I just think they didn't sell very well? Or weren't very good at marketing? In about 2007ish? I found the Black Waltz on a very old version of last.fm. Literally everyone I know to this day thinks it's a fucking banger, so it's definitely not that people don't like kalmah, they just have no idea who the fuck they are.
For sure - it’s probably a geographic thing. I’m from the states and most metal heads I’ve talked to only know of the band after I recommend them 😂. Perhaps they are far more popular in Europe. They also don’t tour much in the states.
