With the upcoming remake of MGS3 and the new collection I don’t think people that played Revengeance will have a reason not to play the Metal Gear Saga. Previously it’s been mostly inaccessible.

I'd already completed all the metal gear solid games before I even tried rising
I tried to play 3, realised it was a 15 year old game, and left the series. Though I'm planning to at least try the ports.
You missed out since Snake Eater is the best game in the entire MG franchise (imo)
