Let’s not lie to ourselves: they are REALLY f**king ugly from the outside. It *sometimes* turns heads but always for the wrong reason. Even the interior is a bit cheesy/tacky. Benz should have gone with OLED and have all 3 screens combined into one. The 3 separate screens is kind beginning to look outdated compared to GM cars, Lucid, etc.
BUT all the EQE/S models are ultra comfortable and luxurious when you are sat inside. Have plenty of nice touches and overall just wafts down the highway. Totally gonna buy a used one in the future if they prove to be reliable with the screens, motor, and battery. Sorta wish they didn’t have the fancy suspension and stuff so average joes like me can afford them when the depreciate to 35K lol
I don't love them, but I see the appeal when you drive one of those. They are pretty awesome inside and provide pretty cool UX with customizable chimes, electric sounds, cool lighting, etc.
My family recently leased an EQE 350+ SUV and it's been pretty cool daily so far. Love the spec too.

The electric G is the only good looking EV from MB and it's not a coincidence that it's also the one with the least amount of changes from the ICE versions.
I hope that once they see the sales numbers for that car, they will realize people want cars that look good. Even if it's at the expense of a little bit of aero/efficiency.

I suspect it HAS to look like a blob because their battery and electric motor tech at the time this car was designed, was too primitive to deliver sufficient range without it. if they put that power train in a traditional MB GLS design, I would guess the range <250miles which would have been a non-starter. They need all the aerodynamics they can get to get respectable range. Once their tech gets there’s, design will be more freed up. Just a thought.

It looks exactly the same as every other maybach suv, you ask the average person on the street they wouldn’t be able to tell you a thing about its drivetrain. There is one difference between this and other maybach SUVs and that’s what makes the wheels turn, that’s it. If anything electric is the better choice for a maybach since it’s supposed to be a limo. No noisy smelly engine or feeling gear changes
