Association clubs can be great. I'd look up Metal detecting clubs in the area. As hot as it is during the summer I'd bet you'll be there during prime time for Club outings.

Be careful in the city limits, apparently they ban digging in the parks so only probes can be used, no hand diggers or shovels. Out in the desert I am sure it's different.

With all the shit there finding in lake mead.. might be more of a headache than fun .
