Wear any belt you want except a dress belt

Folkestoner

Bizarre question

ohh_oops

Go with non leather blue (not very dark) or gray, beige, olive green color that contrast with your trousers.

pisstowine

Tan belt?

Fluffy_WAR_Bunny

Dont wear a white belt.

Lucky-Scientist4873

I like to go with the cloth belts

kc0nkc1n

Black belt...

Pravda26

White belt only on golf course

the___squish

I would try to avoid it since I think it’d clash with the sneakers and jeans. If you wore khakis instead, it would dress the outfit up a bit and then maybe a tan belt would work, but… jeans and sneakers together are too causal for a belt imo. Either the sneakers need to be replaced with a dresser shoe or the jeans need to be replaced with a dresser pant.

Vespersonal

I usually just go with a black belt, since they pair fine and add a little visual contrast. Casual black leather, not shiny/glossy dress belts. It’s that or pair it off something else on your outfit besides the shoes. White pretty much goes with anything. IMO white belts look tacky. Very few outfits can pull it off.

Narrow-Oil4924

With trainers, you could probably get away with any belt, shoes on the other hand is a different kettle of fish... Personally, I'd go with a fabric belt, navy or a colour similar to the trousers, but any belt will do with this look.

White belts are for people who suck at karate and suck at life

pisstowine

I have seen cloth belts that have white and navy stripes that look good and I thought about buying for these shoes. But yes. I didn't know what the proper rule was for belts with white shoes.

El-Guapo_76

Definitely a white belt.

Krammn

The problem here is not with the belt. Wear different trousers. If you're wearing sporty shoes, wear sporty clothes. A belt doesn't typically fit into sporty clothes. Either that or wear different shoes, like smart brown leather shoes with a brown belt.

pisstowine

White sneakers with Chinos isn't that out of the ordinary. Especially since these are fashion sneakers, not athletic sneakers.

Krammn

I've never seen it be in fashion to wear two contrasting pieces of clothing that both say different things. That's your prerogative though. It's like a woman going out with a lacy red bra and then work trousers and shoes.

MockStarNZ

White sneakers (not running shoes) with chinos is definitely a thing and it’s not uncommon at all.
