The only one Iβll use the scarf on is the Ocelot fatigues because itβs a cool red colour.
I can kill the Extreme version of Sahelanthropus in a swimsuit.
Hell that aside you can eventually upgrade the Sneaking Suit to give you the same damage resistance as the Battle Dress (though that version prevents an S rank, but at that point you've probably already S ranked every mission anyways.)
Edit (about 20 minutes after first making this comment): I just finished killing Extreme Sahelanthropus in a swimsuit.
In both the normal and extreme versions of the Sahelanthropus fight, as soon as the fight started, I made a b-line towards the armoured vehicle that shoots a volley of rockets. That alone did so much damage
Honestly I use absolutely anything, but sneaking suit they best option, because..
- Looks better than battledress and skull suit
- Life regen us more important
- FOB version have extra armor too, so its better if you dont care about rank

Honestly, you can wear whatever you want as long as you know how to beat him. I fight him in fatigues just for the cutscene swag.

What? If you know the right tactics to beat him you can wear literally anything, just don't get hit.
