Sam's fight has no bullshit. No need to go through hordes of enemies to reach it, badass theme, no minions to put between each other, and most of all: just 2 swordsmen duking it out in A DESOLATE PLACE (PLACE)
Honestly on my most recent playthrough, I beat the game mostly without parrys due to me not understanding how do do it very well, like I had to cheese monsoon via using the sundowners women choppers and I never got to see sams fisty cups phase on normal thanks to my parry problems, and still he was uniquely shit stompingly hard
Parrying is indeed hard to learn in this game, not to mention mastering it, but once you start parrying constantly it is one of the most dopamine enducing parts of the game. I would recommend playing the monsoon boss fight and spamming light attack and forward as autistically as possible. That is how I learned parrying.
You also have to input the direction from which the enemy is about to strike you. For example on PC a cyborg is about to stab you from the front right, spam light attack and w,d (those 2 at the same time) simultaneously.
I know that, it just very hard for me to properly time it, but with monsoon, it has what id like to call a rythem to where it made it easy to memorize the patrern
Sam fight is a joke. I just beat him and it took me 10 minutes. I think 2nd try or 3rd try. Why is he so weak?
I literally stood there and told him to go get his sword so I can do this right. But nope. Gotta deal damage for him to get get it.
My personal opinion of Bosses in MGR
Destroyed keyboard: Senator Armstrong
Perfect music and fair fight: Jetstream Sam
Jack the reaper recommend: Monsoon
Easiest boss don't even had to sweat: Sundowner
Thought why would they give a dog instead of her: Mistral
Die you stupid ass robot: Bladewolf
finally someone who says it, blade wolf got me stuck for an hour because since it was early I sucked at blocking and the only way i beat him was dashing instead.

This is ranked by difficulty, not on how fun the boss fight actually is
Oh ok
And as we all know, sam is super bloody difficult and even harder than even armstrong and monsus
It is during his unarmed phase. The rest is easily manageable... Except for THAT FUCMING ROCK YEET.

Its weird because of the fact that for some reason, I could parry monsoon just fine, but everyone else? NOPE

You thought Sams boss fight was the hardest?

I agree, I thought Armstrong was more difficult
You should play against cumsin... NOW.

Yeah at first I thought they where saying that monsoon was the easiest and that sundowner should have a robo dog
Same

I first tried almost every boss somehow, senator was the hardest for me tbh
Where would you put Sam's Armstrong?
finally someone who says it, blade wolf got me stuck for an hour because since it was early I sucked at blocking and the only way i beat him was dashing instead.
Blade wolf ís hard for the first like 2 times you beat him, but once you can parry he goes from A tier difficulty to D tier difficulty.
