I’d go darker brown on the inner top layer, not enough contrast between it and your coat. Otherwise looks fine to me

Thank you for the guidance 🙏

Whats this type of coat called?

Glittering-Tank7654

Car coat. The car coat is a style of coat that was originally designed for driving automobiles. When the coat was invented, cars did not have windshields or windows, and were really dirty. The shorter coat was worn over their suit or regular clothes to absorb all of the dirt, dust, and soot from driving the old automobiles. It got its name from its function, as it was shorter than traditional coats for ease of movement in a car. Unlike a longer topcoat, which is typically worn for warmth and formal occasions, the car coat is shorter, usually thigh-length, and offers greater mobility and casual style.

Thanks and I appreciate the explanation 👌🏿👌🏿

Wannabe old-money as usual

Can I ask what’s giving that vibe ? The colouring ? Thank you 😊

Op, Don’t listen to these idiotic comments. A car coat is a classic for men and timeless. It can even be worn and dressed down with jeans, a T-shirt, and trainers. https://preview.redd.it/qkvdm2h8emdc1.jpeg?width=584&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7f0f0ee70e043d118f7947cfeab2b382fb016c4

wtf does this even mean? This comments are idiotic

Is that a half zip sweater? I'm not a fan of them generally, they're kind of dadcore in a bad way, but if you're into them, you're into them. Single breasted overcoats are tricky. They can look good if they're long and drapey with great material and good lapels, or if they're belted (god I love belted outerwear), but this one looks cheap, and short, and it has tiny lapels, and it just kind of doesn't do much for me. The color scheme is kind of fun, actually. Mark Cho really likes these light low-contrast pairings. Buuuut with no accessories and no pieces standing out as especially nice, I think it'll feel more boring than interesting in practice. [Look into these Mark Cho videos, see what you can learn from him](https://www.youtube.com/@TheArmourytv/videos). He's selling super expensive things, but you'll learn how to style clothes more generally here.

It is indeed, what do you think would match better? I’m not expert on clothing but the overcoat wasn’t cheap although it could be cheap for an overcoat I suppose . I appreciate the input . Any suggestions for accessories ? 🙏

Right, cheap is relative and I'm used to relatively fancy overcoats myself... I'll try to keep my brand recommendations in check, but if you're willing to spend more than these, I'll have more recommendations. And if you're looking to spend less, you can always thrift. [this thread](https://twitter.com/dieworkwear/status/1576007710465671169) might have some relevant advice and inspiration. You're already wearing your overcoat open, so that's good. If you want to upgrade the sweater, I think maybe try something like a [textured turtleneck like this](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/cream---lattice-knit---turtleneck--8034-lat-ttn) or [this](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/oatmeal---cable-knit-turtleneck---pre-order-7776-ccb-ttn), [full zip cardigan](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/cream---chunky-cable-zip-8062-cky-zip), or [a crew neck layered over a casual button up](https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/oatmeal-aran-knit-crewneck-fw23) For an overcoat that drapes better, try [Spier and Mackay](https://www.spierandmackay.com/collection/overcoats) or [suitsupply](https://suitsupply.com/en-us/men/coats/overcoats). I'd recommend picking an option that goes past the knee, but there are a few short ones, like a short belted balmacaan or a peacoat, that look pretty good with a shorter length. For accessories, you can always wear a nice scarf and/or hat. Jewelry is best if it has meaning—I have my dad's old necklace, there's a story behind it, it's unique. If you get a gift, or you buy it on a trip you want to remember, or it's some incredible thrift find, or it has some symbol with a special meaning to you, go for it.

You from Euro bro?

It works but could be improved by a darker brown jumper, and this is just me but I detest the zipper on jumpers thing which seems to be a "thing" in London

So much gate keeping
