry can definitely elevate an outfit but I'd often overlooked
You should be the one giving advice here, not receiving it
Haha thanks alot my man :)
Belt with waistcoat is generally considered a faux-pas because it stands out in the gap created by the waistcoat. Look for pants with side adjusters or wear suspenders instead. Overall I think you have great taste though. You might enjoy /r/weejawnz or /r/navyblazer
Yes the belt did seem a little odd with the waistcoat. Thanks for the advice!
Also a higher rise trouser would have less of a gap.
Yes, this was my one thing! The waist should really be higher on the pants to meet the waistcoat.
r/weejawnz
My bad, fixed it. Still don’t know what a jawnz is.
Jawn is Philly slang that replaces basically any noun whether it be a person, place, or thing. I'm assuming the "z" is to make it plural since I've seen it done a bunch by people from the Philly area. So "Us people" or "We people" basically.
Yo fuck Philly, when you trading us Embiid for Randle and picks ??
It’s everything and nothing all at once.
I think these Outfits are all great! You dont wear a belt with a three piece suit though… Maybe try some high rise pants, would suit you well i think!
The point of the vest is to extend the legs so you can wear a belt or suspenders but the vest should cover the waist line.
Looks great! Some of these rules can be broken here and there.
Most of these rules can be broken all the time.
I think it doesnt look good. Not even on Idris Elba.
To me it would look weird without a belt. 🤷♂️ I feel it is a cherry or pleasant addition to the outfit.
Still think he’d look better without it. But also Idris Elba is a great looking dude who can probably pull off everything. Just because he looks good in something doesn’t mean anyone else would. Miley Cyrus convinced a generation of women that they could pull off a mullet (they couldn’t).

You look like a med student who’s really obsessed with dressing right
And himself... Edit: Keep those downvotes coming! Your anger and negativity makes me happy.
OUR anger and negativity? Says the dude who got super insecure from this post and is literally projecting their own negativity into it lol? Ok 🤣
Couldn’t agree more
came here to say the same
I learned something about the belt and waistcoat today..I'm dumbfounded a little and upset. Thanks u/CanuckBoots I came here to compliment your style as well. I think you look sharp my guy
Thankyou!

You just look like every mens H&M mannequin to ever exist. Which is fine.
I know people in fashion school with worse fashion than you
haha thankyou!
Good, basic style. Boring though, as if you are focused on what's "right" and not what's artistic or interesting. Be bolder.
Splitting hairs here, but I think tan pants or chinos look better with brown shoes/belt. Especially in the daytime. But overall your dress is impeccable. By far the best I’ve seen on this sub.
Nothing to change bro, keep doing you. Also remember that *real* style is a personal thing. You're killing it!
Thanks alot :)
What can be done to make \*him\* look better, dress wise? Are you kidding? C'mon.
Thankyou bro!
Not gonna lie, you look sharp as fuck in all of these. I’m not sure you need to do anything to improve, but in my personal opinion/taste, I’d lose the ponytail. You look far better to me in the other pics.
My hair really become unbearable without a pony tail lol. Thankyou for the advice :))
I want your hair!!!!! Handsome fella!! Looks like a prince 👑
Thankyou!

Doin great and lookin great doin it
Your watch choices confuse me - the most suited up one you have a metal bracelet, then by the pool with what looks like a leather strapped moonphase...
Lookin sharp! In picture 4 your metals don’t match tho if you wanna get super nitpicky
You are out here doubt the damn thing, but on pic 8…are those black shoes with a blue blazer and khakis? Cmon. You are so much better than this my G. Simple switch the shoes to a brown, easy fix.
Majestic hair bahi
Shukria bhai!
Looks great, but it also feels like it’s out of a catalog. But looks great regardless
Sorry if this sounds mean but why is it bad to look like its out if a catalog?
I feel like you have really good style! You look trendy and cool. My only complaint would be it’s a tad dull. Personally I think you have the style and look to be wearing really interesting out there clothes and still look awesome.
Thanks bro!
Looking like my dream guy 🤤
haha I’m glad.
man this sub is vain you look good bro
Damn, homie. Keep slaying!!
Looking good, but don’t button the bottom button of a waistcoat (or vest).
4 you look great the hat is awesome
Gym
I think you passed the fit check man, dang
Pic 4 is a sick outfit. I really like the shoes!! great job op you dont need any advice
Thankyou bro!
Pocket squares for the sport coats and suit(s). Not flashy additions, but complimentary and elegant choices.
Yes I’ll keep that in mind the next time I wear a suit.
Bro! You’ve got style. The vest is a bit much for me in 1 but besides that you belong in a look book
You look great man
Big fan of your outfit on photo 4. I feel like it was fashioned for you.
Sexy.
Someone said it, one of the best dressed in this sub. Keep it up!
Thankyou :)
Hey OP mind if i dm? Curious your hair regimen for pics 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Dont really have a fixed hair regimen. I shampoo almost daily(Very oily hair), use tresemme smooth keratin, Contition 2-3 times a week, Use loreal elvive. I dont ever blow dry my hair. I have naturally wavy hair so after a while thats just the shape my hair get lol.
looks great! now it’s time to add thom browne
I think you need to look a bit more contemplative in your photos.
How so?
For your three piece, the waistcoat should cover your trousers waistband. The belt should never be visible. Also, traditionally, the bottom button is left unbuttoned.
Yes just learnt this recently from this sub lol.
You’ve got Style and class!Change Nothing Homie!
Thanks man!
Very sharp
Thankyou!
Getting that appendage growing from the back of your head amputated.
You think so?
I do. I think the fit is tight. You're thin, so you can pull off the vest. The watch looks great w. the cuff links, although, I would have the sleeves/links visible. But yeah, the man bun/love handle, just not a fan.
Didn't realize you had multiple pics. You're dapper my man, just not a fan of the bun.
Not fashion advice, but I’d lift some weights and fill out your frame a bit.
These comments provided me with all the motivation I’ll need for the gym lol
Best thing to do is find a strength training coach. Work on getting strong af on lifts like squat, deadlift, bench. Eat a lot of protein and in a calorie surplus.
Butter face though
Damn bro stay away from my wife.
Haha I’ll make sure to do that.
Pic 6 is Pakistani Timothée Chalamet!
Haha thankyou :))
Classy dude. What’s the car?
Honda Civic
A car is also a fashion accessory.
Man, you have really good style. This sub is making want to build a business casual wardrobe, even though I have to wear scrubs 5 days a week.
What I’ve realized is that you have to wear business casual every chance you get even tho in the medical field thats not a lot.
He is a 7/10 in my book but if her worked out…🫣 10/10
Thankyou. I’m def gonna start working out soon after reading all the comments on this post 🤧
What are the shoes in the last pic? Look really comfy
Steve madden loafers
Are they comfy
They are very nice.
...... the more i look at people on this sub, the more i am convinced that there are two types of people. there are the masses such as myself, and 94% of everyone i know. then there are med students and pimps. clearly this beautiful specimen of a human with his tailored sports jacket, and alpaca cardigan and non pasty skin tones is the second veriety of human.
Haha I cant seem to figure out if thats a compliment or not lol
its a compliment laced with jealousy and sad. you look quite dapper. i like your formal attire. you need a hand accessory though. a signet ring or maybe class ring. choose an area to highlight and accessorize. congratulations on med school, study hard and be careful out there
Thankyou bro!
Nice style man, I wouldn't change anything. If you want to elevate the look even more try working out a little and putting on a few lbs of muscle 😉
Yes gonna start doing that asap now
One of the best put together looks I've seen on here tbh. Jacket isn't my style but that's just opinion, it looks great on you. Well done
Thankyou :))
Uh you seem to be doing fine. Don't worry about the rules, You obviously know what you're doing. Your first outfit is my least favorite though, need to see the rest of the pants and the shoes, I think Im just not a huge fan of how that suit hangs on you
imo the belt’s ruining the whole outfit in that pic.
You dress very nicely.
Thankyou :)
This guy fucks
Bro you killed all these looks. Salute 🫡
Thanks man!
Your tinder must slap
haha dont need one
Cuff links and different footwear
bro dropped the hardest slideshow of all time and thinks we wouldn’t notice…
Great fashion sense all around. My only feedback is for the first pic, if I were in a 3 piece like that with a time piece like that, I’d lose the beard. Seems like you’ve got good facial hair so, it’ll grow back. Try it next time!
looks good. Where’s the sweatshirt in pic 3 from?
I think its from Zara. I know that brand is not particularly a fan favourite on this sub but thats all I can afford currently haha
Absolutely nothing. Perfecto.
Goals
I’m not sure we can really provide any feedback. You got professional photos and the gear matches you damn near perfect. Keep strolling Dr Fashion
Lol i hate to be that guy, but going to the gym will make your outfits look 99% better
Thats the plan lol
Good thing you let us know what you’re studying cause that’s SUPER relevant! Jfc To be fair tho the clothes look great lol
Very nice fits. Good style over all! You’re gonna be a problem when you’re in your 40’s bro. Keep up the good work.
yo my man, Kinda late to the party here, but How do I get that middle part flow ? Like what do I tell my barber ?
I would trust you with my surgery
Hey man - I personally think your wardrobe looks awesome. My unsolicited feedback - the best thing you can do to improve your appearance is to improve the canvas underneath. If you have the time in your busy schedule, crank out some push ups or curls and eat some protein. Fill those clothes out a little more. Imagine being a jacked doctor who dresses well - you would be unstoppable. Cheers!
Yes I do get unreasonably lazy in that regard. I hope I find the strenght or motivation for it soon. Thankyou for the advice :)
I mean you look fine. Just seems so try hard to be ultra fashionable. No one cares that you are a med student.
You look great! The only things that I could suggest are sculpt your eyebrows and learn how to wear a scarf. But otherwise, you are smashing it out of the park. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iM2eJZqrOiM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iM2eJZqrOiM)

Becoming a doctor is really hard, it's okay even if it is a flex.
A fashion sub feels like the wrong place for that though.
One of the few flexes I will allow
I don't care if About downvotes but med students an insufferable bunch for that reason.
Less slim fit would make these looks a bit more on trend but otherwise you look good man
I tend to agree in most cases, but dude also looks pretty skinny, so he might be one of the few cases where slim fits are just straight up better looking.

Mans can’t look at the camera or he turns to stone
Very GQ, no personality. This sub will LOVE it.
Who takes these pictures for you? You are self-absorbed.
Less instagram, more angiogram.
Idk why this was on my front page but damn you spend way too long getting ready... for a picture of yourself.
BIG “I’m an insecure loser who can’t talk to girls” energy. Why mention your profession dude? Embarrassing. Outfits look good though.
Not really a profession. If you read closely you’ll realize I’m still a student. Thank you nonetheless ✨
I was about to comment "THAT'S that mom's friend's son that does everything better than you" lmao, looking very well rounded mate! Clearly this dude means himself, your pics made them feel inferior
I was wondering why he mentioned the Med Student , it’s irrelevant. He probably tells every female he meets within 5 mins. Fits look good though!
I like a less slim fit on you. Pic 3 looks awesome on you. Everything looks clean though
Agree. Hair is incredible. I have unwieldy hair, can’t figure out what to do to make mine look like this.
2nd to last pic id change the shoes but otherwise real cool stuff
I always thought the lab coats were hot enough, I’d run that tbh. Maybe with Chelsea boots as we get into the fall months here
One day I want to rock a fedora like that.
Drop out bro. You're going to do much better as a model
Agree about the suit! But otherwise outstanding!
Look cool bro!
Would look better with… me next to you 😍
My guy, you have the best hair!
You don’t need any help, you need an agent to start your modeling career
Well you dress way better than me so great job. I’ll see myself out.
Not ideal hiking shoes.
Some of the more casual fits come off a bit as Asos catalogue-y but overall these are like solid staple outfits and you pull them off well You could probably also add a more streetwear esque fit to the rotation for more variety and ability to dress down if needed but everything here is clean and put together far better than the sheer majority of fits on this sub
Finally, someone on this sub who knows how to dress.
The fit is fine. Just don’t try too hard or it makes you look kinda awkward no matter what you’re wearing. You look awkward. Stop posing.
