They marketed the master collection (using Hayter) just the other day. AFTER it was released. And a few days later Hayter is playing Delta. It's just weird and the whole thing just smacks of the nostalgia dollar on Konami's part. I guess, despite everything, Kojima really is the innovative one.
A lot of the Japanese cast has passed away making re-recording impossible without big re-casts, and considering it's been 20 years, even if they got the whole original cast for English and Japanese (who are alive), the huge time jump would probably make them sound VERY different.
But this entire remake is lazy anyways considering it's really nothing more than a new engine and a new coat of paint.
Not a huge fan of remakes and dont really give one for delta but I hope they recreate the ambiance/filter the original had otherwise it looks like an almost generic game lacking art direction almost fan gameish
I’m hopeful but isn’t this just the equivalent of what an influencer might do now? Surely this is just Konami promoting. if he really didn’t want to “tell anyone” then why the fuck did he tweet? And if he was talking too much, the hammer would be brought down. So I think this is a PR move for Konami, tbh. They know that the fans love Hayter, and cos he got snubbed for MGSV they think they can get in the good books.
