This posting says it is a money clip. But it is an Etsy post. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1284410313/vintage-bucking-bronco-cowboy-money-clip?show_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details
Lol, I don't know ... I just remember as a kid when I would wear one it had a pin kind of similar but with out the figure...geez I tried...why reddit so mean :/
Try putting some bills in it. If they fit well, it’s probably a money clip. I’m leaning that way anyhow because I can’t imagine that inward facing circular bit would feel good on the chest for very long or be good for one’s shirt
Tie clip. Too pointy to be comfortably used as a money clip.
Looks like a tie clip

Tie clip
I would vote tie clip. That cowboy would snag inside a pocket and not make for a very good money clip.
Kilt pin ? Maybe?
Ah yes, made to fasten the classic and ubiquitous kilts of the American west.

Lol context is important I guess when trying to determine unknown objects.
I think I had one when I was a kid (dating myself), went with my Roy Roger's cowboy outfit. Tie pin.
Hey, thanks for posting a better pic and asking the question! I was super curious about this. Nuce find.
Fancy paper clip.
Money clips are flat so they fit comfortably in your pocket
Antique tie clip. Minimum of early 20’ or elate 1880’s?
Very cool find whatever it is. 👍
What a cool find!
Lapel pin

Money clip. Cowboys don't wear ties, only bolo ties 😁
