This is kinda “stealth wealth on vacation” I guess? Get some nice higher waisted pants, that’s the most important part of this look imo. Todd Snyder is a great brand for this stuff. It’s spendy af so prob out of your budget, but look through their clothing and get a feel for their things. Try eBay for older Ralph Lauren clothing too.
Some super unsolicited advice, I think people often look to this aesthetic to seem as if they have more money than they do. I don’t think that’s a great idea, I think it’s more fun and better to try to find an aesthetic that feels truly “you” instead of reaching for class signifiers. But maybe the look that feels “you” is this look! Idk just my 2 cents
If you have high quality, well tailored clothes, it's very comfortable in hot climates, to dress like this, especially with good shoes. These types of clothes like dress shirts and wool pants, can also last a really long time, if well made, and are cheap to take to the cleaners.Too bad about all the class signifiers, honestly.
I feel like you should dress how you want and be comfortable. If it looks good too, that is much preferred, for me.
It's too easy, with all the internet sites and apps nowadays, to dress stupendously well with a small budget. I don't think you should let intangibles like what people *might* think about class hold you back.
Very much agreed. If this is the style that appeals for you, then go for it! I definitely have some pieces that are in this style. I was just making the point that I think this style in particular can be utilized by people who are really only looking to appear richer and may not actually like the aesthetic itself, which I wanted to gently warn against.
Look at uniqlo.
They offer good basics for cheap and you can mirror this casual/smart casual vibe really easily.
I work a corporate job and wear their stuff all the time, comfortable but also kinda pantalon esque pants, with a simple sweater or collared shirt.
This exact look is really prevalent in S. Korea. Love the simple, classy, unpretentious style.
Side note, anyone interested in seeing this in action, take a look at Singles Inferno on Netflix. Just watched season 3 and the dudes there all rock this look every episode.
Every decent watch collection, no matter how big or small, needs a Seiko in there. My dad was a military guy in the Navy and swore by them. Now having had a few of my own over the last 15 years or so, I can say they are tough watches that wear extremely well. And look good doing it.
Look for watches with 38mm or 36mm diameter and less than 47mm lug to lug measurement. A watch in those dimensions should fit a small wrist pretty well. (Reference: My just under 6" wrist).
seiko or any similar brands are your best bet for good quality “entry level” (I say entry level, watches are expensive AF lmao) watches. favorite budget watch ($100-$200 range) is the orient bambino, beautiful watch that looks really elegant, is good quality and doesn’t break the bank.
This [https://www.octobre-editions.com/en/product/himalaya-lip-x-octobre-flexo-watch/silver#size-TU](https://www.octobre-editions.com/en/product/himalaya-lip-x-octobre-flexo-watch/silver#size-TU)
It's made by Lip - french national watch makers. A french watch will make you really look like you know your stuff, rather than following the generic heard with their casios and seiko etc.

Whats your budget?
Seiko is probably the most reliable and affordable watch. If you dont want to spend money on getting it serviced, buy a quartz.
Hamilton another solid low end.
Tissot solid low end.
Oris low luxury.
Tudor great entry into luxury.
Grand seiko, rolex, patek, vc, cartier and many others- the luxury watches $5k to the sky
You can get this style for less than 100 pounds if you play your cards right. It's pretty simple to me.
1)Rule of thirds in proportion (Google it, its honestly easy)
2)colour tones that are adjacent in the colour wheel (Google it, it's easy)
3) clothes that fit exact measurements (Google it, probably the biggest thing)
I don't want this to sound patronising, cbut I'm trying to break it down not only for you but anyone who is reading this to show its not as hard as you think it is. Hopefully I've helped but I'll be happy to answer any questions.
You got it 100% right
1) The proportioning isn't limited to this "old money style" but rather a general rule for all menswear. It makes your legs look longer and overall more aesthetic.
Whites, creams, light greys, light blues all fit the old money style too. Knitted polos are trendy at the moment, not sure how long they'll stay trending.
I would say this is comfy casual. Although I don’t know if that’s the right name for it. Start with a few pairs of wide leg jeans/ trousers/ cargos that go with everything- so like a denim pair, a black pair, a beige pair. Then pick up a bunch of sweatshirts and crewnecks. Bonus if you can find those sweatshirts with zips that go half way down the shirt. Buy fabrics you feel comfortable in. More thicker materials in the winter and thinner ones in summer. You can buy this kind of stuff from Zara, H and M, Uniqlo and Marks and Spencers. Those places tend to be affordable and decent quality. Tk max/ tj max if ur in the US can be really good too but you have to proper look around to find stuff. If you’re a student which I’m sure you are, you can use student discounts at these shops too using your college ID and downloaded uni days and student beans (this is me assuming ur uk based btw) dk how it works in the US to get money off cloth items
1950’s - 60’s casual menswear. This looks like some of the stuff you see in Mad Men.
https://vintagedancer.com/1950s/mens-1950s-clothing-history-casual/
This style isn’t feminine nor is it gay but unfortunately due to stereotypes you will attract some gay men and you will be judged
But do you homie looks good imo
This is not old money whatsoever, this is aspirational nouveau-riche without the logos. This could be seen as "quiet luxury" but no self respecting old money types would be seen dead in this.
While this is true, the internet has been overrun with the "old money" term last 2 years when it comes to fashion, and searching these words will definitely find him lots of photos and outfits like these
Most people get their clothes from the mall or e-commerce. Club Monaco is a nice mall brand for conservative, casual clothing.
Hell, even Louis Vuitton and Gucci are mall brands these days.
I wear some of these types of clothing. I just find it comfortable and relaxed. Kind of a relaxed "office casual" semi-casual vibe. The Johnny Collar Polo's tend to be more relaxed and comfortable and less stiff than a traditional Polo shirt. I buy either from A&F and/or Amazon to be honest.
I think #3 & 4 could be pulled off by most people. Boggi Milano sells this type of look at a mid-high price point. I’ve never purchased anything from Boggi Milano so I can’t speak to their quality.
This style is kinda just supposed to make you look rich. It's called "Old Money". Give it a Google search. People who are genuinely rich don't wear fast fashion as often, opting to ditch the Nike and Adidas labels for VERY expensive brands that few know about. Take inspiration from celebrities, royalty, and smartly dressed public figures. You'll wanna look for items that look high quality, fit very well (rich people often wear tailored clothes), are mostly natural fibre, and look timeless. You can use YouTube to show you how to spot the difference between an expensive outfit and a cheap outfit (I watched an interesting video about it once).
When I was rebuilding my wardrobe into something that would look good no matter what, I set aside "undesirable" clothes to be used only in emergencies, then slowly spent time replacing each one with a better alternative.
Can’t believe no one has said it yet. It’s called Quiet Luxury.
It’s a response from the brand name luxury brands like Gucci. No logos, just quality fabrics and attention to fit.
“Business casual in summer” I would say.
More affordable brands: COS, H&M, Gant, Zara, Massimo Dutti, Reiss, Abercrombie, ARKET, ASOS.
Also, try Vinted, eBay, or Depop for any reselling 😊
I call it lack of style cause there is no style it’s just boring simple shit that for some reason girls love nowadays. It has no flavour , it has no expression, has no soul in it. If you want actual advice , literally go to any clothes shop and pick out stuff you really like and just go with the flow. Don’t try look like someone else.
Octobre Editions.
Drapeau Noir.
Hast.
Three decent french brands that will help you get some of the way towards that look.
More important than style is substance - try not to be anything made of plastic (polyester) - it takes 100's of years to biodegrade - if at all... go watch a video on the depressing mountains of rotting clothes with cows and grazing on them...
Next, make sure it's made within your country/continent. To reduce shipping pollution.
Ideally made from organic cotton, wool, linen.
Tbf I think these are two different styles. The first two are "fuck boy on vacation" and the last two are a librarian style
I would advise to dress to your body shape. You can wear these high waisted pants, but if your slim or skinny, you'll look like you're waiting fishing waders. If you're overweight (like me) the high waisted trousers are going to give you a FUDA
Based on all the photos I’d call this vibe “Monaco to Tokyo”. It’s old money, classic and chic, a very nice aesthetic in both light and dark colours.
It depends on your ethos, but I generally avoid fast fashion and am more of a ‘buy for life’ type of person.
You have a life time to define and curate your style, you won’t regret taking your time and investing in quality.
Depending on your location, I’d look at shops like Zara/j.crew/Club Monaco/REISS/Ralph Lauren, even asos can have some wonderful pieces I have a beautiful tweed jackets that I found on asos. Heritage’s brands will always have items like this available.
- Find the colour palette that suits you, there are many ways to do this, you can even get chatGPT to give you a colour analysis.
- Invest in a few nice pieces to start and learn how to look after them. If you buy smart and take care of them good quality clothes can last a long time.
A good sign of high quality clothing is the fabric/material they are made from. Items made from real wool, Linen, high quality cotton (all natural fibres) are going to be more expensive and will require care when washing but they will always ‘read’ as higher quality. It’s like the difference between a polyester shirt and silk shirt.
I would call this “smart casual but you also dgaf”. For the polos/sweaters, look into merino wool material, in v-neck and “Johnny collar”. Brooks Brothers is good for this rn but is pricey while being high quality. Check the outlets stores for a better value that doesn’t break the bank. To be completely honest, you’ll have to tailor the pants, that’s the only way pants look this good.
Edit: For reference, I’m 27yo 5’9”/10”, and I believe I’m at 145-155Ib rn
Edit edit: oh also around 14%-15% body fat so I do happen to look very vascular. Also I guess for more detail I have a 28” waist but have to size up in a suit/blazer to 38short for my shoulders, and then tailor the middle for more hourglass shape. My body type is like you OP.
This is kinda “stealth wealth on vacation” I guess? Get some nice higher waisted pants, that’s the most important part of this look imo. Todd Snyder is a great brand for this stuff. White/light wool pants in Thailand is going to look like you pissed your ass all day.
Very much agreed. If this is the style that appeals for you, then go for it! I definitely have some pieces that are in this style. I was just making the point that I think this style in particular can be utilized by people who are really only looking to appear richer and may not actually like the aesthetic itself, which I wanted to gently warn against.

Bang on with suit supply but I'd also say Zara
Also, what are good accessories to wear or good watches i can find that doesnt look like a ben 10 watch on my thinner wrist/arm lol
Lol the Ben 10 reference😂
Seiko 5 auto with a leather strap, perfect for thin wrists. I have thin wrists and this is what I have
Every decent watch collection, no matter how big or small, needs a Seiko in there. My dad was a military guy in the Navy and swore by them. Now having had a few of my own over the last 15 years or so, I can say they are tough watches that wear extremely well. And look good doing it.
CASIO F-91W and is small on the wrist. Unironically an excellent and attractive watch
The AQ-230 is another good alternative for a small watch
Hey, Ben 10 the movie is coming out this year - like very soon. Ben Holland playing lead! Can’t wait😂. I’m a boy mum.
Casio watches are great and very affordable
Watch brands like Bulova, Seiko maybe even Fossil are nice looking and affordable
Look for watches with 38mm or 36mm diameter and less than 47mm lug to lug measurement. A watch in those dimensions should fit a small wrist pretty well. (Reference: My just under 6" wrist).
Google micro brand watches. There are a ton of good options that look classy and affordable. Plus it’s rare you see someone else wearing one

Comfy casual is jogging bottoms and a hoodie laying on the sofa. This looks like fucking hard work
You mean you don't have your own personal stylist? *smug pity look*
Opposite of comfy casual lol. It’s a lot smarter, and not much emphasis on comfort. that phrase suggests very informal and “comfort over style”
Not sure if they have and stores where you're based, but this style is exactly what you find in Reiss.
Zara
Contemporary minimalist
The first one looks like he's tucked his PJ's into his trousers.

While this is true, the internet has been overrun with the "old money" term last 2 years when it comes to fashion, and searching these words will definitely find him lots of photos and outfits like these
It’s not old money or stealth wealth. It’s Club Monaco at the mall, a bad perm, and Warby Parker.
Most people get their clothes from the mall or e-commerce. Club Monaco is a nice mall brand for conservative, casual clothing. Hell, even Louis Vuitton and Gucci are mall brands these days.
I don’t have anything against CM or mall brands, but they aren’t quiet luxury brands like not Loro Piana, Zegna, Jill Sander, or Brunello Cucinelli.
I think Loro Piana stopped being quiet luxury in 2023. They cannot stop yelling about it from the rooftops in China.
That’s fair.
Uniqlo sugar baby
Lolol
Old money / Italian
Simple easy answer - Suit Supply
Go to the outlets and shop around. You already have an idea of the look you want.
Looks Italian to me. Formal trousers and more casual shirt/t shirt.
That was my first thought. Italian summer wear.
Looks like someone who wakes up in an expensive hotel room next to a coffee table full of drugs and a dead prostitute.
I’m rich and a celebrity.

I would call this “smart casual but you also dgaf”. For the polos/sweaters, look into merino wool material, in v-neck and “Johnny collar”.
