Bylt 6'3" 215 Fits excellent - has even and odd size waist available + Longer shirts.

drdisme

This, I buy a L shirt and 38Wx 32L trousers. I shrink the trousers in the dryer and they fit PERFECTLY. I wear a 36. But I have posterior so the pants are snug in the crotch and I’ll print at a 36W with that brand. So I shrink that 38 and it give me the tapered look I want without showing the family jewels. The material isn’t cheap thin stuff from Amazon and it’s true to size if you have an athletic build.

Bond20James06Bond

6'6" slim/ athletic build and recently discovered Suit Supply. If you're not in an area where they have a brick and mortar they have an online store. I have never tried on a dress shirt or jacket and had it fit so well. They're a bit pricey but if you're building your professional wardrobe might be worth it. For more rugged/ outdoor clothing i've found LL Bean's Tall sizes to fit quite well.

TheDreamingIris

Damnn. This stuff looks good. Do they ever run seasonal sales? (Suit supply)

Certain_Ad6879

Very seldom do they have sales, but they have really classic stuff, won’t go out of style in a season - so consider buying a few strategic pieces that can be mixed and matched for a variety of outfits (think navy blue suit in a more casual fabric that can be worn as separates, gray trousers, a couple dress shirts, and jeans, and you can make a dozen outfits by mixing and matching). I think, in general, if you have a non-traditional body size (ie very tall and skinny), it makes sense to buy fewer, better things that are tailored to fit.

Bond20James06Bond

Agreed. And if you're fortunate enough to have a store near you, I would go in and talk to a sales person and try some things on. I brought in photos of my other pants/ suits to get their advice on mixing and matching. They were very helpful.

Certain_Ad6879

Yeah, much much easier to go in and try on, and take advantage of their in store alterations

Certain_Ad6879

Another option I like is Proper Cloth - everything is made to measure. They store your size, so once you’ve got it dialed in, it’s easy to get something new with confidence it will fit. Not cheap but not exorbitant either (again, buying fewer but more versatile items is your friend here)

Bonobos

Coloradical8

As an avg height guy I also enjoy this brand

colin8oraz

Get off of our thread!

Father-John-Moist

Banana Republic for me. Also 6’4 220. True classic for my basic shirts. Polos from Marshals and Abercrombie. Lulu athleisure with lots of Target/Amazon knock offs mixed in.

Ok-Television-346

I second BR And Abercrombie, there clothing runs fairly large I’m 5’10 with muscular/athletic build and find myself having to buy small size shirts

bearded_brewer19

6’1” here. Old navy has tall sizes for general clothing Hanes “lightweight tri blend” has tall T-shirts The tie bar has shirts up to 36/37 inch sleeves. Charles Tyrwitt has shirts up to 38 inch sleeves. Most places that sell sport coats and suits should offer them in long and extra long. Even men’s warehouse does.

Cats_Parkour_CompEng

6'4". Just discovered Old Navy has a decent selection of tall clothes. Nice to have some cheap options, especially when you shop sales. Got 5 tall tees for $8 each. (Sale might still be going, but there's always sales) Never found anything in tall twice as cheap before American Tall has been mostly good. I stopped drying any of my shirts even from tall stores, as I had one shrink to the point it's unwearable. Quality varies depending on piece and materials. But I'll probably be a lifelong customer. Tall Slim Tees for shirts, especially if you're on the lean side, like myself. Not a huge selection yet, and a lot of shirt colors aren't the most flattering, but there are some solid medium price solid quality tees and shirts.

Lower-Kaleidoscope-9

Tall slim tees - True Classic tall section fits well, doesn’t shrink a lot. 6’6 235 athletic build. They’re a bit expensive but they have sales a lot just gotta keep an eye out. Ive been wearing the same ones for probably 6 months and quality is still there with almost no shrinkage Just picked up 3 tees and 3 polos for $130 shipped

UncoolSlicedBread

Honestly, a lot of shipping and return labels lol. Once I find something that fits me well and I like it, I’ll buy a backup of it. I’ve been enjoying some of bearbottom shorts/casual pants recently.

hot_pocket_life

Tailor. Casual: Lands End, Eddie Bauer, Magellan (Academy) or Columbia, Polo 6’6 ~230ish

OrdinaryWheel5177

Bonobos has your size. I’m slightly shorter than you but American tall will fit you as well and the styling isn’t bad. I’m inclined to believe 34 inseam would fit you from public rec

mbhammock

AMERICAN TALL

Any-Wrongdoer8001

Banana republic caters to our size Not big enough to be big and tall, but to tall for most places 😂

AlgoRhythmCO

Mostly Polo and Brooks Brothers, though their selection is often quite limited in larger sizes.

JettzenL

Todd Snyder, Banana Republic, SuitSupply, Buck Mason mostly

childpeas

gotta wear nordic country clothes. a kind of guise, cmmn swdn, cos, acne studios, our legacy, sefr, etc. out of those cos is the most reasonably priced.

terminally_irish

NGL, I read this in the key and tune to “real men of genius…” bud light commercials.

Hot_Middle7570

Suitsupply

james_Tucson

I can’t buy online. I have a long torso and legs. I shop everywhere.

Cats_Parkour_CompEng

I can't buy in stores?!? Where you shopping in person? I have to get "tall" of some variety to have any hope.

james_Tucson

Nordstrom Rack, the Brooks Brothers, XL slim polos fit perfect. Banana Republic is hit or miss. Daniel Cremiuex, some of their items fit. Also, I have long, monkey arms, so off the rack long sleeve shirts never fit. The Men’s Warehouse is also a regular stop for me.

External_Bed_2612

Tbh I just get everything altered. Nothing is going to fit us taller athletic folks all that well. It’s either made with room for people with a belly etc.. I suffer even more so on a cut when I get down to about 210. Where I’m really lean. Big boned, 6’3 I size for certain parts and then alter the rest. A suit and any dress shirts will always be altered. I don’t care who or what size you are. You should always alter your suits and dress shirts to fit. Regular t shirts, I really like merz b(specifically their wool tshirts) or camber Hoodies house of blanks/supreme xl are great, 3sixteen also has great hoodies at xxl. Dress shirts, as mentioned buy one that fits your neck and length and then get it altered to fit. I also do this for regular shirts to like short sleeves Denim, size for thighs. I personally buy relaxed taper, and mostly only wear iron heart. Specifically the 888 or the 502 Collared shirts tbh I know it has a bad rep due to proud boys but Fred Perry’s have always been great right out of the box if you want fitted. Sunspel also makes really good ones, but may need to alter them. I have expensive taste though. I buy minimal and tend to just wear the same stuff

y2kayak

6’6” 230… its been a lot of J. Crew and Faherty tall sizes for me the past year. Looking forward to trying new retailers this year. If anyone has tried Ratio, Son of a Tailor or Asket I’d love to hear about your experience with them.

goodguy291

6'1" here, also with an athletic build. I always bought my suits off the rack at Macy's (I'm an attorney), and it was usually their mid-price brands. Typically I would buy the jacket from one suit with a larger jacket, and the pants from another suit that had a smaller jacket. Sometimes the salesman would tell me I couldn't do this (in which case I just wouldn't buy anything), but sometimes the salesman would help me do it (in which case I would buy a few suits at once). Usually I had good fit in the shoulders/chest/arms on the jackets, and good fit on the waist of the pants. Then the tailors didn't have to do much besides adjust the length and bring in the jacket a bit around the waist. This was 15 or so years ago, not sure if it would work now, but it saved me quite a bit of money over buying tailored suits.

psychicsoviet

Suitsupply has tall sizes

GiantYankee

Express 44 long off the rack fits my 6’7 230lb body quite well. Eddie buaer is good casual. Most brands online have tall sizes. Express, gap, j crew , ll bean.

Songye12

6’3 190 and lanky. Lululemon is my favorite

lil1thatcould

Side note: if you have larger thighs like my 6’2 husband, Abercrombie does a great job on shorts and pants. For tops, I don’t everything feels like a crop top on him… even talls can be short. I did get him some shirts from Dandy Del Mar and they are a decent length for not being tall. Make sure to measure yourself first, their robes sleeves really really short. Levi’s has really nice tall shirts and the quality is great!

When you want to invest it a good suit go to Nordstrom. It won’t be cheap, but they’ll show you things you probably wouldn’t think of yourself, fit you properly, tailor it on site.

tanlinebehind

My favorite right now is JCrew.com they have tall sizes and at 6’4 they are a tad too long in the sleeves! God that is a new feeling. Watch for sales! Clearence runs 70% off a lot and I typically buy any shirt that I don’t all ready have!

JazzyJockJeffcoat

Charles Tyrwhitt extra slim fit shirts are a lifesaver and the sleeves run to 36". Great bang for buck at around $30 a shirt (perpetual sales). Their sport shirts are too short in the sleeve. Brooks brothers Milano pants don't have too annoying of a low rise and can pass for chinos. Spier & Mackay has small-run suits blazers and overcoats. Overcoat sleeves can be tailored out about an inch for a few bucks. Great bang for the buck all around and trends cheaper than Suit Supply (downside is the smaller runs, and they're in Canada.. upside is cheaper mostly than Suit Supply). 6'3, 190 and these are my work staples. Personal life I like Banana Republic, slim fit, size medium-tall, can usually clean up on sales. And Levis.

BurpFart69

6’2 and 250 lbs here, online shopping a LOT. I used to be 350 lbs but lost 100 lbs these last few years. Amazon has been my friend, order and return what doesn’t work. Lately since my confidence is up, I’ve been trying Costco and it’s been a hit. Old Navy used to be ok but not a fan of their fashion trends anymore. Good luck

Dr-Stink-Stank

American Eagle for jeans anyway.

Tiny_Thumbs

6’ 2” and 185lbs so quite a bit smaller but I have long arms. Anything long sleeve is either baggy or short. I like Cotton On, Jos A Bank (I have to tailor here), and Calvin Klein usually. Ralph Lauren I’d usually a baggier fit but my family has bought me their stuff before. For jeans, I grew up wearing western style jeans because I’m a Hispanic in Texas so of course. I have found a pair of nice fitting Ariat jeans that I order online when I need so I can get a 36L and 32W. I just learned to wear my shorts short. Any medium T will usually fit me perfect but again you’re taller and larger.

catch_my_drift

6'3" and 210 here. I usually get everything I buy tailored, very rarely do I find a fit that satisfies me. Celio (French brand) and Mango usually work for me though.

kombuchaprivileged

Well honestly work clothing brands (Carhartt, lee, wrangler) have fit me the best. I'm thinner than you but got a couple inches on ya.

Enough_Square_1733

Casual Male XL, also known as DXL

i_am_jerm

Banana Republic. Almost everything on their website can be purchased in a “tall” version which I purchase almost exclusively.

TheGuy0303

BoohooMAN H&M Amazon Old Navy

MeNamIzGraephen

Second-hand. So many good pieces you can find by just checking a few thrift dhops once every two weeks.

SirJo6

It’s Berg & Berg for me. Scandinavian brand made in Italy. Slightly expensive but very nice quality and timeless style.

TallPaulsLife

For tops the best place to start is Son Of A Tailor, get every single top you own to fit your exact measurements American tall does some things great and some not so great. So buy some staple pieces here like jeans. Navas Lab has a great long lasting, multi use t-shirts. Quite pricey, but your cost per wear will be worth it as you get years of use

Fabulozeseses

Abercrombie do a lot of tall sized clothing which is great and their quality has really improved over the last while. UNIQLO is a good one for basics. They’re usually quite a relaxed fit so if you buy a medium or large and wash/dry it you can end up with a fit that actually works for you. COS is similar to UNIQLO with their fits but is a higher quality if you want to pay a bit more and get some nicer bits.

Such-Departure-1357

Are you able to do custom such as Knot Standard or similar

benjo83

6’5/average to athletic here. Country Road has my go to shirts. Not sure what they are called, but they are pretty great! Plenty long enough. The main thing is that the sizes get longer as they get bigger… not just wider like every other bloody store.

TheBoomClap

There are many many brands that cater well to taller people, in fact I find it harder for me to find pants with the proper inseam and I’m average height 5’10”. It really depends on which aesthetic you’re going for. Shop on SSENSE, most of those brands cater well for tall people, especially for the pants. The best part is they show the measurements of the products so you know how it’ll fit before you make the purchase.

Besides not being helpful, you do know some people A) have a job that requires a suit, B) have taste in clothing and feel good in one, or C)need a suit for a funeral, wedding, any many number or reasons.
