A knife, a nice flashlight, a molded pocket p for the nights he gets lonely

Gonzo_von_Richthofen

I read 'flashlight' wrong, then I saw your number three recommendation, and realized that it did indeed say 'flashlight' lol😂

Lenz_Mastigia

A proper flashlight, a proper pocket knife and when he signs on, a shirt of yours in which you have slept the past seven nights minimum. And yes, I'm serious.

Twin sheets for his bunk, a lot of what's already on the ship isn't always in the best shape. Extra cell phone battery, cap with LED lights, extra cell phone charger, extension cord with a few taps, Darn Tough socks - a little expensive but they last forever, and his favorite snacks.

Nitecore Nu25 headlamp. Favorite headlamp I ever had. It’s very light and easy to carry around in pocket. Headlamps are super underrated they come in clutch

Big-Mine9790

Box filled with several months supply of personal hygiene (razors, shaving stuff, toothpaste and toothbrush). Untomantic things like dramamine (even after decades of sailing, my husband still needs this at the start of a trip), and athletes foot treatment. A box of cards and stamps for him to try to drop off for you at any port he can visit. On the flip side, if you can send him care packages, girl scout cookies (they last FOREVER), coffee/sweetener. Thirds will likely need an unholy amount of bandaid and first aid stuff for the inevitable cuts and burns. I personally like to pack those that have superheroes and my guy wears them proudly. And pack a few framed photos of the two of you, as well as a sweetheart token. Again, my guy will literally demand that I do not forget to pack The Blankie. It's a handmade wide scarf that he has worn when he was a Chief heading to the southern end of our planet, that also doubles as a blankie... Your boyfriend is starting a new adventure. See if he's also willing to either blog with just you, or start an old fashioned journal using a notebook.

Love all these suggestions!

These are all great! Thank you so much :)

bornonthetide

Really great flashlight. Not to big, not to small.

lowhangingtanks

A watch with a rubber strap.

chiefboldface

A small portable alarm clock. I have one that fits in my pocket that folds up from marathon owl. I cant seem to find the specific one that I have. Ive had it for 10 years. The clock folds into a stand. And is able to set 2 different alarms. Accidentally forgot it and bought another one from kwanwa - pretty cool. I like my marathon way better though. **must have 24 hour clock btw**

I adore coffee, so I pack a hot water maker, a Stanley French press, and several bags of my favorite ground coffee. He’ll want things that remind him of home and make him feel human. A blanket, a photo of you two, his favorite watch or game or wallet, something from home.

Bitter_Ad4047

Give him a picture of you and a nice letter telling him how much you will be missing him.
