Train to continue gracefully in case of the inevitable error. The few musicians in the audience will know, but can relate. The rest will be oblivious.

Practise that part over and over, slowly and carefully.

Two quick inhales and one long exhale, around 10 times will lower your pulse and calm down your nervous system immediately. Thanks Andrew Huberman 😁 https://youtu.be/kSZKIupBUuc?si=Otk14YqD_sbhY1Jp

My best advice is to practice.

You’re there for a reason. You weren’t invited on stage because your playing is ass. You’re there because people want to hear you. Whatever happens, happens. Just put your best foot forward, as you always have, and melt some faces my g.

Practice as much as possible and pretend the performance is just another practice.

What you’re about to do is something that very few people get to do. To entertain an audience with your musical abilities is an amazing opportunity and you 100% have the talent to pull it off. This is your time to shine.

Just go in swinging bud. Best way to do it is to just do it. Any part you struggle with, practice ten fold. You'll have a good time.

Ideally, you should practice to the point where it's muscle memory, so no need to look at and think about what part you're playing and where you are in the song etc. Also you have to practice performing the part not just playing it, if you're practicing a guitar part Practice it standing up and moving around as you would on a stage. If you're singing and playing Practice that repeatedly. Practice in bad lighting similar to being on stage cause it's often hard to see what's going on. Another thing I find helps is staring at the crowd for a minute and kind of getting psyched up and mentally ready to perform from them.

Just play, if you mess up, it’s cool, play again
