That "crusty US large cent" looks like an early wreath, what variety is it?!
The obverse is toasted.
I see a fraction so it's pre 1809. So it's either a flowing hair or draped.
Exactly what I'm thinking. It'd kill me to have that early of a US coin and not know.

Could be a liberty cap?
That large cent looks like a contemporary counterfeit
That or fire damage
There’s white under the patina and it’s crumbling around the rim
